Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Avalon

This place is exactly what it says in the description. It is not a fancy place, but a very functional place and exactly what we need for the weekend.

Janice’s mid century house was beautifully decorated and nicely equipped. Awesome location that’s walking distance to all the restaurants and shopping. Great host with great communication. Highly recommended staying at this location and with this host!

Very conveniently located, loved the seafood restaurant and brunch spot down the street. Loved the layout of the home. Cute dolphin door, what else can you ask for ❤️

The views from this property were absolutely stunning — we loved every moment! Jenny was an excellent communicator, always quick to respond and incredibly helpful. The place offers great privacy, a private beach, access to a beach club, kayak rentals, and a golf cart. The only downside was the door lock — it was difficult to open and often got stuck, which took up quite a bit of time. Should be an easy fix! Everything else was phenomenal!

Such a beautiful property 🩷 quiet, peaceful, and well kept. There are two bedrooms upstairs (all three windows in each to allow proper airflow so it stays fresh throughout the day) and great views of Avalon below. bedroom downstairs has the BEST bed! kitchen area is cute and comfortable. THE BACKYARD is so beautiful if you turn off all the lights at night the stars are phenomenal! Meghan and Jorge were so flexible from the booking process to checking in early all the way to checking out an hour later. I spent my birthday weekend here and had an amazing time enjoying the property to recharge from all the fun activities i had scheduled for the weekend! completely walkable since we had 6 guests but there was only a four seater golf cart which was our ONLY small but manageable challenge when getting around (we just made two trips to transport all guests to wherever we needed to go so it worked out in the end. don’t hesitate to book!

Great place to stay for a group - close to Avalon and the Vons

We were a party of four guys, so we all had our own rooms to sleep in. Front street is only two blocks away, so it was an easy walk. The upstairs patio has a great view! I appreciated having wireless charging stations everywhere and the showers were perfect- one of our party is 6'7" and rarely gets an above his head shower head! This was a great way to spend a few days in Avalon, and we'll do it again next year!

We had a great time staying here and absolutely loved it! The location is a bit far from the main town, but having a golf cart made getting around easy and fun. The views were beautiful, and access to the golf cart was super convenient. While the gas station is a bit of a drive from the condo, it was still worth it. The bed was very comfortable, and overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We're already planning to come back soon!

It would be hard to find a better location in Long Beach—one that’s walking distance to the beach and the best restaurants in town. The property and neighborhood had charm. The space was as described and perhaps even more spacious than anticipated. One of the more kind and responsive owners I’ve encountered. Would rent again!

Let me start off by saying that it is one of the most prettiest beach cottages that I have been to. It is super cute. Very comfortable to sleep in very peaceful felt right at home too bad that we only had to stay only one night can’t wait to be able to return back and stay for a longer weekend. The host Terri was amazing very friendly. Can’t wait to return back. Great places to stay.

Will was a very responsive host and had great recommendations for the area. Just be aware that since this is an attached space to the next-door neighbors, the sound from upstairs is a bit prominent like footsteps/loud sound. Couple of knick knacks like the shower door and fridge door were to be fixed, but that was acknowledged to be repaired. Otherwise, I would love to stay here again.

Great stay at Maria’s place! It’s a sunny, comfy apartment with ocean breezes. I loved that the bedroom curtains allowed for a dark vibe for sleeping in but also the apartment in general had lots of light and fresh air. Lots to walk to including restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and the beach. And super convenient to a grocery store. Would love to stay here again!

This is my second time booking this air bnb and it was just as good as the first time. Location was perfect and still relatively close to LA and other areas.

This was one of the best AirBnb's I have stayed at. Jan was friendly and left several extra ammenities inside the home. The location was in a safe and walkable location. The outside seating areas were inviting and relaxing. My stay was very enjoyable and I will be returning when I am in the area again.

The place was very nice and comfortable, felt right at home. All amenities were there and everything was within walking distance. It’s small but not too small just right for vacation in Long Beach. 100% recommend to anyone that needs a get away and lounge around at home!

Alex is one of the best Airbnb hosts I’ve come across. I had lots of questions and he was so flexible with all my requests. If we return to Disney I would definitely stay again (however keep in mind it isn’t a walkable distance to Disney if that’s your purpose) Such a cute place!

Our stay was everything we had hoped a more. The location was exactly what we wanted. The community is a 3 minute golf car ride away from Avalon. We enjoyed the pool, spa and the amazing views from the deck. We enjoyed being in Hamilton Cove, the setting made it seem like we were in our own little private island. The space was plenty big for our family of 6. We had 4 teenagers with us. 2 slept on their own individual sofa sleeper and the other two shared a queen bed, while the parents had their own master bed/ bath. There were plenty of bedding and covers. They supplied us with hotel size soap, shampoo and conditioner. The kitchen came equipped with all the essentials, including a collection of spices. There was a coffee maker, but we had to buy coffee grounds at the town Vons. The golf cart sat all 6 of us comfortably. It was so nice to have access to our own cart. Some of favorite activities we enjoyed were the aerial rope course and the helicopter tour of the island.

Absolutely beautiful home with an amazing location walking distance from all excursions and amenities. The hosts were very flexible to our needs and requests. Would absolutely recommend spending your vacation here!

What a special place! We could have stayed longer than we did. The apartment and it's balcony had breathtaking views. Bellanca Hotel were flexible with check in and responsive when we had an issue. The golf cart was great for getting to and from Hamilton Cove and Avalon. Pool was heated and very comfortable even on cold mornings, hot tub was hot, and great to exercise with a view of the ocean from the fitness center- all at the building just next to the apartment. we counted about 24 steps down from the road to the apartment front door. we saw seals, pelicans, deer, and dolphins from the balcony and orcas from the ferry!

Kim was very responsive through the app and email. Allowing early use of the cart and letting us drop off our bags early were thoughtful. We would definitely stay here again.

Lamont and the staff were so friendly with great tips on things to do around the island. The property is breathtaking & steps away from the private beach, pool and gym. The golf cart included with the condo was seriously a lifesaver we explored the entire island with ease and sits 6 people. Bring a portable speaker for music on the go. The entire condo is pure luxe & so quiet and peaceful. The shower and kitchen design are my favorites- simply beautiful. Felt right at home!

There were a lot of stairs getting up so make sure to have good knees! The view was worth it! Very private and peaceful. Tom was always responsive and check-in was a breeze. Golf Cart was included was a plus!

Catalina island is an absolutely beautiful place to visit. I've been a few times but this time we decided to stay for bday and mother's day for my wife and our two children. Steven's place is absolutely perfect. it sits in a prime location in Hamilton Cove high enough up to get a great breeze and close enough for peek-a-boo views of the ocean. The stairs can be a little much but not nearly as bad as other units as our 3 and a 5 yr old seem to handle it fine and really its to park the cart which was a life saver. My kids loved traveling the island on the cart and looked forward to sitting in the front to watch all the action. The place is exactly as the pictures show and the unit is very comfortable with a beach home feel. we loved our stay and look forward to coming back. Host was super nice and very responsive making our stay a perfect getaway from the hustle of daily life.
