Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Avalon

Given that the second bathroom in outside with a quick walk down side of house, it was lovely and big. Yes, the home is older but extra cozy. The beds were good and small kitchen perfect for cooking. Could use one more serving bowl. Location was divine! short walk to Marine Street and ferry. A quiet, lovely street. We loved the french doors and half doors to let a beach breeze circulate. Washer and dryer were convenient. Parking always available on street. Granted, it is not brand new but had all we needed. Could not have enjoyed ourselves more. We would definitely love to return in the future.

We were a group of 8 taller & clumsy men in town for the World Ultimate Championships. The house was the perfect size for our group and had comfy beds and linens waiting for us after each day of competition. The open concept shared area was great to allow for team bonding and the walkout deck was great for early morning coffees. The surrounding area was very quiet with excellent access to the ferry and the beach. Great walking loop around the island as well as biking routes and fishing areas allowed everyone the opportunity to explore and not have to deal with any vehicule traffic. The higher shower heads were definitely a hit with the guys above 6'4". We would definitely recommend this house to anyone that wants to have a stress-free, comfortable experience. The hosts were excellent and very communicative. 5 stars all the way!!! Thank-you!

Beautiful location with a stunning pool, though unfortunately, it was too cold to use during our stay. The property is just a short drive to Anaheim, making it a convenient spot. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, and we appreciated the thoughtful touch of snacks and small amenities upon arrival. Such a wonderful and welcoming experience!

Thank you Savannah for a lovely stay. We were in the area for a funeral so it was nice to walk around Balboa Island & Peninsula in our free time, including an hour or two on the beach. Your place was clean, efficient, and comfortable. You had all the amenities we needed. Thank you for your timely communications, you made it easy for us to be there.

Stephanie place was perfect. As a retired woman who was born & raised in HB; you couldn’t get a better location for the experience of what Surf City is. To walk across the street & stroll the boardwalk, the beach or an evening stroll on the pier was just what we hoped for in our stay. Stephanie had wagons & plenty of beach chairs & beach towels for everyone. So easy to pull our items across to the beach. The house was super comfortable and stocked. Comfortable beds & fluffy towels. Although we were in town for a sad occasion, Stephanie was very accommodating. We actually went to come back for a holiday visit. A+ host & beach house.

This home was absolutely perfect. Spotless and clean with very cozy furniture. Our family had to cut our trip short due to an illness, but we loved the home! We especially liked the dock in the back. We saw a big school of jelly fish swimming by. I HIGHLY recommend this home. We wish we could have finished our time there, and look forward to getting there again!

Great host, not only is Matt’s place amazing, but he is a top notch host! Truly cares about his guests and quick response times! The house was incredible kitchen had all supplies so I was able to cook without missing anything! The fire pit and BBQ on front patio allowed for amazing memories! The rooftop patio, perfect for the morning sun! Walkable to Main Street and the beach! We never had to drive anywhere! Will definitely be staying here again!

This is a cozy little two bedroom condo duplex that’s a great alternative if you don’t want to stay at one of the Disneyland hotels. It’s a 10 minute walk to the park. I stayed there for four days with my 10-year-old twin daughters, and we had a blast. Kitchen has modern amenities, as does the laundry room, which made keeping up with the needs of two hungry kids easy. The kids room has bunkbeds, twin over full, which suited my kids nicely. The master BR has vaulted ceiling, but no connected master bathroom. The description was accurate, and the host was very responsive and proactive. The binder of instructions was very helpful and clear. You get a garage space which comes in very handy. All in all, if you’re going to Disneyland, and you don’t want to stay at the hotel, and you need a cozy place for your family, this is just about perfect.

Great location and house was very welcoming. Loved all of the features especially the lighting in the house. Favorite part is that it’s so close to Disneyland!

This was our third stay at The Shack! If you're traveling to the peninsula, the price for this location cannot be beat — walkable to Pavilions, the beach (including the boardwalk), Lido, and so many fantastic restaurants. The condo is clean, comfortable, and offers great people watching from its second-story vantage. Will continue to recommend!

Place was clean, check-in was easy, the amenities I was interested in (parking and laundry) were very appreciated and seemingly rare in the area. A friend jokingly commented that it was "locked up like Fort Knox" with the multiple layers of coded access, but given the neighborhood vibe I didn't strictly mind. One nit I ran into is that I wanted to do laundry but couldn't find any sort of detergent in the unit and had to bop over to a corner store -- but otherwise a great stay!

We had a great stay at this property! It's fully remodeled, very clean and comfortable. Everything was provided, including nice bath towels (mini shampoo/conditioner/lotion, too), soft comfortable linen, fully stocked kitchen, etc. The property is steps away from Marine Avenue, the main street on Balboa Island, with great shops and restaurants. That being said, you are in a more vibrant and happening part of the island, which comes with a little more noise and traffic. We enjoyed being close to everything, walking around, etc. The host is responsive and super easy to work with.

Susan’s place was so nice and perfect for our stay in Long Beach. The beds were the comfiest and allowed for restful sleep. The place was spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. We would definitely stay again!

Clean, bright and spacious place just steps from the beach and right across the street from a convenient shopping center. Super comfortable stay and Bruce was an excellent communicator. Thanks, Bruce!

Such a great location, he usually stay around this area for our family trips to CDM and this was gold.

Betty’s home was perfect, especially the jacuzzi. We spent a day at the amusement park and soaking in the jacuzzi helped so much with my arthritic bones. The backyard had trees with oranges on them, and a birds nest in the satellite dish which I’m pretty sure had eggs in it. The 3 full bathrooms was a wonder when multiple people need to get ready and the beds were cozy and comfy. Kitchen had the amenities she offers and is so beautiful. Mind you there are tons of cameras around the outside of the house which adds extra safety. I would definitely stay again.

Both hosts were helpful and quickly responded to all my questions! The place has lots of space for decorating and activities.

If you are looking for a five star amazing property in the Corona Del Mar area. Look no more. This property is the bomb. It sold me just on the beautiful amenities, but it also had the second bathroom, the washer and dryer and the designated parking spot. On top of all that, communication was awesome. A definite two thumbs up for this property and I will definitely be back .

Clifford’s place was perfect for our family - a great location in a beautiful neighborhood that’s close to town, close to the beach, and close to our own family nearby. The house is spacious and comfortable. Clifford was super responsive and a great host. We had a wonderful stay and will be back soon!

Great stay at Susan's villa to end our two-week road trip. More than enough room for our family of six, and equipped with just about everything you can think of (and some you wouldn't!). Ideally located just steps from the beach and only a couple of miles from the restaurants and shops at Shoreline Village. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again A+++
