We had a wonderful stay. The unit was very clean, well outfitted, comfortable beds, and a quiet air conditioner and ceiling fans. Also, they provide a late edition "Hawaii Revealed" book and multiple snorkel and fish guides and a large Big Island map. Despite just two countertop stove burners, they have a great Weber BBQ (love it). Also a French Press for morning coffee along along with a four cup coffee maker. The location is 1/2 mile north of Kahalu'u Beach (beautiful snorkeling), 1/2 mile south of Magic Sands (bodysurfing) and a couple miles south of downtown Kailua-Kona. Park on the grassy strip squeezed between the bike/running path and the rock wall directly across the street from 77-6572 Ali'i Drive. The parking spot is 50 feet south of the intersection with Queen Kalama Avenue. Check the satellite layer on Google maps if unsure. The convenient entry gate will be right there. We highly recommend.

We had a great stay at Ruth’s place - it was clean, quiet, and centrally located for us to explore the island. Ruth had equipped the place with everything you might need - from cooking appliances, tea and coffee, to beach towels and chairs. We have stayed at a few airbnbs, but Chris’s place was the cleanest airbnb we have ever seen. Seriously. Even places that were far more expensive weren’t as clean as this place. Bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms, even the carport- the entire place was spotless and clean. The driveway is steep but our rental car was a Mazda CX-30 and we had no problems going up or down. Rent an suv and follow Chris’s instructions and you’ll be fine. We loved how secluded and quiet Chris’s place is, while still being only 5-10 minutes away from stores, cafes, etc. Loved the location. Loved the views and the house even more. Also loved the playground in the backyard which was also clean. We especially want to thank Chris for providing various beach gear which was so so convenient. I have never written such a long review for anything in my life so hopefully this just shows how much we appreciated and enjoyed our stay at Chris’s house. Thank you so much!

Our family loved the house. There was plenty of space for everyone and the set up was perfect for our needs. We especially loved sitting on the lanai in the mornings and evenings, and falling asleep to the sound of the tree frogs. The location was a further from the ocean than we realized, but we enjoyed the lushness of the hilly terrain and would stay there again. Susan and Iris were very responsive when we reported a few minor appliance issues and it didn't impact our overall experience.

Nancy’s place is the ideal Airbnb rental. The condo has everything we needed to feel right at home. It is beautifully updated and maintained and the lanai was our favorite spot to hang out. In addition to being very responsive and welcoming, Nancy provided us with a great list of local restaurants at our request. Kona has everything you need for a relaxing vacation or as a jumping off place for other adventures on the island. We would definitely stay again.
