1 BR Apt In Waikiki with Canal & Mountain View

JamesRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Will rebook Timmy's place again when we go back to Hawaii next year. There's a lot of restaurants that are walking distance. Waikiki beach is about 10-15 mins walk. Its paid to park in the garage but theres free parking spots near the canal (if you get lucky, it gets filled up pretty fast.) There's also plenty of equipments you can use when you go to the beach so you don't need to buy/rent when you get there. The living room area has a stunning view outside and the balcony is a nice place to wind down after a hectic day. We didn't go to the 6th floor but it has the pool, gym, and convenience store. Highly recommended!

Basic Studio 🏝 1 Block To The Beach! Legally Zoned

AdamRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a great stay, walking distance to everything as described. Unit is in an older building but you can’t beat the price! Only downside was we did find the bed to be a little uncomfortable and there were a few ants in the kitchen area (would recommend not leaving any snacks by the sink), but this is expected given how close we are to the beach. We would gladly stay again for the price.

Place was great and so was the host, always quick to respond and provide you with whatever you needed. Location was very calm and easy to get to the beach and/or other common attractions. The views were very nice also, the Airbnb was just as described. Would definitely consider coming right back to this place if I were to ever return to Honolulu. Thank you!

AnnaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This was a perfect location for us, a very short walk to the beach and an easy walk to many great restaurants and food carts. When we wanted to venture out further, we were able to get a ride within minutes. We enjoyed time on the deck each morning as we drank our coffee and contemplated the day ahead. We would definitely book again if Jayden’s home is available on our next trip.

Ko Olina: Book Now! Car Available!

BrianRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Our family of 8 absolutely loved Courtney's rental. I don't think it could have been in a better location. It is with in walking distance of all the lagoons, local shops, golfing and it's a quick drive to grocery stores. The house was very clean, beds were comfortable, instructions were clear and the check in/out process was a breeze. Our only cons were there were only 2 beach towels, no spices and the trash under the sink was way too small for the 8 of us. We are seasoned Air bnbers so we did pack a few of things we knew we would need like laundry pods, paper towels and a few smaller items but coming from the East Coast we were only checking 1 bag and didn't bring any spices, beach towels or dish & dishwasher soap. Island Country Market (SAVE YOUR RECEIPTS and get those free items!), Safeway, Target and Walmart are really just a short drive to grab what was needed so it wasn't a big deal but just be prepared to need these items. We absolutely can not wait to go back. Aloha.

Waikiki Gem, Stunning Ocean View, Parking Included

CelesteRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Charlie’s place was just as pictured. The best part was mornings and evenings on the balcony. The views were fantastic. The city sounds and rooster sounds were a fun combination. We cooked everyday and found the kitchen worked out well. We had a little issue with the oven but Charlie addressed it promptly even providing a brand new temporary toaster oven which was very helpful. There’s a great Safeway not too far away. We would be happy to stay here again. It felt like home away from home.

Manoa Cottage with Diamond Head Lanai View

Rune OliverRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a great stay in this Manoa Valley home. The house was spacious, airy, and perfect for our group of four. Two bedrooms had working ACs; the one in the main living area didn’t, but opening windows/doors or using bedroom ACs worked well. Two bathrooms were a big plus! Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were provided—very convenient. The washer and dryer in the unit were amazing, and having beach toys to borrow was a fun bonus. Parking was easy and convenient, right next to the house. Hosts Eric and Miranda were friendly and quick to respond. The large couch in the living room isn’t a sleeper sofa but was fine to sleep on, with extra linens available. The only downside was the floor cleanliness—our feet got dirty fast despite the no-shoes rule. A better clean before arrival would make a big difference. Otherwise, a really comfortable, well-equipped place—we’d happily return!

Lanikai Ohana Hale: Tropical Cottage w/Pool, Lanai

MorganRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We had a great stay in Lanikai! Very walkable. Our toddler was very happy on the memory foam pull out couch. I could see it harder with older kids or another couple as the bathoom is attached to the main bedroom. Like other reviewers, we did notice mosquitos after heavy rain, but otherwise it was not an issue. The pool was much bigger than I was expecting and had a nice shallow/deep end split. We would stay again!

We had a great four month stay with Son and his wife. The location was super close to Waikiki but also quiet enough to escape the city. The bus took us to the sea within 5 minutes. Everything you need was available in the Airbnb. Son was always helpful and if we needed anything, Son helped us out. We felt very comfortable and can highly recommend staying with Son.

Modern Family Beach Villa near shops and dining

JulianaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is a fantastic townhouse for a family to stay! It is extremely close to the lagoons which we drove daily 2 mins away. We found it a little far to walk. We forgot our stroller at home and were so grateful when we arrived they had one! They have tons of beach items for the kids to use and chairs. The beds were super comfortable! The pool was fantastic to use when making dinner on the bbq. It was a great stay and would love to stay again!

