Me and my partner really enjoyed our time in the yurt. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The staff in the shop/ reception were excellent for local tips on what to do and where to go. I would definitely return.

Scandal Yurts @ The Black Swan, Ravenstonedale

We loved our stay, the staff were really nice and welcoming. The yurt was a great way of glamping. The pub along the road the kings head did lovely food and had a little games room out the back. We had the dog with us and there was little dog treats and stuff on arrival which was nice. It was very cosy with all the little lights. The breakfast was really nice on the morning we checked out. Thank you for a lovely stay we will definitely be back

Second time here...didn't disappoint. We had a fantastic weekend..lovely fires, BBQ, great food and friendly staff. Bed was super comfy, lots of little "bits and pieces," to make it all easier. There's plenty of walks, bike rides and lovely pubs to visit. 100% will be back for a third time next year! Well done guys and thanks! :-)

Little yurt

RhiannaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Staying in this yurt was possibly the best part of mine and my friends trip! Perfect spot after a wet and windy hike up Scafell and very close by. Super cosy with more than enough essentials. Managed to cook ourself Carbonara with the kitchen supplies provided. The bedding was super comfy and more than enough to keep warm throughout the night, topped off with hot water bottles. Log burner was easy to light with the fire starters and wood provided. Couldn't resist treating ourselves to toasted marshmallows. Sadly we didn't get to meet Clare due to everything we had planned on the day and the following day, and getting to the yurt pretty late. But going by our communication, Clare was lovely, super welcoming and very helpful. Thank you for our stay, I will definitely be back 🤍

"Wych Elm" Deluxe Yurt at Marthrown of Mabie

VictoriaRating, 5 stars16 months ago
We were very excited to stay in a yurt and weren’t disappointed. The reviews which mention the warmth inside aren’t wrong; it is very toasty. We arrived in torrential rain so it felt like we were driving to the middle of nowhere but we found it with Mike’s instructions. He was there to greet us and go through the fire and where everything is. We had 4 beds and 1 bed is pulled out from underneath a single bed - that’s not what we were expecting but it didn’t matter. They’re comfy and clean. There is a lot provided in terms of cutlery, pans and tea/coffee. Everything you need is listed by Pam once you book. We had the hot tub booked but it broke the day before we arrived with the frost. We were gutted but still got to use the sauna. I’d recommend that just to experience the cold water bucket outside. Just do it. The shower is really hot and a nice experience over looking the hills. The composting toilet is a composting toilet…get used to is. There are lots of nearby walks to explore.

Hazelnut Yurt, two miles from Loch Ken, Galloway

LeoRating, 5 stars22 months ago
This was the most wonderful Air BnB experience me and my Girlfriend has ever had. The Yurt itself was such a romantic and peaceful place to lay low for a few days. The log fire made it such a cosy space but without it you would feel like you are camping which was a nice feeling to have. All the cooking amenities were perfect and could cook some simple but tastey meals. Although I think the main thing that really made us feel so at peace was the location. Located in the middle of what felt like a perfectly crafted part of the forest with the burn running by the side. You are left alone there to enjoy the nature and its made to feel like it is yours for you time there. I couldn't reccomend staying here more. Also thank you Gordy and Suzy for allowing us in this amazing space and creating such a wonderful yurt. Will definitely be back. Leo and Lily x

Cherish Glamping Barn Owl Yurt

RebeccaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I am a girl who likes my home comforts and not a camping fan, whilst my partner is! Jo's yurts ticked every box to give us both what we needed, and Jo is just lovely. So welcoming and clearly loves what she does. Beautiful surroundings, lovely walks, clean, cosy accommodation! Top tip would be to pack some camping chairs as none are provided for outdoors but we loved the stay and would highly recommend. Local villages are beautiful with lots to see and do. We easily could have spent an extra night. Breakfast was delivered and cooked to order. Thank you for a great experience Jo! We loved it.

A cosy warm wilderness yurt

DanielRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The Tod yurt was amazing! We took our young daughter (4) and she thought it was "magical", the fairy-lights, candles, wood-burner, hot-tub, and starlight sky all added to this magical experience. The yurt is plenty big enough for a family of 3 or 4 (with small children) with different areas to sit and prepare food without feeling like you're on top of each other. Between the kitchen and the items in the yurt you have everything you need to make decent meals, even a cafetiere for those coffee lovers. If you want a relaxing off-grid experience (with on-grid amenities a couple of mins walk) I couldn't recommend this enough.

Cherish Glamping Lapwing Yurt

Beth SyonaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had the most incredible stay at Jo’s gorgeous yurts. Every detail had been thought of from providing homemade locally sourced breakfasts everyday to the fancy Nespresso machine and milk frother for fresh coffees! The yurts were furnished with fabulous pieces, for which the photos do not do this place justice. It feels very comfortable and luxurious inside, and the log fire quickly warms the place up and keeps it warm overnight. The location is stunning, with beautiful views over the hills and no light pollution for excellent stargazing. Our favourite part was the outdoor hot tub which was preheated for our arrival (not typical of other places we’ve stayed) and was super easy to keep warm. It was very cosy and comfortable. Jo clearly has a huge passion for what she does and we cannot speak highly enough of her hospitality. The food is some of the nicest we’ve had and the variety is exceptional. Wishing Jo all the best for the future - we will be back!

Traditional Mountain Yurt

RobbieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The view from the Yurt down to the lake with the woods and hillside farms across the valley was exactly what we came here for. Beautiful and quiet. The yurt itself sits on a private farm with access out the front door to walk and explore to your hearts content. We are fond of Buttermere lake and the Bridge Inn pub for great food so we went there twice from the yurt which isn't far at all. There are plenty of places inbetween to park the car and follow the trails. I enjoy visiting around this part of the lakes because it's away from tourists and you regularly can find yourself all by yourself absorbed by the tranquil nature around you. We were fortunate enough to meet George who is very kind and friendly. It was a pleasure to learn more about his farm and life in the lakes even if it made me rather jealous. Thanks George and see you again soon!
