Cottage vacation rentals in Lucca

Unique, authentic and clean! We were looking for a place where to stay in the mountains and still have the Italian authentic small vila - and we found it. It was rainy when we stayed, but it didn’t changed our plans and the vibe as the villa itself has the coziness that fits any weather. Highly recommended place to stay if you want to feel the unique and authentic vibe.

We stayed at this lovely cottage in late November and we were delighted with every aspect of the stay. The cottage was clean and comfortable, and was well equipped. The hot-tub was wonderful and sitting there on a chilly night with a view of SG was amazing. Annalisa and Davide were really nice and friendly and very helpful- great hosts. It was about 35 minutes to walk to the town, so quite walkable, and wonderfully quiet and rural (one morning there were 3 deer walking past the window). We had a very nice day out in Sienna which was easy to drive to. I would definitely recommend this place as somewhere really special.

We had a fantastic stay in the cottage for nine nights. Villa Alta is in a beautiful location and the grounds around the house are so well maintained. We enjoyed both the shared pool and our own private terrace with hot tub. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and perfect for our needs. It was a perfect base for us to explore the area. Raffaella was so friendly and accommodating and we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at the villa on a couple of occasions. We would highly recommend a stay here.

The place was amazing with a magnificient view to the Mountains. Overall a great expierience there.. a quiet relaxin time at the AirBnB. Thank you again!

Sara and Brian are truly amazing hosts—proactive, kind, and fascinating to talk to. Their home is enchanting, like stepping into a real fairytale. You can feel how much love and care they’ve poured into every detail. It’s one of the most spectacular places we’ve ever stayed in! Not only is the house and the garden magical, but it’s also so practical and thoughtfully equipped, providing everything you could think of to make your stay comfortable. The gym was fantastic, and the house had plenty of space for two families. Even with 2 adults and 4 “monkeys” (our energetic kids), there was room for everyone to relax and enjoy. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and celebrating New Year’s Eve with fireworks lighting up the entire region was an unforgettable experience. Thank you, Sara and Brian, for sharing your incredible home with us. We can’t wait to return!!!

The house is very spacious and the garden is really very pleasant. The kitchen and the master bathroom (huge) are renovated. We really appreciated that the rooms were air conditioned especially since we were there in the hottest period. However, we were surprised to have to buy garbage bags, as there was only one for each trash can, except for the compost that had several. Same for toilet paper, there was just 1 per bathroom. The pool was very hot and the garden was very well-equipped. We had a crib for an additional charge of €10/day which was a little expensive. There were children's toys, but no high chair (good to know). You should know that the access is a little bumpy and that you have to open your eyes to see the bend for the path that leads to the house. It has the advantage of being very quiet and private.

La Chicca Blu is a true gem, offering everything you need for a serene and relaxing getaway. The garden and pool enjoy plenty of sunlight throughout the day, while the trees and awning provide perfect shaded spots when needed. Marzia, the host, is warm and welcoming, ensuring a comfortable stay while respecting your privacy. She is attentive but unobtrusive, allowing you to feel as if you're in your own private summer retreat. This is the ideal place for a peaceful escape in a beautiful setting.

We had a wonderful vacation. Very quiet and undisturbed location without neighbors in the middle of nature. A cottage that offers everything and is practically and tastefully furnished and equipped. One day we hiked from the house, otherwise always by car: supermarket that leaves nothing to be desired 10 min, beach with sand and public 25 min, Pisa and Genoa about 1.5 h with parking, hiking in the Apuan Alps about 1h. Natural beach 35 min.

We, 2 couples a baby and a dog, enjoyed our week at this lovely location. After a quite rocky and adventurous road, the house is situated in the midst of the beautiful tuscan landscape with wine hills and olive trees. From the lovely pool which was only for us we enjoyed those lovely views. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen is fully equipped, including a nice barbecue ourside. Florence is reachable within about 45 minutes by car and there are two little towns about 10-15 minutes away with big grocery stores, restaurants and gelaterias. Andrea and Gianni were super helpful, responsive and lovely hosts. We would highly recommend Le Spugne.

Overall, we loved the home. Can't beat the views, friendly and helpful host and convenient location for visiting numerous attractions in Tuscany. A couple call-outs for future guests. - I used the directions linked in the Airbnb app and it brought me to a different home with an owner who didn't speak English and was confused why we were there. An uncomfortable way to start. The host was kind and helped us find the way. Make sure you have the correct directions before you depart. - if you're sensitive to bugs, it's worth knowing that we had mosquitoes and flies pestering us during our stay. It wouldn't stop us from staying there again but worth noting. - you will need to plan a supermarket trip; consumable essentials are not provided like hand soap, salt & pepper, cooking oil, trash bags, etc. Neither of these things would prevent us from staying again as all the positives outweighed the negative.

