Cottage vacation rentals in Ventura

We really enjoyed our stay at Dana's cottage. It was very clean and comfortable with a kichen that had everything we needed to cook great meals. The neighbors were friendly and it was in a great location for enjoing all Ventura and the surrounding area has to offer!

**An Amazing Stay!** We had an incredible five-night stay at this wonderful Airbnb after our wedding, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. The comfortable furniture and cozy atmosphere made it feel like a home away from home. We slept like babies in the super comfy bed! The neighborhood was fantastic, and we enjoyed surfing every day and indulging in delicious meals. You have to check out Malibu Brew Co and get a burger and a couple of beers. The hosts were exceptional—they clearly know how to run an Airbnb and made our experience unforgettable. This is definitely one of the best Airbnb’s I have ever stayed in. I very highly recommend.

Our stay here was quick, but just what we were looking for—peaceful and quiet. Our family of six stayed, and one reason we chose it was because each of our four kids would have their own bed. No pillow barriers needed haha. Speaking of beds, these were the *most* comfortable ones we’ve used at an AirBnB. The space was comfy, inviting, and super cool. We loved looking at all the music industry memorabilia, too; what a neat legacy for Michele to share with her AirBnB guests! One thing to note: the place is a converted garage so it is cooled and heated with a mini-split. It wasn’t turned on when we got there, and we wish it had been because it was a pretty cold, drizzly night (December) and took a long time to heat up. So if you stay here, maybe request that it be turned on in advance of your arrival. I’m sure the property management wouldn’t mind at all because they were nothing but accommodating and welcoming. Our big family felt lucky to find this place to stay while in the area.

Highly recommend this place. We will likely return. We have a family of 4 and the fact that it was fenced in, and the kids could be outside wandering around within the fence was pretty awesome. We made great use of the hot tub and the outside dining area. Our 4 year old really enjoyed exploring the rooms and the loft beds. It is just large enough that everyone can have their own separate space, and just small enough to keep an eye on everyone easily. It was also very close to downtown Carpinteria.

George’s place was the perfect beach getaway! The house was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The location can't be beat - just a short walk to the beach made it so convenient to enjoy the sand and surf. The host was welcoming and check-in was a breeze. I had a wonderful experience and would absolutely recommend this rental to anyone looking for an amazing beach vacation. Five stars all the way!

This was an incredible Airbnb! It’s secluded and has an amazing view of the sea right from the bed. If you want to explore the beach, you can just head to the entrance just a few houses over. We even saw dolphins during our walks on the beach!Darryl was also a wonderful and gracious host. He had thoughtfully left out some snacks for us for our arrival, and checked in with us throughout the trip. The fridge was also stocked with condiments so we didn’t need to buy any of those ourselves.

This was an amazing stay for my wife and I's honeymoon. Not only is it a 10 minute walk to the beach, but has quick and easy access to Santa Barbara and Ventura. Reina was kind, helpful, and was always available if we had any questions!

This was a nice little place to stay. It’s kinda secluded but very peaceful. I would recommend it to other people looking for quietness.

We throughly enjoyed our stay here! The location is amazing and the cottage was exactly what we needed. All the beach supplies in the garage were awesome, including the bikes. We used the grill every night on the patio before walking to watch beautiful sunsets. Gary even let us add an extra day at the last minute. Everything was easy, plenty of towels, kitchen/grill supplies, washer and dryer, and even a cordless vacuum. Beds were comfortable and the living room space was perfect for our family of 4. We hope to stay again!

Excellent stay! Very welcoming and the place was perfect for the weekend, very spacious for a longer stay too! Host was very prompt and left clear instructions!

What a great spot! There is a lot to do within walking distance but there are a lot of stairs to get to the main thoroughfare. The cottage was super cozy for a tiny house. The kitchen had amenities for the first morning which was helpful after a day of travel. We wished we had more time to spend there but there was so much to do in Ventura.

The Cottage was the perfect place for me to stay while the interior of my house was being painted. I was easily able to work from there & there were many nice touches like bread & creamer in the fridge. Just wish I had more time to explore the beautiful grounds.

We loved staying at Fawns place. So close to the beach and great restaurants, we also loved the farmers market on Sunday. Will definitely be staying at Fawns place again!

Nancy’s place was perfect for us for our week+ stay while visiting family in the area. The house was immaculate and well stocked with everything that we needed. Nancy was quick to respond to any questions we had. We loved the neighborhood as we are big walkers and the neighborhood streets and the preserve trail right at the end of the road were great for exercise. It was a bit of a cool week while we were in SoCal so the heater/fireplace was a welcome plus for keeping us comfortable. As a tea drinker, I was happy to have an electric tea kettle available while my husband enjoyed the keurig machine and the supply of k-cups Nancy provided. We would certainly stay again.

La Casita Azul is definitely a favorite! Such a beautiful place to stay, very homey and extremely clean! Thank you so much! I can’t wait to book again!

My family and I had a great stay! Upon arriving, I was highly impressed with how clean everything was! We loved being able to walk right across the street and enjoy the beautiful beach views. The location was great and Erica was responsive to any questions we had. She also gave us a great breakfast recommendation. Being able to do laundry was a bonus for me, and the outside sitting area was very relaxing. When visiting the area in the future, we will definitely stay again!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. You cannot find a better deal on the water near Santa Barbara for the space and price. Very safe, totally walkable (grocery store, coffee, beach, some restaurants, liquor store). Host is invested in ensuring your stay is enjoyable. You can walk out the door and have your toes in the ocean in about 4 minutes. If you want two bathrooms, comfy beds, and access to an amazing array of beach zip codes for a very fair price, this is the place.
