Wonderful place to stay in Pienza. Gorgeous little town in the rolling hills of Tuscany. Host is fantastic too. We had an issue with the front door that they were very quick to fix for us. Would highly recommend if you are going thru Tuscany!

If you’re deciding between this place and somewhere else (due to price, location, etc.), I’ll make it easy for you, stay here, because no where else will match the level of beauty, hospitality and serenity that you’ll find here. I’ve stayed in many Airbnbs and this is quite possibly my favorite of them all. Between the beautiful grounds (working winery), the majestic background, the amenities (pool and heated soaking pool), and the world class host you will not find a more perfect stay while in Tuscany. We loved it so much that my spouse and I bought a bottle of their privately produced wine to have something to always remember. Thank you Alex for the memorable stay :)

The apartment is in the historic center of Monticchiello, a small and quiet village, a great base for going around the Val d 'Orcia. We found the apartment tidy, clean and equipped and equipped with every comfort to spend a pleasant weekend in Val d 'Orcia. The host was welcoming, helpful and kind and communication was always quick and easy. I recommend staying at this apartment!

Johanna’s delightful listing is in part of the family’s historically significant home. Inside, the apartment is filled with books and interesting art of all kinds. The bed is comfortable. The kitchen is small, but I cooked some nice meals. The outdoor space is amazing. We loved having our coffee in the morning in the garden, and our wine in the evening overlooking the harbor. We loved the winding walk into town and back, and there is a nice grocery store very nearby. Johanna and her daughter Giulia were very kind and responsive when the WiFi stopped working. They did everything they could to fix the issue and it was fine for the rest of our stay. They also left us a lovely bottle of wine and we even got a ride from Johanna to and from the bus stop upon arrival and departure. We felt we were truly “guests” of the family. Be sure and ask about the history of the home if you get a chance. Enjoy your stay!

Carlotta was always available for every little thing, the accommodation is very comfortable, 3 steps from the sea and all amenities.

I went to Val d'Orcia by car, and google maps took me right into Daniela's place no problem. Upon arrival, we were cheerfully greeted by their two friendly dogs, that barked our arrival to a friendly and receptive older lady who showed us where to park the car and proceeded to show us our place. The place is on the ground floor of the property and has no direct connection with the rest of the house where the hosts live. It has a bedroom, a bathroom and an open space style kitchen-living room. It is just a five-minutes drive to the historic centre of San Quirico d'Orcia, where you will find a market (Coop) and other places to eat. Bear in mind that these places close during the afternoon. It is extremely straightforward to go to Pienza and Montepulciano from there by car. The location is beautiful and fairly easy to access by car. There are some narrow roads leading to the property but nothing to worry about. Overall the stay was excellent and I would recommend Il Colombaio.

Beautiful place to stay, very clean and welcoming. It was perfect for us! Peaceful and quiet. Host greeted us warmly and was available throughout the stay. Peaceful nice sleep. We will be back!

The views are beautiful. Peaceful neighborhood. However, the kitchen is missing several items for cooking.

We stayed a few days from Cecilia, but it was enough to regenerate ourselves... the famous contact with nature was missing for a long time, the fragrant plants, the outside with American vines saved us from the very high temperatures of these July days and so much did the farmhouse in the tuff, always fresh inside... the hospitality was also completed by the inhabitants of the small village of San Valentino, thank you and I hope to be able to come back one day

An atypical, artistic and unique apartment, a beautiful place in an exceptional village. You can park a few hundred yards away and it's better not to be too busy or a little sporty. Maybe we would have enjoyed it even more on sunny days but Caleb really did everything to make sure everything went smoothly. He is a really thoughtful and very responsive host who will do everything to make your stay perfect. He alone deserves the best recommendations. The village cats are really adorable!

Beautiful accommodation, responsive host, very attentive and helpful, responds very quickly if needed. Quiet, peaceful environment, far from Porto Santo Stefano but compensated by a paradisiacal view. The very big assets are the solarium, the spectacular view from the terrace, the private beach 1km away. Despite our 2 hours late to arrival, we were very well received by Marco and his wife. They also agreed to come early when we left for organizational matters. We recommend 100% and will be back.

We had a very good time, very convenient and central location, wonderful view from the terrace, possibility to pay for parking at the same rate as residents, i.e. €2 per day. Ale was always very helpful and kind in everything we needed... highly recommended...

The house is spacious, clean and very well maintained, with all the comforts you need. 5 minutes by car from the waterfront and the area of the main bars/restaurants and attractions of Porto Santo Stefano. The owner, Simona, is always very helpful and available for any need.

Wonderful stay at Matteo’s apartment. The view is beautiful, lots of evenings spent sat drinking wine on the balcony! It’s peaceful, easy to walk into town, basic facilities like coffee, ability to cook, clean bathroom, AC, comfy bed. We liked the stripped back basic feel, with good company, a view, wine and local fish from the market cooked at home we highly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend thank you Matteo!

We spent a beautiful week in the beautiful apartment of Rosà, the perfect host responded quickly and attentively. The panoramic view of the apartment takes your breath away... everything is perfectly clean, elegant furnishings and attention to the small things. You feel at home. Parking near the house is convenient to use. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back.
