We had a fantastic stay at the cabin whilst on a weekend getaway. Stella kindly left clear instructions of how to get to the cabin, left a heater on for us so we were cosy from the get go on the arrival which was fantastic after a cold windy February day exploring the local sites! The cabin was extremely comfortable and cosy, we loved the privacy and were able to ‘switch off’ from our busy daily lives - a perfect break which allowed us to relax and enjoy ourselves. The cabin was also in great proximity to a variety of locations - we managed to explore Carlisle, Hadrian’s Wall and the Gretna Green outlet whilst staying at Stella’s cabin. Thank you Stella and would highly recommend our stay to others!

Really lovely spot. I went with my two kids and the space was great. We built a fire and kicked a ball about. Because we are guests we could play in the playground till late which was great! Will be back for another small getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ben's Hut! We loved the accommodation; it was cosy, comfortable and completely unique - and the landscape and views were wonderful. A really memorable stay!

The best hut/hide away I’ve ever stayed in. Perfect location,great hosts. Hot tub,ice bath,out door bath,wood fire sauna > a great touch too the place. Peaceful,relaxing & will be visiting atleast once a month going forward. Look forward too our next visit!!

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner who was lambing. We were shown lambs that were 15 minutes old! Very friendly owners who are clearly passionate about what they do. The shepherds hut was very clean throughout and very cosy with the underfloor heating. The little personal touches throughout really made the place feel homely. We walked into town which didn't take long and found a great selection of pubs and food available, as advertised. Attached to the side of the hut their was a little sheltered area with the wood burning stove and BBQ. Even in a cold wind, this area was toasty with the burner on. Even if the weather turned, you'd be fine having a BBQ outside here. All in all, a brilliant little place that we will be returning to

We spent the Easter weekend in the shepherd's huts at this beautiful farm, and it was absolutely perfect. The hut was spotless and thoughtfully designed, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I especially appreciated the privacy – it felt like our own peaceful little escape in nature. The owners have clearly put so much love and care into creating this place, and it really shows. The surroundings were stunning, and every detail was just right. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway – highly recommended!

We had the most gorgeous stay at the hut! From the moment we arrived Victoria was a wonderful and friendly host, she shows us to the accommodation and made sure that we felt settled and happy! The hut was so cosy but bigger than we expected, and very spacious! It was clean and pristine from top to bottom and the bed was super duper comfy! We really appreciated the snacks, drinks and treats left for us to enjoy! The hut felt very private and the gardens that it’s located in were beautiful. It’s a short walk to town and we adored our stay here, and will definitely be returning! Thank you so much Victoria 🥰

We had the most incredible stay at Ali’s shepherd’s hut. It was so peaceful and had everything we needed. We were kindly shown around the farm and seeing all the newborn lambs made it feel extra special. Thank you for such a magical experience, we can’t wait to come back!

Lovely place to stay for me and the dogs. Enclosed garden was ideal for them.

We just had the best weekend! The place is so canny! A little adventure! The surrounding are beautiful! We got to watch the sun set over the hills and with a gorgeous view of the stars on the night! And the the shepherds was just good fun! 🥰🥰🥰 colin was such a lovely host, was quick to reply to my messages! We will be definitely by coming back! Absolutely loved it! Xxx

Had a gorgeous stay at the garden rooms. The hut is immaculately done out, with lots of thoughtful little touches that really add to the experience. The setting is super peaceful and private, so it is the perfect quiet escape. All info from the hosts was clear and Sarah was very helpful and responsive. Can’t wait to return! Thank you.

Fantastic one night stay at the Shepherds Hut. Ashley was a great host and was very friendly and responsive with any questions we had beforehand. We had a lovely walk to the local pub with very clear directions from Ashley. The hut itself was really nice inside and out, spotlessly clean with top of the range facilities.

We had the best time, I even proposed to my partner at the top of criffell (she said yes!) and was so happy to have booked this place to celebrate such a special occasion. The sauna in particular is brilliant! Thanks Daniel!

We had such a wonderful time during our stay in the shepherd’s hut—it honestly exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed and welcomed. We loved the little touches, like the hamper, the Easter decorations and the wood fired hot tub. The outdoor area was just as lovely—perfect for sitting with a cup of coffee in the morning or stargazing at night. It felt like our own private piece of countryside. It’s clear a lot of care and love has gone into creating this peaceful getaway, and it really shows. We left feeling refreshed, recharged, and already talking about when we can come back. An absolute gem of an Airbnb. We loved our stay here. Felicity is a great host, very responsive and friendly. There were so many personal touches: Easter treats and some beautiful fresh flowers. Would definitely recommend the Shepard's hut. Thank you!

Alice and Paul were so helpful and kind , we had beautiful fresh eggs and other goodies when we arrived , the shepards hut is private and sits right next to a beautiful forrest and river , peaceful and cosy , we had the burner on and it held the heat all night and into the morning , super clean and modern , we heard vixen , owls, deer and lots of wildlife , we had snow too ! Alice was warm and welcoming and her place is stunning, highly recommend! We are booked in for further visits , we cant wait to be there again soaking in the different seasons , we felt very looked after, the bed is sooo comfortable too , thankyou to our amazing hosts xxxxxx

Very peaceful and quiet location to get away from the busy city life. Helpful book of local area, walk ideas and places to visit. Very responsive but also left us alone to enjoy the peaceful environment.

We absolutely loved our stay in the beautiful Sheppard’s hut. Would have happily moved in permanently! Such a peaceful location in close proximity to Windermere. The owners have clearly thought about everything guests need which was appreciated. I would highly recommend staying here.
