This is a great home I would recommend! Patricia is a helpful host. Very comfortable and nice location.

Given that the second bathroom in outside with a quick walk down side of house, it was lovely and big. Yes, the home is older but extra cozy. The beds were good and small kitchen perfect for cooking. Could use one more serving bowl. Location was divine! short walk to Marine Street and ferry. A quiet, lovely street. We loved the french doors and half doors to let a beach breeze circulate. Washer and dryer were convenient. Parking always available on street. Granted, it is not brand new but had all we needed. Could not have enjoyed ourselves more. We would definitely love to return in the future.

We were a group of 8 taller & clumsy men in town for the World Ultimate Championships. The house was the perfect size for our group and had comfy beds and linens waiting for us after each day of competition. The open concept shared area was great to allow for team bonding and the walkout deck was great for early morning coffees. The surrounding area was very quiet with excellent access to the ferry and the beach. Great walking loop around the island as well as biking routes and fishing areas allowed everyone the opportunity to explore and not have to deal with any vehicule traffic. The higher shower heads were definitely a hit with the guys above 6'4". We would definitely recommend this house to anyone that wants to have a stress-free, comfortable experience. The hosts were excellent and very communicative. 5 stars all the way!!! Thank-you!

Clean, comfortable and convenient. Great place for kids. Well stocked for cooking in, but also lots of options for eating out. Easy access to the beach. We would definitely stay there again. Host was super nice.

Stephanie place was perfect. As a retired woman who was born & raised in HB; you couldn’t get a better location for the experience of what Surf City is. To walk across the street & stroll the boardwalk, the beach or an evening stroll on the pier was just what we hoped for in our stay. Stephanie had wagons & plenty of beach chairs & beach towels for everyone. So easy to pull our items across to the beach. The house was super comfortable and stocked. Comfortable beds & fluffy towels. Although we were in town for a sad occasion, Stephanie was very accommodating. We actually went to come back for a holiday visit. A+ host & beach house.

This home was absolutely perfect. Spotless and clean with very cozy furniture. Our family had to cut our trip short due to an illness, but we loved the home! We especially liked the dock in the back. We saw a big school of jelly fish swimming by. I HIGHLY recommend this home. We wish we could have finished our time there, and look forward to getting there again!

Great host, not only is Matt’s place amazing, but he is a top notch host! Truly cares about his guests and quick response times! The house was incredible kitchen had all supplies so I was able to cook without missing anything! The fire pit and BBQ on front patio allowed for amazing memories! The rooftop patio, perfect for the morning sun! Walkable to Main Street and the beach! We never had to drive anywhere! Will definitely be staying here again!

This was our second stay! Loved it here once again. The place is detached from the neighbours which is a big draw plus it’s in a great walking zone.

This was our third stay at The Shack! If you're traveling to the peninsula, the price for this location cannot be beat — walkable to Pavilions, the beach (including the boardwalk), Lido, and so many fantastic restaurants. The condo is clean, comfortable, and offers great people watching from its second-story vantage. Will continue to recommend!

We had a great stay at this property! It's fully remodeled, very clean and comfortable. Everything was provided, including nice bath towels (mini shampoo/conditioner/lotion, too), soft comfortable linen, fully stocked kitchen, etc. The property is steps away from Marine Avenue, the main street on Balboa Island, with great shops and restaurants. That being said, you are in a more vibrant and happening part of the island, which comes with a little more noise and traffic. We enjoyed being close to everything, walking around, etc. The host is responsive and super easy to work with.

The host responded promptly and clearly. The place was clean and tidy. There were restaurants and supermarkets nearby. It was very convenient.

Sharon's place was great! The location along Marine is perfect if you want to walk to shops and restaurants. The apartment was very cute and beachy - perfect for a SoCal getaway. And a pretty good size space compared to other places I've stayed on the island - cute living area, desk and dining area, outdoor patio. Love all the plants in the courtyard too ;) Sharon was an outstanding host - very friendly, communicated clearly, responsive, and all around made sure it was a great experience. Highly recommend!

Neil's place was accurate to its description and pictures. The area surrounding offered cliff-side views of the marina and a beautiful hiking/ biking trail. It was too cold in April to make use of the community pool, but the home was spotless, very comfortable beds, pillows/ sheets to sink into at the end of the night, and our family made it our own during our stay. There was just one small hiccup, which is that a spare key to the home was left under the front door mat, unbeknownst to us. Probably doesn't ensure safety, but the area seems quiet and safe that no one seemed to bother to visit the doorstep nor pick up the spare key. Also, a blanket neglected in the washing machine reeked. Aside from these two small things, everything else was wonderful, and we would enjoy staying again!

Great place to stay! Most restaurants are few minutes away! The beach is close by. The host was friendly and responsive.

Andrew has a very nice place and we had a maintenance issue but he was very o very on top of getting it fixed the place the place was very nice and me and my girlfriend had a great time I would 100% recommend staying. Andrew’s place and his reliability made are stay much more peaceful and enjoyable

If you are looking for a five star amazing property in the Corona Del Mar area. Look no more. This property is the bomb. It sold me just on the beautiful amenities, but it also had the second bathroom, the washer and dryer and the designated parking spot. On top of all that, communication was awesome. A definite two thumbs up for this property and I will definitely be back .

We loved our stay at Roya’s home. First, the home is lovely and is in an amazing area. We loved how walkable it was to coffee shops, restaurants, a grocery store, etc. The outside patio with the fire pit and the large amount of seating was great. My husband and I were with our 2 daughters (ages 24 and 27) and their spouse and significant other. The 3 bedrooms each with an en suite bathroom was perfect. Personally we loved that the lights turned off (only during the daytime and only after 2 hours). Seems like a great way to conserve some energy if they aren’t needed and if they are needed it is easy enough to turn them back on. I would love to have them in our home! We also enjoyed the tile throughout the updated, upscale home. So much easier to keep clean. We found Roya to be very helpful and leave very detailed instructions. We also loved the local art she had on the 2nd floor. It truly is a lovely home in a great area. I recommend it highly and can’t wait to return.

Such a great location, he usually stay around this area for our family trips to CDM and this was gold.

Beautiful condo, the yellow walls from the pictures were now a blue color and EVERY SINGLE window looked like a moving painting. Absolutely beautiful. Small note: Really mean security at the gate of the condo. I had a friend surprise me for my birthday and she got called a "liar" when she told the security woman she was not staying the night. Thankfully the hosts are incredible and helped to fix the issue but insanely aggressive behavior for 7am.

Betty’s home was perfect, especially the jacuzzi. We spent a day at the amusement park and soaking in the jacuzzi helped so much with my arthritic bones. The backyard had trees with oranges on them, and a birds nest in the satellite dish which I’m pretty sure had eggs in it. The 3 full bathrooms was a wonder when multiple people need to get ready and the beds were cozy and comfy. Kitchen had the amenities she offers and is so beautiful. Mind you there are tons of cameras around the outside of the house which adds extra safety. I would definitely stay again.

Our stay exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and organized. Had all the “ extras” needed for a family getaway.
