Tiny house vacation rentals in Cumbria

The pictures are what sold me on this place but the other reviews are right when they say the pictures don't do it justice! The place is amazing in a lovely quiet, secluded area, right next to a river but, at the same time, it's within walking distance of anything you need. It's the perfect place for a quiet vacation away from everything or a hub to experience a lovely little city and surrounding area. On top of all that, Daria was on point with her local recommendations, and her helpful instructions to find the place as well as the few necessities she left for us made the whole experience the best it could have been. Can't recommend this place enough.

Clean, convenient and compact. The accommodation was well equipped and well presented. It’s a compact and efficient space located within walking distance of Ilkley. Ilkley is a lovely Yorkshire town with great cafes, shops and restaurants. There is good walking from the accommodation and the Dales is a short drive away.

My kids and I had an amazing two nights stay, Andrew went over and above to make us feel comfortable. Highly recommend Jesse's hut

A peaceful countryside escape! The cabin was cozy, clean, and surrounded by nature. We spotted and fed wild deer and other local wildlife right from the porch. A perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Cumbria. Highly recommend!

2nd visit just a lovely little private pod Gillian is lovely always on hand we will be back again sometime ❤️

This little house is so cosy with the wood burner and everything you need for a getaway in the country. Watch the kestrels hunt through the window and make friends with the goats and chickens. Wonderful little brook and woods to explore and a wee paddle around the lake as dear ran past was such a treat. This is on a farm and not a palace but if you want a private getaway on a farm with access to beautiful countryside - this does the job perfectly. This is a great place to stay. Although located pretty close to the farm house, the place felt very private and remote. There’s not much else around and even being outside of the hut you’re just overlooking the farms fields. The hot tub is around the side of the hut and surrounded on 3 sides with the other overlooking the farm so nice and enclosed. When we stayed the field was filled with cows so the views were even better. Inside is lovely with everything you’d need ready and available. The little gifts upon check in were a lovely touch and very appreciated. If I’m ever in the area again I will be trying to book some time here

Had such a lovely stay. The hot tub was such a nice touch. Once it gets going it’s really hot! I must say the bed was really a dream to sleep in. I text Julia a few times and she responded very quickly. Would highly recommend for a lovely night away ☺️

Had a gorgeous stay at the garden rooms. The hut is immaculately done out, with lots of thoughtful little touches that really add to the experience. The setting is super peaceful and private, so it is the perfect quiet escape. All info from the hosts was clear and Sarah was very helpful and responsive. Can’t wait to return! Thank you.

Staying at The Hobbit Hub was an absolutely amazing and dreamy experience! From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a fairytale. Every little detail was so thoughtfully designed — cozy, magical, and full of character. It truly felt like a hidden escape from the world. The atmosphere was peaceful, the surroundings were beautiful, and the space itself was spotless and comfortable. We loved every second of our stay and didn’t want to leave! Thank you for creating such a unique and memorable experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Nicola was a brilliant host, she knew exactly what direction to point us when we needed recommendations. Her properties location was breathtaking, especially after our 10 mile hike! It was a shame the outdoor shower has had to be removed as that would have been a stunning experience given the location, however Nicola was quick to advise and give us an alternative option to shower off the sink from our hike! The location is stunning, host was brilliant! Wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you so much!

Lovely little place to hide away to focus on work. Plenty of places to go for walks around with the Chevin and Ilkley Moor both near by. Plenty of options for eating places too. The welcome basket was much appreciated. Doggy hellos were super cute too. Thanks Alyson.

Amazing stay with my new Fiancè. Thankyou to Sarah and Rob for the hospitality, everything was as described and honestly couldn’t knock it. Great local pub called the tower bank arms literally over the road. Thanks again for making our stay perfect

Anabell was an amazing host from top to bottom. Looked after us the whole way through and even came and brought us her own Stanley Flask with hot water as the kettle wasn't working! Couldn't recommend this place enough, thankyou!

We really enjoyed our night away in our cosy little shepherds hut. The surroundings were stunning and our hut was absolutely spotless. It was in a great location. We enjoyed a lovely meal in a local pub only 10 minutes drive away. The hot tub was definitely worth the extra £50. It was lovely and hot as we kept adding the logs on the fire. It was a lovely relaxing experience and amanda was a great host. Very helpful and recommended places to eat nearby. We just wish we booked an extra night. We will be returning in the future. The instructions were ideal. We found the place with ease. Amazing little place. Very clean. Instructions for everything. Bed was very comfortable. Lovely touches of hot Chocolate and shower gel. I thought the price was ideal. I really hope I get the chance to go back x

Beautiful stay, super relaxing. Took us a long time to get the hot tub hot, ended up using both bags on the first night and then bought 1 for the second. One wasn't enough to get it hot enough to sit out though on the second night. Didn't spoil things at all. Gorgeous spot and super starry, cosy little hut ❤️ it doesn't say on the listing but there's 2 towels in the bathroom for use.

Really lovely place! The views are stunning and I loved the cosy wee hut. We will definitely visit again. Great to stay somewhere where dogs are truly welcome too!

Second time visiting this lovely shepherds hut, got back last time and rebooked straight away as it was the perfect weekend away with the dogs. There are loads of walks from Newcastleton to get out for the day - not that the dogs could be bothered after running in the field all morning🤣Any questions were responded to within minutes and grace was really helpful when we couldn’t work the shower. Will definitely be back, thank you so much x
