Villa vacation rentals in Alajuela Province

This place is incredible! The pictures don’t do it justice. Walking up to views of the Arenal Volcano while drinking coffee on the lovely front porch was a highlight. Alfonso’s place is spacious and very clean with everything you need for your stay. The outdoor shower was unique and a nice added touch to the property! There are several great restaurants in walking distance as well. I highly recommend this place.

The most amazing view we got to see in Costa Rica, over lush mountains all the way to the Pacific Ocean!!! The accommodation was exactly as pictured, very new and super clean. The pool areas is very pleasant and the hosts were extremely friendly!

Stayed there with a very large family group including children, infants, and toddlers. Host was helpful and gracious with check-in and stayed in touch throughout our stay to make sure everything was fine. The space fit our group great. The pool was a hit with the youngsters. It was an easy walk to downtown La Fortuna whenever anyone wanted to get out. Just what we needed.

Stephanie and David’s place was perfect for our 3-night stay in Monteverde. It had everything we needed and the hot tub was an added bonus to help us relax after a day of adventure. Would definitely recommend if your travels to Costa Rica take you to Monteverde!

We had a great stay at Sunset House! Randall was very responsive to all of our questions. The kitchen was well stocked for the nights we decided to cook in. The location was convenient- close to restaurants and a lot of the attractions. We even saw sloths on our walk around the property! The only hiccup that we had was unlocking the door from the inside, as the lock is a bit sticky

We’ve stayed at some cool places over the years, but Casa Del Mono is one of my all-time favorites. It’s a perfect little getaway for anyone who wants to be close to nature but with all the comforts of home. It’s a very private property sitting way up the side of a mountain with a beautiful courtyard and hiking trails right out the front door. You simply cannot beat the view, and waking up to a chorus of birds like toucans, oropendolas, and tanagers was incredible (bring your binoculars)! The house itself is beautiful and well-equipped with everything you need. The kitchen is fully stocked, the bed is comfortable, and the shower/tub are gorgeous. It was everything we were hoping for in a Costa Rican stay, and I hope we get to visit again soon!

From beginning to end, everything was absolutely perfect. Arnaldo was so easy to communicate with and answered all questions quickly. I knew this place would be gorgeous but the pics really do not do justice to how insanely gorgeous the property truly is. I would 10000% stay again if in area. Felt like luxury! Truly loved this spot sooooo very much! Only a 15 min drive to La Fortuna center. Thank you, Arnaldo and family! We could not have been more pleased!! Wonderful stay!!!

I cannot say enough about the support offered by Home Vacations - especially Mario - in helping me plan and organize our activities for our visit. He helped with tours, drivers, and insight into tour options. The home was lovely! It was perfect for our very large group of teens and adults. Guisel was always on hand and available to happily answer any questions we had. (In Spanish!). Not only would I recommend this particular listing, I would absolutely go back and stay here again. It's not just a home away from home, it's a home with help!

We were two families with teenage kids and really enjoyed the sleeping arrangements and that each adult couple and sets of kids had their own bungalow. The area was peaceful and just outside of town but quick and easy drive/ride into town (no problem Ubering to town). It’s a very authentic accommodations but still had AC and full kitchen. The owner was very helpful and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Amazing property and beautiful view. Looks just like the photos. Stayed with our 5 kids - plenty of rooms/beds and bathrooms made it very comfortable. Ronald, the property manager was sooo helpful - booked us a chef, fishing and was always in contact with us. Road into punta islita was a bit rough for the van that we rented - 4x4 would have been better. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Our group of 8 adults and 2 teenagers stayed at Allan & Jorge’s villa, and it exceeded all our expectations. The villa offered the perfect balance of privacy and a shared space, ideal for our group. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, and communication with our hosts was seamless. We especially appreciated the thoughtful welcome gift of fruit and drinks. Thank you, Allan & Jorge!

