Farmstay vacation rentals in Torridge District

We had a fantastic few days in Cornwall visiting friends. Pat and Tony’s place is lovely and in a very quiet spot. The owners were very flexible with check-in and check-out rules. There was even some homemade jam and bread for our breakfast. Tony was very welcoming. We would return any time. The place is tucked away and not very easy to find, but the instructions were clear. Using the “What3Words” app would have made it even easier. I did add the place to my favourites in the app in order to find my way back in the dark.

Wonderful cottage in a peaceful location. Great base for exploring Devon with the kids. Very dog friendly too and the fenced off woods were a fantastic bonus. Cottage was a typical farm cottage (which is what we like) and was very well equipped with everything we could possibly need. The kids loved watching the horses each day. So lucky to have found this little treasure and so lucky with the weather so we could make the most of the little secluded sun spot outside of the Cabin Lovely views ,Cabin well equipped ,clean and comfortable ,we stayed for 2nights ut could easily stayed a few more . Loved our little morming visit from Holly the family Golden Retriever too! Would definitely stay again

We loved our stay in the shepherd's hut. We wanted a peaceful escape surrounded by nature and it was exactly that. We were rained in for one day but it ended up being our favourite experience- the hut is so cosy, everything you need is to hand, and we could sit and watch the scenery for hours. On the sunnier days there is a short walk to the coast path and the views of the coastline. The toilet and shower is the perfect set up, we also loved the outside bath and the wood stove.

Had a fantastic couple of days! Vicky was very helpful with our plans for the weekend; chatting through options and generously picking us up and dropping us off to really facilitate our weekend. She was incredibly flexible, friendly and generous- even lending us an extra pair of waterproof trousers! Super grateful! We will be back- maybe with the kids in the summer! Thank you for all your help.

Rosie’s Retreat was absolute heaven. Quiet and private but close to Bude, pubs and beaches, the hut made for the perfect getaway. The view out over the valley was gorgeous, even in the rain sitting inside with the doors open was a delight. Lucy’s instructions were easy to follow and clear, important to get you out to the hut along a small country lane. It was clean and every detail was thought of. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing hideaway.

Such a beautiful spot, so peaceful and remote yet within easy distances of some great places. The hot tub was a big hit with our 3 year old. Absolutely loved it. Thank you

We loved our stay at the Hide (7 days). The location was perfect for all the things we wanted to do: National Trust locations and long walks along the coastal path and beaches. There is enough said about the stairs, and yes, they are a challenge, but if you take it slowly, no worries. The garden and area are wonderful and private. The owners Katherine and Tino very friendly and welcoming. We can surely recommend the Hide.

Lovely little place with great surroundings everywhere. Great hosts and really friendly. Our 2 x dogs were made to feel as welcome as us. If we were back in that area again then we would stay again. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely week in very peaceful area surrounded by nature. The place was easy to find and very clean. Also gives you anything you need from fridge to dishwasher. The fire pit and the gas BBQ came handy too and you can sit outside even in a rain. The hot tub is nice bonus and the kids loved it. There are few lovely beaches nearby and a few local walks around the area so lots to do. Shops are nearby too. Communication with Matt was really good with quick response. Would definitely recommend! Amazing from start to finish! Great communication, easy directions, smooth self check in and a lovely rural peaceful location! We all felt very welcome. The Shepherd’s Hut was spotless and very well prepared for us with a thoughtful little welcome gifts. We really appreciated the attention to every single detail! The guide book with local tips was very useful. Now I regret not booking more nights as this was only a little stop on our way down to south Cornwall, but we’ll definitely be back! Just a brief stay at Sun Drift, but it was lovely. Fantastic rural location just a short drive to beautiful beaches and the amenities in Braunton. The cabin is located on Susie and Stuart’s drive, but they were very respectful of our privacy. Cabin is very stylish but comfy and welcoming

What a gorgeous lodge. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and set out in its own private area. Comfy bed, peaceful location, surrounded by nature and lots of little touches that made it special. Tim was a great host too. Everything was perfect, couldn't fault it. Still on the drive home, but already talked about staying again later this year!

We loved our stay! The place was beautiful, and the surroundings were peaceful. We’ve never had such a well-equipped kitchen in an Airbnb! The place is perfect if you have kids: we were provided with a cot and a high chair. We even found baby cutlery in the kitchen. The bookshelf was great for reading books to our baby as well. In addition, the recommendations we received were great, and the communication with Liz and Robert was friendly and engaging. Thank you so much for creating such a beautiful place for our stay.

We loved are stay at no3, lovely quiet location and so peaceful, very friendly layback atmosphere in the village and being able to walk straight onto the moor, a real bonus, found parking spaces easily near the cottage. The, Taw River Inn, in Sticklepath and, The Tor, in the village were great for food. Ledford Gorge is definitely worth a visit, just magical.

This place is the most peaceful setting, waking up to a view of the hills, the foliage, the sheep & the cry of the pheasants. It was great! Excellent proximity to trails. Close to town. The space was perfectly appointed, and had all the things we needed to stay comfortably with our 6 month old. I would certainly recommend if you’re needing a recharge in the countryside. And Tanya was quick to respond as needed.

You cannot find a more beautiful and peaceful location for a few days rest within nature. Their homestead is so quiet apart from bird song. The cottage is very calm and comfortable with a beautiful log fire in the cooler evenings. The private garden and terrace you have has wonderful views and is ideal for eating alfresco plus a very roomy private car park. Bed is super comfortable with lovely high quality linen. I would not hesitate to stay again and the cheeky gorgeous Truffle Cockerpoo owners dog is very friendly and welcoming.

We had a wonderful time in the little barn. It was very peaceful with beautiful views. Geeta and Peter are excellent hosts. They were very helpful and obliging. Everyone was very friendly in the village too. Highly recommend.

Thank you so much for an amazing stay. The barn was beautiful and spacious and perfect for socialising with friends or family. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, our only gripe was that we wish we had booked longer!!

We loved staying at the Coach house it was just as in the pictures, and clean/comfortable with many mod cons. The Cream tea provided was delicious and the milk from the Milkiosk was fun/special. Our spaniel loved the field to run round in, although he was a bit naughty on occasion straying with the excitement. The pool is heaven, especialy as it is timetabled per unit meaning we had it all to ourselves for our turns (what a great idea). Just a great location with some lovely beaches and walks along the coastline. We loved it so much we have already booked again for next year.

A little slice of paradise! This unique farm stay was the perfect escape—peaceful, beautiful, and full of charm. We stayed in the little farmhouse, which was very well appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable and cozy stay. The property itself is stunning, with a glamping setup and a fantastic tented bar area that would be perfect for weddings or events. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. Highly recommended!

A lovely short stay at Little Ashton: quiet, rural and private but within easy reach of Bude, a couple of miles away. Its location provides a good base for exploring north Cornwall, Devon and the SW coastal path. The accommodation is exactly as described, with good attention to details providing comfort and convenience. Robert is an excellent host, responding quickly to any queries.

We had a lovely weekend, Fiona and Rob were great hosts and the location was perfect! The surroundings were beautiful as was the hut, with everything you need and more for a great get away. The added touches of cream tea and prosecco on arrival made it extra special. Thank you so much for our stay x
