‘Le Barn’, in the grounds of Chateau Belebat, is a charming accommodation which is beautifully and tastefully presented by the engaging hosts Jeff and Oscar. It is a peaceful, rural location, ideal as a base from which to explore this area of the Loire by car. For those on 2 wheels, it is worth mentioning the cycle path close by which connects to the local village with the all important Boulanger just 2km away from Le Barn. The nearby town of Richelieu is worth a visit and there are numerous other attractions in the locality. We picnicked by the river, tasted and bought wine in various Chateaux, explored Saumur, Chinon, Amboise, and several smaller villages, discovered charming restaurants, explored local markets and toured some of beautiful Chateaux gardens. Overall a wonderful spot although the little seating area outside Le Barn is not particularly private or comfortable if one wanted to chill/sleep/read a book in complete peace for an hour or two after a hard day sightseeing.

Francois was really helpful, for example letting us in early to leave our bikes and bags. A lovely apartment with lots of nice touches, and a really well stocked kitchen, he'd also left us a couple of freshly cooked biscuits on arrival. Francois runs the L'Alchemiste restaurant next door, which was a fantastic place to eat in, lovely food and a real neighbourhood feel, 5 minutes walk from the town centre

Eric and Céline have a beautiful house. They thought about everything. They gave us a warm welcome with beautiful roses in a vase. There is a nice secluded garden upstairs for having breakfast or dinner. We enjoyed very much our stay, it is so quiet there, the house so full of taste. Saumur is nearby and a nice city. We strongly recommend this house.

The Blandiniere was perfect for our green weekend. In a very quiet environment. The accommodation is charming and has everything you need, even a very good internet connection. Impeccable bedding, modern bathroom. Florence and François were flexible about the check-in time and provided us with a lot of information about nearby activities. Bikes are available at a reasonable price. François loves his region and there is plenty to see, nature and culture are at the rendezvous. We'll keep the address handy for a future stay.

Quiet dispite the very central location

Sarah’s apartment was the perfect quick little stopover whilst we’re on our roadtrip. The apartment is very tastefully furnished, uber well equipped and in a gorgeous walkable location. The apartment was very clean and the bed was also comfortable! Water pressure in the shower was great too. I wouldn’t recommend bringing a large suitcase as the building is very old and has narrow doors and stairs (the apartment is on the 2nd floor). Sarah was also a very friendly host; offering recommendations of restaurants and boulangeries that were great. All in all, a great value stop in a gorgeous little town, I couldn’t recommend it more! We had a wonderful three weeks in this historic apartment right near the hub of Saumur. Walking to all the sites, restaurants, and amenities was very easy. Parking really was no problem either. The apartment is overall fantastic. Beautifully decorated and reasonably well-equipped. Our only suggestions would be to provide a larger (and softer) bed in the master. We are small humans( 5’2” and 5’10”), and even my feet dangled off the edge of the bed. We felt like the mattress was really hard too. We got used to it, but a nicer bed would be appreciated by future guests. As there has been a lot of attention to detail in creating this space, for longer stays, I would add more glassware (champagne flutes, in particular), storage containers, scissors, more mugs and flatware. Lastly, better lamps in the rooms for reading at night would be super. We would stay here again, no doubt. And we loved our time in Saumur. Thank you for sharing your amazing place with us!

We felt very comfortable in the apartment. It was very lovingly decorated, had high-quality kitchen appliances, very comfortable mattresses and was very large. The only small negative point: Unfortunately, there was no direct access for us (AirBnB) from the garage via the courtyard into the house. You had to walk around the block. But overall highly recommended!!

Very good quiet apartment close to the city center and the exhibition center.

We have stayed in many Airbnb‘s in Europe, in Asia and in North America. I would say that this is one of the best we have ever stayed in. The Good: - The size of the apartment is quite significant, especially for two people. - It is very generously stocked with everything we needed, included most importantly, coffee. - The bed was extremely comfortable. - It was extremely clean, particularly the kitchen and bathroom - The apartment itself is classically French in style. - The neighbourhood is very quiet. - The apartment is situated very near everything you would want to see and do - Joelle is clearly an experienced and dedicated Airbnb host. She was professional throughout and communicated quickly. She generously allowed us to arrive earlier than expected. - There was ample space to store our two bicycles securely The Not So Good - It is rare to write this, but we cannot think of anything negative to say about this Airbnb.

Saumur is a super town to visit, and this apartment is a great base, very central to the restaurants and shops, and a short walk up to the castle and other sights, It’s a nice flat as well and a on a quiet road. Anaïs, Joëlle and Pierre were very helpful.

Everything was absolutely perfect! The small touches were particularly appreciated, testifying to the great generosity and sincere hospitality of Céline and Freddy. You immediately feel their kindness and sense of hospitality, which made us feel right at home. The apartment, tastefully decorated, offers a warm and elegant atmosphere. An unforgettable experience – we will come back without hesitation!

Excellent stay at François's, accommodation both impeccably clean and functional. Quiet neighborhood, easy and secure parking with private parking space. Really nothing to repeat. We had a great time at Jérémie's. The apartment is located very close to the Jardin des Plantes so not far from the city center. It's a quiet area - no noise during the nights, even with windows open. Very comfortable, and highly recommended!
