Fun beautiful atmosphere and really friendly folks

It was perfect for my needs with my dog. Very close to my relatives home, and a nice place to enjoy the evening after my days activities.

Stayed with the family for a weekend and was amazing! beautiful property, lots to do outside, kayaking on pond was awesome, breakfast was delicious. Ana was super responsive to questions. My kids and I totally want to return!

We had a great time tucking away from our days in the city at Philip's yurt! The garden was beautiful and the pets were super friendly when around. The yurt was in an easy-to-access location and had everything we needed for our short stay. The extra lighting on the paths to the bathroom was much appreciated as well.

Stayed in one of the Yurt campsites at the Desolation Hotel. Very cozy atmosphere and stunning views. We brought two large dogs with us and it was very easy to sleep everyone in the Yurt. Our Yurt did not have a shower or bathroom inside of it (some on site do), but there was a bathhouse in walking distance with hot showers. Lots of places to walk the dogs with river access for them to play. We also drove to Caples Lake for the day which was only 15 min down the road. Two different restaurants to choose from at the Desolation Hotel… We did not get a chance to try the Bar/grill, but we did eat at the Sorensen’s Cafe. Very pricy, but food and drinks were very good! Overall would recommend staying here and we will be coming back again.

A gorgeous place! Very peaceful and relaxing. The outdoor shower was sufficiently hot and the jacuzzi was just what I needed after a long day of driving. The land I absolutely stunning, as are the yurts and other structures. I very much appreciated the eco-friendly accommodations and expectations for care, such as trying to limit chemicals to plant-friendly options. Will def be back!

It was a very whimsical place with plenty of new nature spots to walk to. If you are a camper, then I would recommend glamping here.

Great location only about an hour from Donner Pass ski areas. Hot tub and sauna were great after a day of skiing. Yurt is spacious and comfortable - even with two kiddos. Would recommend!

Serene and beautiful. Tree house was amazing. Great way to disconnect from the hustle and connect at a deeper level with nature. The kitchen and amenities inside the yurt were as good as a typical home with running hot water. Highly recommend.

This was such a cute spot. My spouse and I were hustling grabbing a few hours of sleep here during our travels but would have loved to stay several days. Super cute spot for couples and so very peaceful listening to the water run down the creek.

had another incredible visit to Megan’s place! Rustic and peaceful. loved listening to the birds (18 new birds on my Merlin app this trip- big dork). Didn’t use the hot tub this time but would have loved it. Location is great and hosts are lovely.

This is my favorite Airbnb so far! I’d love to come back in the Summer. So grateful the doggie could run free and safe on the property. Thank you a million times over for sharing your beautiful place on the river!

Great stay. Best to be aware of it's unique charm. A nice basic yurt in a campground with shared bathroom facilities. The location is great being near Sequoia/Kings Cyn NP. The location is also great if you are a hang glider/para sailor and using the on-site landing area. The yurts are the "luxury" of the campground. There where no RV's running their generators - but you will be sharing toilet/bathing facilities with rest of the campground - so some clutter & messiness is inherent in this arrangement. Like all campgrounds, there may be the guests that stay up later then you around the campfire and there will be young families camping with up-at-the-crack-of-dawn youngsters. The vibe of the place is great if you are good with this kind of vibe. There's a small zip line on site - great fun - but you will need to oversee it's safe use. Spencer is very friendly, very hands on in managing his property and easy to communicate with. He took the care to lend us some trail guides. 👍

Awesome stay. We were intrigued by the Yurt concept and thought we'd give it a go. Wow, we were surprised how cozy and comfortable it was. Love having a live fire in the fireplace and it warmed the place very rapidly. Once the fire died the temp was ideal for sleeping. A bit chilly in the AM, but a rejuvenated fire solved that immediately. Super private location with a gate a winding, scenic driveway with lots of space to park vehicles and two trucks pulling bass boats. We will stay here again, for sure. Great job Judith!

I cannot find the words to express how much we truly enjoyed our time at Veronika’s place. It more peaceful than we expected, and the pictures simply do not do it justice. Veronika was an amazing host who went above and beyond to make us feel right at home during our stay. My husband and I had an amazing stay, and we will definitely recommend Veronika’s place to family and friends and will return for future visits.

We had a great stay at Tracy's place. We loved spending time on the deck and grilling. The location was nice and we were able to get to a river in about 15 minutes.
