North Berkeley Backyard Cottage

JustinRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Hosts were very responsive, and said hi to us upon arrival. Bed was comfortable. Plus is a full sized fridge. Didn’t use stove but it seemed very nice and new. All amenities were provided, but nothing rather special. Fan is incredibly loud in bathroom, and steps to cottage are a bit uneven, so be careful. Not recommended for someone with limited mobility. Had a mishap at the gate with the code, but Jenn was very responsive and got us in right away. Overall great location and nice place to stay.

82 “ Pool, Jacuzzi , HOT SAUNA, VIEWS, Newer ADU!

BrookeRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We loved our time here! Not only were Darren and Laura wonderful hosts and communicators, but the property genuinely exceeded our expectations, the Airbnb was MORE beautiful in person than in the photos (hard to believe, I know), and the location of the neighborhood was incredible — high up on a hill of a beautiful and safe neighborhood. 😍 Only recommendation for future guests — book one extra day!! There is so much to do and such little time! We would’ve loved to have one more day to enjoy the Airbnb a little more. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!

Great location and stay. I was traveling with my wife and baby. Radhia was extremely understanding and flexible with check-in. The space itself was a little small for three but we made it work.

Charming Cottage near Stanford in Lovely Garden

PeterRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Margaret and Phil's cottage lives up to its listing - it truly is a cozy cottage in the midst of a lush, private, wooded garden setting. Although it's in the midst of Atherton near San Francisco, it feels quiet and much further away than it really is. The neighborhood is excellent for walking - wooded, with many interesting and historic houses. The hosts are wonderful - pleasant and engaging to talk with, and very hospitable; they went out of their way to help make our trip more comfortable in various ways. The golden retriever Sadie (the third host!) is extremely friendly, and makes everyone feel very welcomed. Although the cottage is essentially one open floor plan, it does not feel too small, and the many windows provide a lot of light and views out to the gardens. This is the kind of place that would be great not only as a base of operations, but as a destination in its own right, suitable for just relaxing. We hope to stay here again.

New, Secluded Tiny Home on a creek with a fire pit

SaraRating, 5 stars3 days ago
this was such a luxurious, relaxing stay! sparkling clean, smelled fresh and looked like no one had ever stayed before me. there’s perfectly placed storage for everything, beautiful applinces, a dreamy shower and extra comfy + cozy furniture. you can open it up to feel even bigger with the patio, i enjoyed most of my meals and wine out there with a book. this space was a reprieve for me with enough nature to relax without committing to being outdoorsy. the property as a whole is beautiful and secluded while remaining conveniently located— i love having the combination of privacy but a nearby host as a solo traveler to feel comfortable. do yourself a favor and stay here with your partner, bestie or take a solo couple days off like i did. PS — any plant based friends MUST try Blossom & Root in downtown Danville, amazing food and drinks!

This place was amazing, recently moving from another stay we had to rent for 2 weeks while we waited for our things. This place had everything we could have needed. If you have dogs Ela’s place will be perfect for you, the backyard is fenced and my dogs loved it. The location is also great as there are a lot of stores, supermarkets and restaurants nearby.

We had such an amazing time staying at Barak’s cottage! Everything was super well thought out and conveniently laid out, with clear instructions. The neighborhood is absolutely lovely and peaceful! Barak was very helpful in making sure that we were comfortable and had everything that we needed. The laundry came in super handy as well before we moved on with the rest of our trip.

Quiet and cozy guesthouse

AcaciaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Laura's place was just what I needed for a short respite from a few months of a lot of changes. The location was great for me and was accessible (within walking or short bus ride) to many locations- grocery store a few blocks down and the 88 takes you anywhere from downtown Oakland to Berkeley and beyond. Note-across the street is a very active group of residents that may seem unruly but are actually very amenable- but if you're not used to urban settings I'd ask Laura and Luis more about it. In terms of the space, there my favorite was the spa, which I used almost everyday, adding much needed relaxation. Laura and Luis were super responsive and very warm, which made the stay even more enjoyable. As a tiny home, it's perfect for one person or a very in-tune couple. I would def stay again and thank Laura and Luis for the comfy spot!

Berkeley Bitty House - a little bit of home

AaronRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Eugenia’s place and Eugenia and her husband are fantastic… One of the most comfortable organic cotton beds I’ve ever slept on, the most enchanting, beautiful property, and every appliance state of the art, efficient and intentional with the touch of love. Eugenia brought me teas, and various unconventional items I asked for. And the natural light and airflow were wonderful. And very healing and the most peaceful and healing neighborhood I’ve stayed at in the East Bay. For anyone looking for a healing retreat, Book this place as soon as possible

Cozy Cottage in Alameda

RichardRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Ena's cottage was adorable. The living room is spacious; the bedroom and kitchen were also great. We really appreciated treats and coffee in the kitchen. The old-fashioned bathtub was cute, but a bit challenging for 2 older people. Everything was well done and very comfortable. We were able to walk to a coffee shop and market which was a real plus. We'd love to stay again!

I'm a return visitor, and this place never fails to delight. Location is perfect for those that need to get into the city, but also ideal for a stroll around Rockridge or College Ave. It is easy to make yourself right at home, and live like a local from this spot. I bring my truck when I come, and parking is easy and perfect for my needs.

New private home

ElisabethRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This place was spotless, elegant, and very efficiently designed. Everything is brand new, including the kitchen with its glass cooktop (and cover) and bathroom (with its bidet). It was very easy getting in and there's off street parking. We appreciated the coffee and tea supplies that Melanie provided, and the bed was very comfortable. There was just enough space for the two of us and we plan to come back for longer stays, since our son lives a few blocks away. Thank you, Melanie!

North Oakland Private Stand-Alone Garden Glamping!

LydiaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
An awesome place to stay if you're just looking for a bed to come home to after your adventures. The cabin is MUCH more spacious than it looks in the photos. Louise also has two guest notebooks, one for messages and the other for helpful tips; I thought it was a very nice touch. Tons of books to read and the garden is absolutely outstanding! My partner and I will definitely be coming back if we find ourselves in need of a quaint little sleep shack again. P.S. Bring flip-flops for your walk to and from the shower!

Rockridge Garden Cottage

BetsyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My husband spent two nights at Nanci’s cottage (I was unable to go with him). He shared with me the place was spotless, private, quiet, well-appointed, in a great area with lots of walkable restaurants and coffee shops, very comfortable for sleep, and had a beautiful garden with wildflowers near the cottage entrance. It was a perfect spot for him. Highly recommended for a solo traveler or for a cozy couple. Would definitely consider again next time we’re in Oakland.
