Cottage vacation rentals in Ventura

We really enjoyed our stay at Dana's cottage. It was very clean and comfortable with a kichen that had everything we needed to cook great meals. The neighbors were friendly and it was in a great location for enjoing all Ventura and the surrounding area has to offer!

**An Amazing Stay!** We had an incredible five-night stay at this wonderful Airbnb after our wedding, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. The comfortable furniture and cozy atmosphere made it feel like a home away from home. We slept like babies in the super comfy bed! The neighborhood was fantastic, and we enjoyed surfing every day and indulging in delicious meals. You have to check out Malibu Brew Co and get a burger and a couple of beers. The hosts were exceptional—they clearly know how to run an Airbnb and made our experience unforgettable. This is definitely one of the best Airbnb’s I have ever stayed in. I very highly recommend.

Really really enjoyed my stay this is for someone who likes outdoors and unique scenery !! The indoors is really small really only to sleep and watch some tv the experience is definitely all outdoors it feels like a nature paradise! I would strongly only recommend coming if u can adjust to the outdoors and nature 🥰 only thing I will say is there are ALOT OF STAIRS LOL😭 but the host is very responsive and gives you everything you need to enjoy your stay 🥰 my favorite part is the jacuzzi and the hammocks

Ivan’s place was great! The cottage is very comfortable, private and has everything we needed. Great location and the hot tub made our stay even more relaxing. Would definitely stay there again!

What a special, SPECIAL place. I was so sad to leave and STILL wish I was there right now. The perfect little escape, was pretty much a wellness retreat. We got to reset and relax before the start of the new year in this storybook home surrounded by Mother Nature. Doing yoga under the trees, seeing all the hummingbirds and butterflies come to visit, enjoying the cowboy hot tub under the stars, sweating it out in the infrared sauna, and getting cozy inside the most charming home was exactly what we needed after a long year of work and travel. This is such a sweet and special place and we can't wait to return one day!! Amazing location. You can have all the privacy, peace and quiet you want, or you can go into "town" and grab a bite or get to the store if needed. Convenient, yet private - the winning combination when it comes to location. All of the stars go to the host - Lynne is a total sweetheart. Super responsive and easy to communicate with. We can't thank her enough!

We had a wonderful time and loved the house! It was extremely clean and well-outfitted. We would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a lovely home in a beautiful location!

Alan’s place is really great with its proximity to downtown Santa Barbara and all the fun restaurants and activities. Alan was a great host. The beds are comfortable and you have everything you need. I will look to book here again on the next visit to Santa Barbara.

What a peaceful place tucked in a quiet hilltop full of nature surroundings. Absolutely no traffic/people noise and lots darkness with an incredible view when the fog rolls away. It blew our minds! A perfect base of operations for a week stay with all we needed and the host right next door (over a private gate) which was helpful when we had a few needs that he responded quickly and kindly. We were impressed how close we were to things even though it felt like we were far, far away. We cannot wait to stay there again! Note to those that drive a Tesla, do NOT use the car gps/maps. It won’t get you there in a direct route. Use Google maps. Plan at least one evening to enjoy the night sky from the hot tub and deck with fire table and grill. It’s not to be missed.

George’s place was the perfect beach getaway! The house was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The location can't be beat - just a short walk to the beach made it so convenient to enjoy the sand and surf. The host was welcoming and check-in was a breeze. I had a wonderful experience and would absolutely recommend this rental to anyone looking for an amazing beach vacation. Five stars all the way!

Wonderful stay. Wanted to get away from LA and have a nature focused time with my dogs. Felt right at home. Perfect little cabin!!

Unique little spot with amazing views. We were even able to get a bit of hiking in - Lisa gave us the inside scoop on how to walk from our lil trailer to the Topanga State Park trails. We spent some time in LA as well as Oxnard to go whale watching - couldn’t have been better situated to access all the good stuff and take some scenic drives (if you’re into that sort of thing). We are into that sort of thing. Well worth the money just for the atmosphere and nature (fell asleep to the croaks of the local frog population) though we didn’t see any. Comfy beds and restful sleep. Thank you!

Tobias was a great host and the property was a whimsical antiquated cottage in a great location. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Easy access to the trails and mountains.

This place was very cute and met our needs for our time in the area. We had an unexpected departure and the host was gracious and flexible. We appreciated that this location was so close to the beach and also some really cute places to eat. The unit is nestled into the trees and is very quiet. The unit was also clean upon arrival and we didn't have any issues during our time there. We would love to return another day!

Stellar location, quiet. safe and short drive to affluent Downtown Montecito and Westmont College. cottage is cozy but has everything you need and nicely done. Garden space is dreamy and lemon tree was loaded. We enjoyed a quiet glass of wine by the fire pit after college visit. French press, newer washer & dryer and quality soaps in the shower we're touches we appreciated on our long weekend.

What a great spot! There is a lot to do within walking distance but there are a lot of stairs to get to the main thoroughfare. The cottage was super cozy for a tiny house. The kitchen had amenities for the first morning which was helpful after a day of travel. We wished we had more time to spend there but there was so much to do in Ventura.

Ari and Alex were extremely communicative from my booking date to check out. They were both generous with recommendations for local restaurants, cafes and provided plenty of dog friendly spots to visit as I had my two small pups with me. The house location and set up was perfect for my parents and had zero stairs (a huge plus for my mom). The home is located just minutes away from Santa Barbara, Montecito and Carpenteria and gave us time to explore and schedule naps in between. The home itself is adorable and offers plenty of storage space for all your belongings. For those that work from home, it’s noteworthy both rooms have a makeshift desk that pulls up from the wall that way one can work in private. My parents and I loved our stay and are already in talks about our next stay here in 2026. It was an absolute dream location paired with fantastic hosts. Thanks again, Alex and Ari!

Jen’s place was so beautiful and clean! The house had everything we needed for a peaceful Summerland getaway by the beach and was perfectly kid friendly for our toddler! We had such a great time and can’t wait to go back!

This was a great gem and had everything we needed. George stopped by with some great recommendations for activities. Downtown Ojai is a few minutes by car. Hikes and meditation mount a bit further, but well worth it.

Leah's place is beautifully situated near the beach, downtown and the Amtrak station. We arrived by train and did not have a car. The beach and restaurants in town all walkable! The cottage is comfortable and quiet. Leah is a very friendly and responsive host. We will certainly stay here when we come back to Carpenteria!

Our stay with Elizabeth at the Swell was fantastic! She was responsive to all questions asked, as well as being very accommodating. The home was quiet and comfortable. We had a perfect weekend in Ventura thanks to our wonderful accommodations!

This was a lovely staycation to get rest after I had a recent surgery - wonderful location and walking distance to great cafes, food, and many things. Parking is super easy which isn't a given for beach towns and Redondo especially. The hosts are responsive and helpful and had no issues at all. Would definitely recommend! Thank you again.

Love this place and the hosts. Stayed here for the M2B marathon. Amazing location by the beach very clean and great if you like to cook or take a walk on the beach. Close enough you don’t need shoes to walk to the beach.

Chuck and Adrian were a great host. They were very easy to communicate and provided clear instructions. We absolutely loved the cottage - a very charming cottage in the Studio Village.

My family and I had a great stay! Upon arriving, I was highly impressed with how clean everything was! We loved being able to walk right across the street and enjoy the beautiful beach views. The location was great and Erica was responsive to any questions we had. She also gave us a great breakfast recommendation. Being able to do laundry was a bonus for me, and the outside sitting area was very relaxing. When visiting the area in the future, we will definitely stay again!
