This place is a warm, cozy and stylish gem, in the middle of nature. We had a lovely personal welcome by the hosts, plenty of fire wood, never ending views and lots of peace and quiet. For two weeks we enjoyed the snow, ski tracks, winter nights and northern lights! Our three kids spent hours building snow castles and we spent hours reading near the windows. The place has all the amenities you need and good quality furniture, kitchen, beds etc. The nearby mountain school has a friendly owner and rents out various ski equipment and the cabin has some different sleds too. A proper car(winter tires, preferably 4x4) is advised as the road up to the cabin can be tricky in certain weather conditions, but the owners are very proactive in weather and driving advice! All in all a place we love to visit again.

Inger’s place was perfect for our family! We enjoyed the abundant natural light coming in the great big windows, the wood burning fireplace, the sauna (which Inger’s husband Knut graciously helped us get going, then shared interesting information about the history and unique ecological features of the area), and the river views. It’s conveniently located 12 minutes from downtown Lillehammer, making our Birken weekend convenient!

Very good apartment for airbnb guests. Beautifully decorated with great taste. Extremely cozy, and has everything you would need. H & D are always reachable. Lovely place, i will say. And eggs! fresh eggs from little chickies outside.

Amelia & Amer was very accommodating, also asked if everything was okay and we could always reach out to her if we needed anything. To the house itself: the photos don't lie. Such a great and unique place to stay with a relaxed flair, where you can go down and relax from minute one. The house has everything you need and we were able to spend a week so well. We have stayed in Skrenten several times and are always very happy to return. The house is super cozy, clean and delicious and has every conceivable necessity. Such a lovely little place! Super cosy and comfortable. We felt like home as soon as we walked in. Everything was clean and nicely set up, kitchen well equipped and you can tell a lot of care went into the space. I loved having a quiet spot to unwind. It was peaceful, but still close to town, which was perfect.

It was exactly what we need. A cute cozy space where we had room to live and relax. A much better option than a small hotel room and eating out. The quiet surroundings and sunny deck we ideal for relaxing and we appreciated getting to meet the friendly polite neighbours.

We felt very welcome. Jørgen and Idun are superhost. They are very helpful, easy to contact, and respond immediately. When an urgent situation arose where we needed ski gear, they stepped up and helped right away. One day they came by with homemade bread. Better hosts you can't wish for. If you're into cross-country skiing, the apartment is perfect with trails right outside the door. We'd love to come back another time.

Really nice space. We had a great week skiing holiday - the home was a perfect base. Lovely views and easy access to the slopes (about 200 meters across the parking lot below the house) Ski in/Ski out is mostly for some experienced skiers. The gondola runs almost directly across the house, which is cozy. No noise or nuisance from it. We were 7 adults/young and it was a perfect decor for us with the two rooms upstairs with their own bathroom/toilet. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes and cutlery for many. There is a toaster, waffle maker, baking weight, electric whisks, hand blender, etc. The balcony is lovely but was too cold to use in week 7. Will be great in the warmer months and with a barbecue and plenty of space to sit out. We are very satisfied and would love to come again.
