Smoking friendly vacation rentals in Alameda County

Frank and team were very responsive and accommodating of some slight changes to the itinerary. The space was well appointed, and the decor was quite cozy and congenial. It's a nice roomy space. It's fairly walkable to Temescal (a place with a lot of happening restaurants) and the Rockridge BART station. All in all, one of the better AirBNB experiences I've had.

We very much enjoyed staying at Ann's Casabella. It is in a fun part of town (Temescal) and walking distance from the Bart station. We felt safe overall and wish we could have stayed longer. Ann was kind enough to give us an orientation when we first arrived, giving us tips about the property that we wouldn't have known on our own. Ann has specific instructions for check-in, just follow them and you'll be fine! The kitchen was fully stocked, and the internet was fast and reliable- perfect for my husband who worked from home during our stay. Our unit was cozy, with a nice seating area out front and a large tree by the sidewalk that provided privacy from the street. Ann supplied us with everything we needed and gave us space. She was also kind enough to share one of the many books she's written with me. Thankyou, Ann, for a lovely stay!

Had a short assignment at a job site 1/2 mile from apartment which made my life easy. Abdul works in Fremont so we both were coming and going with different schedules. He cooks and I cook a little and we never had any issues with sharing kitchen which was well stocked with utensils. I have a hearing problem but never had any communication issues. He has many friends at the complex and everyone looks out for each other. There were no noise issues or unsafe feelings. Alameda is a great town with many restaurants and lots to do if you are vacationing. I have enjoyed staying at many Airbnb locations in US and Japan and meeting a wide range of interesting people.

I loved this BNB I felt at home and Anthony is amazing! I expressed any issue I had and Anthony was super helpful and respectful and responsive!! We tried to book for an extra but sadly someone had booked it!! The place is very cute very comfy and I felt at home.. it was the perfect place to have a couples day

We can't speak higher of Ann or the three bedroom apartment. The apartment is within walking distance of great restaurants, bars, and shops in both directions on Telegraph. A short ride from Berkeley, Downtown Oakland, and San Francisco. The apartment is safe and convenient. Private access to the on-site laundry room is a plus! Thank you Ann for your generous hospitality!

Making a 1000+-mile work trip, arriving at the guest room at John's was a most welcome experience: clean clear space, serene, pleasant. Told the host that had I known of his offering, it would have been worthwhile to have used his airbnb as a central location and traveled to other parts of the bay area to work. The clean and tidy bathroom was just across the hall. If desired, a guest would have access to a refrigerator and stove, though most guests normally dine out. After using airbnbs for jobs, I find that staying in a person's home works best for me. There are offerings which are homes with partitioned spaces, or rooms with numbers and locks on them, like dorms, which might work for some - a bit too impersonal for my tastes. So if a traveler is looking for a nice, quiet, and comfortable budget-friendly people-home, can recommend John's place in Oakland, CA.

Great find for a quick trip to Oakland! This spot was perfect for my needs and host was kind and helpful. Bathroom is shared, but had no problem accessing. Shower head is a bit low but wasn't a problem for me. There is a small dog in the residence for those with allergies.

We stayed about a month during a relocation and Joanie was a host after my own heart. The house had thoughtful touches and nice amenities throughout (like heated bathroom floors and towel racks). The beds and bedding were comfy. We loved all the citrus trees and the hummingbirds who came to visit the feeders daily. It was nice having both fenced front and back yards since we have a dog. Joanie was responsive to any questions and a minor maintenance issue. The house is centrally located in a busy neighborhood. The only negatives for us were that we were working from a home a lot and the neighborhood was a bit loud for us during the day (car doors slamming, construction, drummer). But the evenings were quiet for sleep which is the more important thing. We had some trouble with the big dog next door barking at our dog through the fence, but Joanie immediately worked to help improve that situation. Overall, we had a great stay and we appreciated Joanie's flexibility and hospitality.

This is the second time we have stayed at Richard’s place. We love that there are 3 separate bathrooms and also felt safe in the neighborhood. It is close to a gas station, grocery store, and a freeway.
