Roanview cottage. Cosy but spacious with sea views

AliRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Fantastic stay in lovely cosy property. Stayed for 5 nights and hosted Christmas dinner for partner’s parents and sister. Everybody loved the property and its layout. Has a cosy lounge with wood burner and kitchen and bathroom are great sizes. Downstairs loo was a plus too! Great view, although was misty/wet weather when stayed so no walking achieved!

The Old Schoolhouse

AbiRating, 5 stars2 days ago
What a fabulous stay. Sadly we were only here the night passing through, but it was a lovely peaceful house and garden with comfy beds, plenty of hot water and clean well equipped kitchen. We were left the most delicious home made cookies and milk/coffee which was very appreciated as we got there late. Easy to find and let ourselves in. We would definitely stay here again!

Ansdell Hideaway

KateRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Absolute gem of a house. Mark couldn’t have been a better host. House was spotless and extremely well appointed. Ansdell is a perfect spot as it’s easily accessible to Lytham and close to Fairhaven. My family lives in Lytham and when there is a big get together we sometimes need to find extra accommodation. This has been the best one we have found so far. Thank you Mark.

Poppy Cottage

DavidRating, 5 stars2 days ago
A fantastic experience from start to finish. The cottage is set in a beautiful rural setting with lots of great walks accessible without having to drive anywhere. There is a great local pub a 5 minute walk along the lane and plenty more a short hike away. Jim and Diane were the perfect hosts - respecting your privacy whilst always being available to answer any questions. The property was wonderful and perfectly set up for my elderly mother who has mobility issues - extremely comfortable with fantastic views of the surrounding fields and hills. We will definitely make a return visit in the future and thoroughly recommend this property for a relaxing holiday. Many thanks for a wonderful Easter break.

‘The Nook’ & Hot Tub - Hebden Bridge

LizRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Fabulous little find, few mins walk for the centre. Next to a lovely park and canal which was perfect for dog walks. Loads of nice pubs close by. The famous Hare and hounds only 25 min walk where you can take in amazing scenery. The house itself was perfect and so clean. The bedding smelt amazing and it's the cleanest shower I've ever been in! Not to mention the best: We were left Prosecco and croissants which was a lovely touch. We enjoyed the hot tub and the garden was a sun trap. So enjoyable we didn't manage to go heck out one day! Chloe's communication was perfect and they were really flexible allowing us to drop the bags off earlier and find somewhere to leave the car so we could start our holiday. Will definitely return. Thanks for a perfect stay.

DURHAM

BobRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is a good place to stay for groups of 3 or 4, travelling by car and planning to visit both the city and the beautiful countryside of Durham County. We went both to both up Weardale to the foothills of the Pennines and to the coast at Seaham on our day trip. This row-house cottage is nice, comfortable with an efficient central heating system. The kitchen/dining room is well equipped. Anthony left us both cows and Oat milk, which was nice. The only downside is that the the tiled floors are cold, if you don't have thick socks or slippers/indoor shoes with thicker soles than the hotel slip-ons that the hosts provide. Also the local pub is a bit further away than we'd assumed and is under new management and no longer serving food. However, Anthony told us about two alternate pubs offering evening meals. The most impressive was The New Board Inn at Hill Top (DH7-(9RL), which has a great Sunday evening quiz.

We absolutely loved our stay at Siobhan’s apartment! Cosy, comfortable and stylish, we felt right at home soon as we arrived. The apartment is in a fantastic location in-between Windermere and Bowness, both are within walking distance which is a real bonus! Check in was a breeze and the welcome gifts were very thoughtful. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if holidaying in the area. Thank you for having us stay Siobhan.

Luxury 1 bed self-contained flat & private parking

MarkRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My fiancĂ©e, our dog and I stayed with Liz for 3 nights recently. We absolutely adored the property, it was lovely and peaceful, it has wonderful surroundings and it is very peaceful. Liz is a lovely lady, although we didn’t meet with her during our stay, she was always on hand to help us with any questions that we might have had. The property is very modern, very clean and very well equipped. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was fantastic after a day of walking in the sun. Our dog, Mabel, was very happy too. There was plenty of space for her to explore and there is plenty of great walks, such as Ingleton Falls, which isn’t a long drive away. We had no issues with the property, or Liz, and we felt incredibly welcomed. We really appreciate your hospitality and hopefully we will be able to stay with you again in the future. Thank you ever so much again.

Watersedge Lodge by 5 Rise Locks

SlavkaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We loved our stay at Watersedge Lodge, which has superb views of the valley and the nearby canal. There is a range of seating outdoors - perfect for relaxing in the evenings. The appartment was tastefully decorated and impeccably clean. The kitchen was stocked with good utensils/pans for home cooking, and we were grateful of a fridge and a freezer. What made our visit extra special was the hosts. They were quick to respond to messages and very understanding and accommodating of our needs. They are kind, considerate and supportive. We highly recommend Watersedge Lodge. It’s a perfect bolt hole for those needing a quiet retreat, or if you want to explore walks and bike rides on the nearby canal, or farther afield in the Yorkshire Dales. There are also lots of cultural and historical adventures to be had nearby in Leeds, Bradford, Saltaire, Keighley, Haworth and Skipton. Finally, as mentioned by all the guests
. The Yorkshire Tea loaf is a winner! ❀

Last minute decision to have a night away and Toms place was spot on! Perfect peaceful location, the annexe is gorgeous with everything we could need. The hot tub was dreamy even in the drizzle as the sun went down over the fields. Tom was a great host firing up the hot tub for us and recommending the fabulous Crown Inn for a great dinner! Thank you!

Berry Bottoms Cabin a hidden gem

AndrewRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a brilliant one night stay. We loved it. Took our boys and dog and everyone had a great time. It’s a stunning location and is a really great outdoor space, including the outdoor kitchen, BBQ and fire pit. Really well equipped. The hosts’ communication was spot. Shame it was only one night, still worth it though.

Thorneymire Cabin

ErinRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Idyllic spot in a lovely wooded patch of the Yorkshire Dales. Superb choice for our first trip to the area. Truly unbeatable amenities and scenic location. Felt so cozy. All the fun of camping with none of the sacrifice. Great shower (not the tiny/hardly functional bathrooms you sometimes get in shepherds huts), small but well-designed kitchen (we cooked everything from soup to risotto on the gas hob), cozy couch, and a truly divine sleeping arrangment — elevated to see the stars, warmed by the woodfire. Truly among nature — including the rare treat of seeing rare red squirrels local to the area. Didn’t see one on our week in the Lake District, but saw 3 every day that clearly live in the woodland surrounding the cabin. Like living in a pastoral fantasy for the weekend. Took a walk on public footpath to town & saw dozens of newborn lambs as we were there in height of lambing seasons. A unique experience worth every pound & we would jump at the chance to return!

Helvellyn Hideaways - The Hut

ChloeRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Nicola was a brilliant host, she knew exactly what direction to point us when we needed recommendations. Her properties location was breathtaking, especially after our 10 mile hike! It was a shame the outdoor shower has had to be removed as that would have been a stunning experience given the location, however Nicola was quick to advise and give us an alternative option to shower off the sink from our hike! The location is stunning, host was brilliant! Wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you so much!