* Newly Renovated * Waikiki Beachside Retreat

JoeRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Before I even arrived, I was in contact with Jimmy. He helped me decide if a car would be needed and even provided parking if I did, but the location was literally one block from Waikiki Beach! You could see even see Diamond Head from the balcony! Such a huge luxury! There was plenty of space to put our belongings for our 8 day stay, and we fully took advantage to make some home cooked meals using the equipment that was provided with the unit, but he unit was also so close to everything that Waikiki had to offer. There were great shops, convenience stores, restaurants, even food trucks in the alley right outside of the parking gate. You could see that Jimmy had a well laid out game plan for his guests, to anticipate what their need might be. For example, he had items such as beach towels, beach umbrellas, a wagon, and even boogie boards that you could take to the beach! I hope to return to Waikiki very soon, and hopefully this unit is available again when we come back!

Private 2 Bed 2 Bath 2 Lanai

VickiRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We loved staying at William's place and it felt like home especially after a busy day! Very comfortable, had everything we needed (and then some) and located in such an excellent area - close to shopping, restaurants, beach (and of course the rainbows) but away from the noise of Waikiki streets. William was very easy to deal with and responded quickly to questions. Would definitely stay there again if we got a chance to come back.

Emily was super responsive and answered any questions I came up with. Place was super clean and exactly what I was expecting and perfect for the two of us in our time Waikiki. Great Location! Short walk - Beach,Shop,Dine #704

KarenRating, 5 stars1 month ago
My husband and I were pleased that we were able to book Janet's condo again; our family was last here in 9/2022. This condo is nicely situated in Waikiki; many popular Waikiki restaurants are within a 5-15 minute walk. The beach is also a short 5-10 minute walk from the condo. Our host provided beach towels and chairs which is a nice perk. There is also a pharmacy and many ABC stores close by. We were able to see some of the fireworks on Friday as well as the fireworks on Sunday from the Honolulu Festival from the condo. At the time of booking, we weren't sure if we were going to rent a car and Janet offered a great parking spot option if we needed it. She provided very clear check in instructions and we appreciate that she was able to accommodate our early arrival due to our flight schedule. Would be happy to stay here again!

MiaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Gabriel and Shannon were so kind. Their property is absolutely gorgeous and on the best side of the island. They had breakfast for us daily that was very good (fresh fruits, meat/cheese). They also had lots of gear to borrow, that was awesome to not have to rent! Only thing to note is be careful what size of vehicle you bring as the driveway/parking spots are small. Wonderful Aloha hospitality. The room was perfect, loved the decor and was the perfect size for us. I’m going to have to buy a set of the sheets they had too because they’re so soft!! Mahalo! 🥰🌺

The Best View Studio in Waikiki

SabinaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We were first time visitors to Hawaii. I enjoyed this location as it was a little bit on the end of the really crazy busy area of Waikiki strip, especially if you’re driving a rental car! Back lane is busy and parkade down below is small as they do say use caution. I enjoyed the extras such as the laundry detergent, coffee and and tea. My only complaint is the table on the patio is a little high which was not the most comfortable for sitting outside/ getting up and down (vertically challenged). We did go on rooftop patio which was quite nice. Thank you!

Your guide to Honolulu

All About Honolulu

As Hawaii’s state capital, the largest city across the islands, and the most remote major city in the world, Honolulu has long been the most famous and popular gateway into the Hawaiian experience. With a population of nearly 1 million residents, Honolulu thrums with diversity and energy, and a lush surrounding landscape and gentle aquamarine shores frame its populous high-rise skyline.

Blessed with a beautiful and swimmable beachfront — Honolulu means "calm port" in Hawaiian — visitors will have a wealth of oceanfront activities to choose from, whether it’s snorkeling in nearby Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve or strolling across Waikiki Beach in the shadow of the city’s most luxurious resorts, or stand-up paddleboarding under the warm glow of a Oahu sunset.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Honolulu

Chances are you’ll never need anything more than a light sweater or jacket to stay warm in Honolulu, where average temperatures typically hover between 75 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Warm and dry summer weather extends from April through November. The island’s pleasant trade winds cause temperatures to fall only modestly between December and March.

Top things to do in Honolulu

Diamond Head State Monument

The hike up to the 300,000-year-old volcanic Diamond Head Crater would be arduous if the trek wasn’t so breathtakingly beautiful along the way. The reward for those tired legs is a stunning view of Honolulu and the glistening Pacific below that deserves numerous photos for posterity. Just be sure to arrive early to avoid the wave of crowds, bring cash for the walk-in entry fee, and wear a hat and bring water for the hike up.

Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve

Those hoping to escape from highly developed Waikiki Beach should make their way southeast along the East Honolulu coast. A sheltered and tranquil bay awaits, offering some of the best snorkeling on the island for beginners. Just note: Getting down to the reef requires a 10-minute descent by a steep trail, and there’s a small admission fee (those with disabilities can take a bus down for a smaller fee).

Honolulu Chinatown

If you want to immerse yourself in the scene where Honolulu locals dine, shop, and celebrate, head over to the city's Chinatown district. Many of the best new restaurants helmed by young Hawaiian talent are based in this section of Honolulu, packed with Hawaiian, Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese markets and shops. The Maunakea Marketplace food court is recommended for a snack or meal, and numerous galleries and local boutiques further flavor the neighborhood.