Wow!🤩. Our family of seven enjoyed this beautiful retreat. It is essentially a small boutique resort. Axel greeted us and midnight and was helpful during our stay. Andy texted us so we could see the sloth climbing the tree on the property. They were both so friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend staying here! The landscaping is impeccable, the bedrooms and bathrooms spacious and well done. We cooked a big breakfast daily and washed and dried our clothes after the day’s adventure. Some of started our day at the workout area. We all ended our day at the oversized hot tub and large pool. This place was the perfect way to start and end the day. We are AirBnB hosts and we learned a lot on how to improve our places.

The villa was absolutely beautiful. We has a birdseye view of the volcano. It is a peaceful and tranquil area. Pedro was always available to assist us. Homer became our personal tour guide. Vicky did everything to make are stay enjoyable. I will definitely book her home again. Vicky's home was the cleanest and we'll stock airbnb that I have stayed

What a beautiful home! This place is equipped, detailed, clean, comfortable and maintained. The views are endless. The nights are gorgeous. We spent the majority of our time on the back patio and in the pool. The outdoor shower was amazing. Francisco, the caretaker, was also just so fabulous. He was so helpful and just precious. It was just myself and my best friend, two females, and we felt very safe. They had very comfortable beds, sheets, pillows, towels, linens in general. My best friend and I felt right at home. Probably one of the most comfortable well equipped homes that I’ve stayed in. Definitely the cleanest. I would highly recommend this home to anyone. Looking forward to the air-conditioning in the upper bedrooms!

Wow!! This place is phenomenal. It is in a private, gated community but in close proximity to San Jose. There are several local restaurants and the grocery store is 8 minutes away. The house sits on 7 acres, has a large indoor space that is quite nice, and an outdoor entertainment space that is phenomenal. The outdoor space includes a grill and eating area, a gas fire pit for nighttime relaxation, and a large pool overlooking a beautiful valley with a mountain range in the background. You can sit on the patio and watch the sunset. We literally spent an entire day enjoying this outdoor space.

Amazing place to stay with friends or family and close to La Fortuna downtown and the El Salto rope swing. Great backyard with grill and pool that is covered from the rain.

Great spot in a quiet neighborhood, close to the supermarket and restaurants. We walked to the Red Frog several times for coffee and meals. 20 min drive to Arenal Park and Mystico. Great touches around the home. Would definitely stay again!

Visited with family including Young kids. We got delayed a few times on the road and Joshua was very accommodating and understanding. He met us at the house to go through all amenities, questions and to give us a sense of what is around us. The place is well equipped and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside and watching the birds (including daily macaw fly by), the pool and the hamacs. We were fortunate to see the volcano as well from the patio are as we had a few clear days. La Fortuna is minutes away by car and enjoyed the local Panaderia (bakery) and got some basics at the Sonafluca supermarket which is 3 minutes away by car.

We enjoyed our stay at Brayan’s place. He was very hospitable, it was located near many fun activities, the view was beautiful, and the kids loved the pool! We’d definitely recommend!

Great place in a great location!

The place is amazing and Marvin helped us out a lot, come back in two weeks to the same place thats how much we loved it.

Jeannine was a terrific host. Volcano Villa was a great home base for all of our activities in the area. The accommodations suited our family and we felt very welcome.

It was slightly tricky locating the house, but after we got Alonzo on the phone, we were all set. The house is absolutely fabulous, with a pristine pool right in the middle which was cleaned every day while we were out on excursions (hanging bridges, white water rafting, zip lines, hot springs). The house has an open floor plan, but the bedrooms are locked and air conditioned with private outdoor bathrooms. The river is behind the house and beautiful to wade in and just sit on the rocks. We had the pleasure of meeting Alonzo one afternoon, and he offered restaurant choices (off the beaten path) and basic information on the town. There was no oven, but the stove top, air fryer and Instant Pot took care of all our cooking needs. Overall, the house was amazing and we felt safe while communing with nature. Alonzo was easy to reach on What's App and a huge help when we left a wallet at a local coffee shop after we'd departed. He retrieved it and mailed it back to us. Pura Vida!!
