Vacation rentals in Mahana Beach

Seriously paradise. It met all my desires for a beach vacation: It is right across the street from Magic sands beach - the condo is set back, so about a 4 minute walk. I think it is the only sandy beach in the area. A 3 minute drive to amazing snorkeling in a protected bay/ cove. A 10 minute drive to great shops and restaurants. You have your own parking spot. Re: the condo- Quiet, and I am a light sleeper. Chorus of birds in the trees on the property begins at dawn. They are the alarm clock I've always wanted. They get more quiet after the initial greeting of the day. The apartment has all the amenities, including good kitchen knives for cooking, pots and pans in good shape, olive oil, pls more. All the beach gear and snorkeling gear you could want. You have a partial ocean view from the lanai, it is really nice to sit out at the table and eat while gazing at the water and hills. Do be safe at this beach - big waves break right on sand - just use common sense and you will be fine.

First of all, the area was amazing!! Manini beach was literally a 2-3 minute walk down the road for great snorkeling (gear is provided, if you need it) with a path for some amazing sunsets. There are a couple of fruit stands in the neighborhood, which was great for my mother’s daily banana stroll. You can see the bay from the amazing lanai that we spent so much time on to watch the snorkelers, kayakers and dolphins. The house itself was great! Split into half, with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on either side, separated by an open concept living room and kitchen. The dining room is outside…where else would you want to sit down and eat? There were A/Cs in the bedrooms if you needed them, but the ocean breeze was usually enough for most of my party. There were lots of spices in the cabinets for cooking and some staples leftover from past renters. The long, winding and narrow roads make some great scenery, but also make your trip to anywhere else a bit long. I would definitely stay again.

Directions, and accomodations, were great, and view from the balcony was mind blowing. Superhost is an understatement.

One of the best Airbnb’s that we stayed at! Mattress was very comfortable, kitchen had everything and Justin was also kind enough to put in a window AC since the living room AC wasn’t working! Recommended!

Part of a condo group, next to (unpretentious) Beaches restaurant - which locals stated was "the best in Kona" - and only steps away from Magic Sands Beach. View out the double wide slider was to clear ocean surf, full of yellow tang and black trigger fish visible in most swells. There is no A/C but the fans (there were 5 but we really only need the two large ceiling fans) kept it very comfortable.) This was April and daytime temperatures were low 80's. All in all a very nice place hanging out or as a home base. Great location for Kona and the beaches north. About .1 mile to La'aloa St, which takes you up to Hwy 11 (bypass highway for north or south travel. I recommend for a group of 2.

The house provides a quiet, gracious retreat from the outside world and proved a lovely spot for our lowkey family celebration. Ariya and Charles were onsite and projected a sense of aloha and warmth with helpful information about the area, help when one of us scraped ourself up, all the while respecting our privacy. The view provides the wow factor and the house is casual and comfortable in all respects. There was fruit, great coffee, and treats to welcome us with a late arrival. If your are looking for an experience away from the tourist bustle but close enough to sample what is of interest to you, this property is hard to beat.

Such a relaxing stay. Even had food stocked in kitchen!

Mahalo for everything. I felt at home with Delia & Kim from the very beginning. Their loving nature and the effort they put into everything is extraordinary. I'll never forget the Big Island for several reasons, and staying with Delia and her family is definitely one of them. The location is worth its weight in gold for anyone seeking peace and quiet. Nancy’s place is the ideal Airbnb rental. The condo has everything we needed to feel right at home. It is beautifully updated and maintained and the lanai was our favorite spot to hang out. In addition to being very responsive and welcoming, Nancy provided us with a great list of local restaurants at our request. Kona has everything you need for a relaxing vacation or as a jumping off place for other adventures on the island. We would definitely stay again.
