Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Alajuela Province

Bertha and Kamal hooked me up with a local guide who helped me throughout the week. The house was nicely appointed, very clean and everything worked. Linens were of good quality. AC was good. Kitchen well equipped. The location is fantastic if you like the lush tropical rainforest vibe with lots of wildlife. Saw sloths, monkeys, Toucans a variety of birds and even an armadillo.. Proximity to Tenorio and Miravalles National Parks is excellent. Bijagua is a nice town and you get a feel for the real Costa Rica. I plan to return.

We absolutely loved our stay at Karla’s house on the river! It was absolutely beautiful, amazing yard for the adults to relax and children to play. Karla gave us the perfect restaurant & market recommendations, absolutely perfect stay & location.

Wir waren zu viert für vier Nächte in der Unterkunft und waren mit der Ausstattung sehr zufrieden. Es ist allerdings sehr hellhörig und die Toilettenspülung war sehr laut.

Casa Peces is well maintained and comfortable. The home is spacious and the neighborhood was peaceful. The pool was perfect. It was very easy to communicate with both Martha and Jessica. I would absolutely stay at Casa Peces again on a future trip!

Vanessa’s place was better in person than pictured. It accommodated 2 families. We had a visitor that came every night to greet us( neighbors cat) he was very friendly. My kids loved him. Vanessa was very thorough and very resourceful. We also booked with her for one of our excursions.

A magical family getaway! Lauren is the best host ever! Book this Airbnb with zero doubts. It’s rustic charm and cozy atmosphere make it the perfect place to stay . The view is spectacular and there was loads for my kids to do! We hiked up the quiet neighbourhood road to explore the mountain, drove 30minutes to bajos del toro (an epic drive) and went to Dinoland. It’s a great attraction for kids of all ages, but most importantly, it’s an easy walk to a gorgeous waterfall inside a tropical valley! Just down the road from Dinoland are free Pozas Celestes (cold turquoise natural dipping pools and river). Lauren’s Airbnb is a quick and easy 10minute drive down the hill to the center of Sarchi where we explored the cute town and its restaurants. We loved El Jardín because behind the restaurant is a little play area, ponies, and you can watch local artists in action everyday painting traditional Costa Rican coffee carts. Los anfitriones nos dejaron canasta con café, cervezas, comestibles, etc. Realmente destaco su atención. La casa muy cómoda. Al fondo tiene una cabaña de 1 cama grande con baño privado. El jacuzzi le aporta un plus. Muy completa su cocina. Excelente atención de sus anfitriones.

Wonderful week with my family of four! Loved Punta Islita—beautiful beach and resort- amenities available to us! So much wildlife around! We actually loved the separate master bedroom, worked perfectly for us. The pool was exquisite! Highly recommend!

Cute, small place. It is true that you have a daycare right next to it, but I use it basically for sleeping and making breakfast and it was perfect for this.

Me parecio de los mejores lugares que me he hospedado usando la aplicacion. Las instrucciones de la casa fueron muy utiles para la entrada y salida, ademas de que siempre se agradece las recomendaciones de la zona. El apartamento esta super bien equipado, y de verdad que en fotos se ve bonito pero en persona es muchisimo mejor. Definitivamente si vuelvo a la Fortuna, me hospedare nuevamente aqui!

El lugar está muy bien para descansar se duerme bien poco ruido y está bien acondicionado tiene de todo para una estadía

This airbnb was very comfortable, beds were great. No need for A/C as the temperatures were nice and cool in evenings. You could sleep with windows open as there were screens. It was not near the center of town but there is a bus. We walked to the center of town but if you have mobility issues, the bus would be better. It was peaceful and quiet.

Wir hatten das untere Apartment gemietet, das Sehr schön war & eine Riesen Fensterfront hatte, man konnte eher den unteren Teil der Bäume sehen, trotzdem haben wir einige Vögel entdeckt! Die Zufahrt ist (wie alles in und um Santa Elena) steil, aber für uns ohne Allrad zu bewerkstelligen gewesen.

We have been only for 12 hours in the apartment before the flight and it was great, clean and comfy and very close to the airport. Laundry and dryer machine was a great solution for last moment wash

My partner and I spent a week at Ulik and Andrea's place, and, it was fantastic! The location was excellent being minutes from the airport, and minutes away from City Mall with tons of local amenities. The unit was clean, we felt extremely safe on the property and the front gate security guard was also extremely helpful. Highly recommended!

Jason’s place was well appointed and the complex was nice. Pool and facilities also nice. We were off the street enough that it was also very quiet. Easy access to groceries and restaurants. We never felt like we needed a car and Uber and DiDi is very easy and cheap from the apartments. Thanks Jason.

nous avons aimé l’endroit , beau quartier calme et sécuritaire, une piscine magnifique, très belle appartement avec toutes les commodités. Beaucoup de rangement dans les chambres . Je recommande sans hésiter.

Eine sehr schöne, geschmackvoll eingerichtete, Wohnung in der wir uns die letzten acht Monate richtig wohlgefühlt haben. Die Ausstattung ist perfekt, es fehlt nichts. Waschmaschine, Trockner, zwei Bäder und stabiles Internet waren uns sehr wichtig. Ein Balkon bietet Sonne am Morgen, der andere bietet Mittagssonne und einen wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang. Eine wunderbare Aussicht in guter zentrumsnaher Lage, sehr ruhig und mit netten Nachbarn runden das Ganze ab. Empfehlenswert auch für längere Aufenthalte. Vielen Dank, David!

die Unterkunft war sehr sauber, kleiner Garten dabei, sehr weiche angenehme Bettlaken und ein festes Bett. ich habe sehr gut geschlafen, man ist sehr schnell zum Flughafen. Die City Mall ist gleich nebenan und man kann die ersten Erledigungen dort machen. perfekt für Ankunft oder Abflug!
