Vacation rentals with a patio in Lucca

The place has the most gorgeous views and it is absolutely quiet - except for bird song. Perfect for relaxation. I went swimming in the pool every morning. We were able to explore Northern Tuscany, using La Lavanda as a base. One just has to be prepared for a pretty scary drive up and down the mountain. But one gets used to it. Sabrina welcomed us and was really, really helpful. Highly recommended.

Tammy and Eme were wonderful hosts. My wife and I booked for quite a long stay as part of a sabbatical in Italy. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Casa al Poggio is in a quiet location, surrounded by spectacular countryside, between two small towns, each charming in its own way, and with easy access to both Florence and Siena. Tammy and Eme offered great recommendations regarding places to explore in the local area and a host of tips that helped us get the most out of our stay. We absolutely intend to return and stay with them again.

We throughout enjoyed our stay at Hamza’s place. The flat overall is even nicer than the pictures show. It is super spacious, pristine clean, newly renovated, so it seems at least. And it had 2 double bedrooms that came as a surprise to us. The master bedroom has huge wardrobes a large mirror as well and a queen size bed that has a very firm mattress that took some getting used to, but turned out very comfortable. The kitchen could use a few more utensils if you are planning for a big cooking but perfectly well equipped for the basics. The living are was superb with a giant smart TV and very comfy sofa. We travelled around with a car so location was perfect. Parking right at the front door, 25 minutes from Pisa airport , and Pisa, one hour to Cinque Terre and one hour to Florence. Couldn’t ask for a better location for exploring the area. Hamza was the fastest responding host I’ve so far stayed with. Very easy to communicate and super helpful and polite. I fully recommend!

Our stay with Miriam was absolutely wonderful! Right from the start, the personal welcome made a big difference – Miriam was always available and greeted us in person, which was such a nice and rare touch these days. The apartment is beautifully and lovingly decorated, with so much attention to detail. We were especially impressed to find a thoughtful selection of basics already in the fridge – something you don’t see often! We felt completely at home – it honestly felt just like our own place. Without a doubt, this was the best Airbnb experience we’ve had in over 10 years! Thank you so much, Miriam – we’d love to come back!

WE had a delightful stay in the most beautiful surroundings. This place was on amazing grounds and it was just perfect for us as we love the country side. We were welcomed by the owners father Sandro and he was quite friendly and engaging …explaining everything we needed to know. Although we did not have an opportunity to meet Marie and Lorenzo, Marie was quite helpful before our trip and quickly answered all my MANY questions. The apartment was well appointed and so cute. A lovely welcome basket was there upon our arrival. Everything was really perfect in this quaint community that is very close to Lucca and Pisa if you want to take a side trip. We enjoyed it immensely/

We had an amazing stay at Jacopo's place, true paradise! Jacopo is a masterhost and we felt very welcome. The bed is great and we had a bbq in the wonderful garden, very peacefull Tuscan vibes. The cats also roam the garden and are very nice. It is not far from Pisa, about 30 min by car. We recommend this airbnb to everyone! :)

Maurizio's accommodation is highly recommendable. We were four adults and a small child and stayed for almost two weeks. The accommodation was spacious enough for us, and the old farmhouse has a lot of charm. The park-like garden is truly beautiful. All in all it is a great place to relax or play table tennis or volleyball. There's also a sandbox, a swing, and other toys for children. We really enjoyed the pool. If you're looking for peace, tranquility, and nature, this is the place for you. The host and his wife are very friendly, and we also found the gardener extremely kind.

We loved our stay at Brian’s place which we found to be super spacious & styley & had everything we needed including super comfy beds. Lerici was a great base to explore the area from, including Cinque Terre, whilst offering plenty to do & enjoy right at the bottom of the pathway. Quiet with an unbelievable view. Perfect for 4 people & highly recommend on all fronts. Many thanks Brian :-)

The backyard with the large lawn area and swimming pool really was wonderful for our two grandchildren (boys 3 and 7). Very quiet neighborhood. The property is set back significantly from the big road Viale G Puccini, so you hear no traffic noise. It is about a 12-15 minute walk to get inside the City Walls. The walk area is a shared bike/pedestrian path so we felt comfortable walking with our 3 year old. But watch out for the bicycles! Only one big street crossing with a signal and the main traffic intersection close to the city walls is serviced by a very nice pedestrian underpass. But the City of Lucca and the City Wall is the big attraction. If we were only adults inside the City Walls would be our choice, but this is a great overall compromise if traveling with small children. Easy enough to get to town but with a countryside feel to the location. And Giancarlo and staff were very helpful when we locked ourselves out of the house in the backyard!

We stayed here for 2 weeks and we had a great time! The house is authentic and comfortable. We both had to work as well and the internet worked perfect for us. We had online meetings at the same time without issues. There is no phone reception though but we could manage everything online. Marco is a great host and on top of things to make sure you have a great stay!

Our family needed a house to be near family as well as the city of Lucca, but we wanted the peace & quiet of the hills. This house was perfect for us, even with all the stairs! In fact the stairs were great conditioning for all the walking we did. There were 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, which is great for a family of 4 (Mom, Dad, and 2 kids over the age of 8). Everything was as pictured: towels and linens were clean, kitchen spotless, and yard was beautiful. We did not have time to use the hot tub, although it looked very inviting. We did enjoy the amazing views from all the bedrooms as well as time spent sitting outside on the terrace. Igor was a great host and the Welcome gift was enjoyed. Although we were somewhat familiar with Lucca, Igor was able to provide us with more local information that was extremely helpful (grocery stores, parking, restaurants, and sites to visit). He greeted us when we arrived and was there to say Goodbye. Definitely recommend this place!