The song of the birds and in the background a silence that permeates the senses. This is the place where Fabio's casita is located. So much a bucolic place that, not even the fact that it had several days of rain, was a reason not to be able to enjoy this beautiful environment. The house is thoughtfully decorated and comes with everything you could possibly need TO feel "AT HOME". The bed is absolutely comfortable something that is not always possible to enjoy when you leave the house. Fabio is a friendly and responsive man. We felt very welcoming from the first moment we felt very welcoming from the first moment. Thank you for everything Fabio!

We had a great time. The house is an authentic Tuscan rustic. They just did some work, and it's better than it looks on the listing. The garden is beautiful. We couldn't enjoy the pool, because it was still cold, but we hope to come back in the summer.

It was a very nice week in Tuscany despite the rather rainy weather. The house is wonderful, large, warm, with all the amenities. There is also a wonderful yard with a barbecue, which we did not get to enjoy much, but the fault is only the weather. But our parking place was very convenient. There is complete peace and quiet, it is very relaxing. The location is great - very close to the A11, in 1 hour you can get to Florence, 30-40 minutes to Pisa, 15-20 minutes to Lucca. And to countless other Tuscan beauties. Thank you to Graziella and Marco for the beautiful home, the wonderful welcome and the care they took for us!

Cozy idyllic house with a great view overlooking the Tuscany landscape. The road to the house is a bit widning and long so if you're looking to go out often maybe not the most convenient. However if you're looking for a quiet peaceful getaway, it's an amazing location.

Charming set of cottages/villas in the hilly Tuscany region.  Nearly perfectly centered between Florence and Siena but only 10 min or so from the highway.  The terrain is beautiful with lots of rolling hills.  Accommodations were great and easily slept 6 people.  The space was meticulously cleaned.  Niccolo met us at the property and gave us a great review of the home before he left.  Instructions were fairly clear and easy to follow.  We would definitely repeat.

The host is great and beyond accommodating. The garden and pool area are a dream, much more beautiful and better in real life than in the pictures. You can highly recommend this place. The small village is super cute with good gastronomy.

Quarrata is a great little village and the house is in a pretty location in the country, surrounded by olive trees and rolling hills. its a 2.5km walk or a quick drive, so if you're staying there, it's really useful to have a vehicle. It's peaceful, has everything you need incl a washing machine, and Eleonora is a great, responsive and friendly host. It is up a couple of flights of stairs so just be aware of that. Because of that the views are gorgeous. True Tuscan loveliness.

The cottage is wonderfully secluded in the woods with its own access road. We enjoyed the cottage, in which we seemed to go back in time and we were able to stay cozy. We explored the region extensively over the two weeks we stayed there. Amenities such as a supermarket, bakery, pizzeria and pharmacy can be found in the village. On foot, you'll be on the road for half an hour. A path through the forest existed when we were there (anymore). Because it is remote, you have to do everything by car and the forest path to it is less suitable for low cars or small cars with a small motorbike. The associated garden is large, is not fenced apart from the forest, and consists of terraces. We had some issues with wasps the first few days, but Irene responded right away and caught up with the issue. She was quick to respond to questions anyway.

We felt very well taken care of at Stefania's place. We were personally received by her, everything was very well explained. Everything is very clean and as described. You should know that there is no/very bad Wi-Fi in the accommodation. But Stefania doesn't advertise that either :) If you want to experience a quiet vacation away from the crowds, but within easy reach of the sea and all the important cities, this is the place to be. Thank you.

We had a very nice stay at Laura's, despite the not-so-good weather. The terrace offers a wonderful view of the scenery and leaves nothing to be desired. Laura was always available and very helpful. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Very nice house. Perfect for a couple also with child Had very bad weather unfortunately. However, the house was very warm and well insulated, which is not a given in Italy. We will be happy to come back

The apartment is lovely and perfect for relaxing and enjoying some time away from city troubles. Vagli Sotto is a very tiny town, it is possible to go there by bus, but as there is a lot of nice things to do + no bigger place to shop food around, a car was very helpful. Also, do not book if you’re looking for some luxurious place - the apartment is very comfortable and has everything one needs, but the house itself is quite simple. Contrary to some old reviews, the neighborhood was not loud at all. Catia and Anna were very easy to reach via message and very kind + helpful in every matter. Thank you!!

Our stay at Stefania and Leonardo's was simply fantastic! The garden and pool are a true oasis of calm, perfect for relaxing and enjoying. The place itself is very lovingly decorated, with lots of little details that made us feel at home. We didn't miss anything at all. However, we were particularly impressed by the incredible breakfast that Stefania prepared for us every morning - including her homemade, incredibly delicious bread! The fresh, regional ingredients and the loving preparation surprised us anew every morning. The hosts were incredibly helpful and provided us with great tips for restaurants, sights and the best places to buy high-quality regional products. We felt completely comfortable and would definitely come back. An absolute recommendation for anyone looking for relaxation and warm hospitality!
