Great place for travelers looking to visit the bay area or for families visiting relatives here in Alameda. 5 min drive to Alameda Ferry and 2 min walk to SF bus (25 mins to SF). This is a 1 bedroom, one bath duplex in a great neighborhood. Although its a 1 bed unit we do have a set of bunk beds in the bedroom and a pack-n-play crib for a infant. Its great for a couple or a family of 4 who would rather have access whole house rather than squeezing into a hotel room.

I lived in Penderwick Cottage for a week and change and really enjoyed my stay. The space was super clean, quiet, and full of light, and the bed and armchair were very comfortable. I spent a whole afternoon working out of that armchair :) The shower pressure was great, too. And the snacks in the fridge and the bottle of wine were a very thoughtful touch. I picked this listing for its location (which is fabulous) but it delivered much more than I was expecting. Loved it.

Charming, quiet and spacious with a beautiful backyard. Lots of natural light, beautiful original hardwood floors, comfortable beds. Big dining room table ideal for games, well equipped kitchen. We loved this quiet neighborhood convenient to services including a nearby Trader Joe's. It's also just a few minutes walk from El Cerrito Natural Grocery and Annex, a fantastic spot. Friendly, responsive hosts. We will definitely stay here again when we're in the area!

Jeff's old victorian home is beautiful. Walls decorated with paintings and details that give warm and cozy ambiance. The big backyard gives you room to stretch n breathe. We got sweet oranges to enjoy with bfast too. Restaurants were within 15-30 minutes walking distance. Roomy driveway. The only drawback is the one bathroom. Taking turn for shower took a while for 4 of us.
