Comfortable home in beautiful surroundings. Really responsive and friendly host. En-suite bathrooms to each bedroom and the beds were super comfy. Great parking and charger for electric car - lovely walks nearby along the river and the horse in the field behind had just given birth to a foal so our daughter was mesmerised. Oh I forgot the hot tub - that was great too!

We really enjoyed our stay at this airbnb. The surroundings and building itself are beautiful. We fell in love with the very friendly cat who visited us many times. The balcony and garden are gorgeous and we got incredibly lucky with the weather. It maybe wasn’t as private as the listing suggests but it wasn’t much of an issue for us. The hosts were incredibly helpful to bring us plenty of bottled water while the water mains in the area were having some problems. We had a fantastic stay here.

We had a fantastic time at The Stables celebrating our rescue greyhound’s fifth birthday - she got to run around happily in the enclosed garden whilst we enjoyed our complimentary Prosecco in the hot tub!Secluded location, relaxing and everything you could need thought of by Paul & Fiona. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home, very spacious and plenty of amenities. felt right at home! perfect for toddlers too. Ian was great, very helpful and easily contactable.

The cottage was beautiful. It was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. It was lovely that Nicola had catered for our dog also. The area is beautiful located near enough to other villages and towns if driving. The hot tub was amazing. Overall we loved our stay and would recommend it to others. Thankyou for making our stay so lovely.

What a wonderful spot and cottage to fully unwind for a couple of days. The cottage is set in the most peaceful and beautiful of settings, with easy access to the lake and beach area. The cottage was quirky, quaint and eclectic and we all felt at home and relaxed as soon as we stepped in. The added extra touches from Mark and Ruth were lovely and we felt really welcomed to their space. The cottage has everything you need and it made for a peaceful and relaxing few days to relax and recharge. Thanks again for letting us stay.

We had a lovely stay at Punchbowl Cottage in Grayrigg. The house was cosy, spotless, and perfect for our family. We've travelled around England a bit, and this was probably the best accommodation we've stayed in so far. It's also a great base for exploring the Lake District – peaceful and beautifully located. And I must say... I completely fell in love with the hand cream from The Bath House! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality Kirsty!

We have had a fantastic stay at Sue’s place. The cottage was so homely and spacious. Great Asby itself is such a quiet and peaceful location and is perfectly situated to get out to the lakes, via car, or the dales for a good walk. The local pub was superb for food and drinks and all locals were super friendly. Sue and Fitz were such friendly and attentive hosts who also left some lovely and much appreciated treats in the cottage for us to enjoy on our arrival. We would love to come back. Thanks again for a brilliant stay. 😊🤩

Had the best weekend here with my partner and two dogs. Secure garden, which was really reassuring to be able to just let the dogs roam. Beautiful private setting half way down the valley. Jonathan and Claire were both really responsive which was really helpful. Will definitely be coming back! :)

We absolutely 💯 loved our short stay at Nursery end cottage. It was perfect. Warm, comfortable & cosy. It had everything you could think of. We were welcomed with a lovely welcome pack & thankyou card. The cottage is in a beautiful, peaceful area surrounded by sheep and hills. We chose to stay here as it wasn't far from Scafell pike. I would recommend to anyone to stay in this cottage and would definitely book it again. It's just beautiful. We only wish we could of stayed longer.

We had an amazing stay. The cottage is right by the beach. Very comfortable, fully equipped. Great shower and beds really comfy. We brought out 2 cairns who loved the direct access to the beach out of the back door. Small enclosed back yard with outside tap to clean sandy paws. It was my birthday and the host also left a birthday card, flowers and homemade cake. We loved the place and will be coming back.

We absolutely loved our three nights at Jonnty’s place! The place itself is a lovely, spacious barn conversion that is warm, very comfortable and relaxing. The kitchen with range cooker is fab and the living / dining room is huge and has a comfy sofa and big TV. The bedroom is also roomy and has a world class bed that’s perfect after a hard day on the fells. Jonnty, meanwhile, is a great host - knowledgable on the local area, friendly and when my car needed repairing he rang his neighbour who got it fixed the next day, no problems. Overall, this is a superb place with a great host - we couldn’t have asked for more and will be back. Thanks Jonnty!

We stayed at the cottage for just under a week and it was brilliant. the cottage itself exceeded expectations, was much more roomy than we'd pictured it, but also very cosy and private. Helen and John were lovely and met us on the first day and left us lots of little extras like a bottle of prosecco on ice and biscuits for our dog. the local area is amazing with great walks and lots of activities to do. elEverywhere is also very dog friendly. We had an amazing week and were so sad to leave. We're already planning our next visit!

The cottage was exactly what was listed and what we were looking for. The Host was always responsive and friendly with many helpful details. The cottage is cosy and in beautiful surroundings with friendly neighbours. It also is well equipped for short or long stays. We will definitely recommend and hopefully come back soon! Thank you

Beautiful, clean, cozy and homely cottage in a great location for exploring the surrounding area. Debbie and Duncan are great hosts. Was a lovely touch been greeted with a bottle of wine, fresh eggs and homemade rhubarb jam and fresh flowers. Perfect.

Loved loved loved this stay!! It was so gorgeous and decorated so nicely. The place felt light and airy yet cost in the evenings. The heating was easy to work and the place warmed up very quickly even without the fire which is essential for my girlfriend because she’s always cold. The bed was super comfy and clean, and the robes were a really nice touch. Jennifer as a host was super friendly and responsive! We felt right at home as soon as we arrived. The location was perfect and it was easy to walk to Cartmel village through the fields which cut out walking on the country roads (though they were generally not busy anyway!). Cartmel is a lovely place with nice cafes, pubs and some very fancy restaurants. Overall it was a very special stay for our anniversary - made even more special by the bubbly left for us when we arrived. We would recommend anyone looking for a quite and relaxing few days. We had a lovely stay at the Bothy, it’s a wonderful place! Charming and comfortable, the spacious living room and kitchen have everything you could need and the bedroom is really comfy and cozy. The perfect secluded country escape and a short drive to Windermere. The local pub was a great spot for a beer in the sun and Max the dog loved running around the massive field that Rebecca directed us to. Thanks so much for having us, highly recommended! X

Used as a stop off before tackling the National 3 peaks. Did a great job, everyone able to get a good rest and thought the place was great value for money.

Perfect for walkers and dogs. Rustic and peaceful with cracking views. Sitting outside, listening to birds, was just what we needed.

A beautiful cottage in the most stunning and well kept grounds. The chickens absolutely added value to the experience, especially the little brown one who we named Wilmer for our stay! She was the perfect little neighbour, cute, cheeky and friendly. The lake, boat and kayaks were gorgeous. Cottage stunning, found the smell of ‘dog’ noticeable when I went in which sparked some allergies but luckily, not upstairs so didn’t impact sleep. It clearly said dogs welcome downstairs so something I should have thought about in advance. The library and reading area overlooking gardens and lake was so peaceful and cottage really does optimise the space. Kitchen very well thought out with good facilities and loved the fresh eggs and white roses left, a really thoughtful and lovely gesture. Gorgeous place, privacy respected and clearly a much loved cottage. Thank you.

I can’t recommend this cottage highly enough—10/10! The location is very good: you’re just a short drive from charming farms, sweeping fells and the shores of the northern lake. Inside, the cottage feels wonderfully spacious, with plenty to keep you entertained—board games, a guitar for your favourite tunes, and books perfect for reading. Jenny was an absolute delight as our host, greeting us warmly at check-in. A truly perfect holiday retreat!