How can we even put into words what an incredible experience this was! Antonella was kind and helpful, and her home is just stunning. She made us feel so at home even with our limited Italian. She prepared us a home cooked, four-course meal one night and it was absolutely delicious. She even gave us the leftovers so we could have them for breakfast the next day. The villa was breathtaking and in a perfect location to visit beautiful towns in Tuscany like Pienza, Montepulciano and San Gimignano. We especially loved the pool and visiting with the animals. This was a bucket list stay for us and worth every penny!

We spent 10 wonderful days at Casa Lu. The house is modern and well-equipped, everything is well thought out. The tranquility, the great view of the valley as well as the relative proximity of the beach and places worth seeing was exactly what we hoped for and also found in Casa Lu. Lucia is a very nice and helpful person. In short: highly recommended.

Italian hospitality at it's best. Nothing was too much and the most important thing to them was that we had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday, which we did. From there we were easily able to visit Lucca, Barga, Florence, San Gimignano, Siena, Panzano and the beach. The location and the view from the porch instantly relaxes you. On the last evening we sat on the porch, switched the lights off and watched the fire flies while drinking wine with our meats and cheeses collected from our trips. Do it, just book it.

The main thing is Nada' s attention to every communication you sent, she responds the same day. Anything you asks for within reason, you get from Nada. It was a new experience for us in Tuscany but her property is combiniently located within 40 minutes to an hour and 30 from all the Tuscany turistic places.

This is a fantastic location for those driving into Lucca. Parking is easily accessible just outside the ZTL but still within the city walls, making it a short and convenient walk to the house with luggage. While many reviews mention it, it’s worth emphasizing—this place is exceptionally spacious. It’s at least twice the size of other rentals we’ve stayed in that were described as “spacious,” which was a wonderful surprise not fully apparent from the photos. The extra room made it much easier to relax. We arrived on a cold evening to find the heat already on, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The host provided extra towels, body wash, shampoo, and excellent hot water pressure. Beds are comfortable. We enjoyed having a radio and desks in the living area. The WiFi worked well. Communication was great, and check-in and check-out were simple. I would absolutely stay here again.

Pauline’s place was gorgeous and very close for shopping not far to walk to the airport and to see pisa everything was located perfectly and the apartment was very easy to find so if you struggle with finding apartments and get lost this is a perfect place for you :)

We had the most amazing stay at Francesco‘s. The view from the garden was incredible and at night we were lucky enough to see lots of fireflies which was just magical. Francesco was a great host and made us feel right at home. The apartment really is a little gem in the hills of Monte Pisano and we would love to come back for another stay.

My family and I had a fantastic stay at Iacopo's place. The apartment is right in the historic centre of town and within walking distance from many amenities and landmark sites of historic and cultural relevance. Especially notable amenities are: 1) beautiful terrace overlooking the inner courtyard; private parking; elevator (apartment is on the first floor). Everything was as described. Iacopo was very helpful and responsive, the perfect host. We will definitely book this accommodation again. Thank you!

This place is just magical. We spent 9 dreamy, quiet days there. Bianca and her parents welcomed us warmly and showed us around the residence next to their beautiful house, surrounded by nature and in the countryside (a car is essential to access it). The view is beautiful, and the panorama seen from the pool is even more beautiful than in the photos. The small path to the house is a perfect viewpoint for sunset photos. The place of residence is simple but neat, and we had all the privacy we wanted. Bianca and her parents remained very discreet. Only the cat sometimes came to greet us without bothering us. Bianca even helped us make a reservation at one of the wonderful nearby restaurants. We will recommend this place of residence to our friends who want to visit Tuscany (Florence and Lucca nearby).

We had such a lovely week at Martina's beautiful home. The setting is stunning. Despite very bad luck with weather and rain most days, we had lovely visits to Pisa, Lucca, Florence (by train), Montecatini Terme, Livorno and the beautiful coast at Marina di Pisa on the one sunny day! Martina is a kind and generous host and the delicious homemade tart on arrival was much appreciated and enjoyed! We enjoyed two different local pizzerias and the Co-op in Calci is a very handy supermarket. Highly recommended!

Just go ahead and book! You won’t regret it! We had a great time! Susie and Paolo were so lovely! Our daughter loved petting Luglio. The location is great. You can spend the whole time there secluded and surrounded by the forrest and enjoying the fresh pool or also do day trips. We even went the beach. The flat is just like the pictures! Definitely a recommendation! An authentic AirBnB-Experience! :)

Cozy apartment with great terrace and pool from which you have a wonderful view of nature and the sea. The road to the apartment is adventurous, but passable. For this, the area is very quiet and nature is around the apartment. The hosts were super friendly and always available. I would definitely spend a second vacation here too!

The highlight of our tour around Italy, simply stunning. The outside area is the obvious highlight; the lovely pool overlooking iconic Tuscan scenery, but the inside is also perfect (didn’t think we’d fully use the two bathrooms but we did!!!). Matteo was a great host and couldn’t do enough for us - he even led the way in his car to help us find the restaurant he’d recommended when we arrived (one of our best meals of our holiday). A truly magical stay.
