Waterfront vacation rentals in Alajuela Province

The view over the lake arenal is just phenomenal! The house has a huge garden with some fruits, herbs & vegetables wich we were allowed to eat. We can for sure recommend.

Beautiful place, cozy and totally perfect for a quiet family getaway. What I do consider is taking into account the check-in and check-out time, as many places are days that are paid and totally lost, with check-in very late and check-out very early. Other than that, everything else is perfect

Very nice. I stayed 6 days in this place and I felt very good. There's a bakery, supermarket and other shops nearby. It's a quiet area but you always have to be careful, but in general very good. Fabi is very good, very friendly. I hope to return soon 😃

Well indicated accommodation, well equipped, there is everything you need and you are not bothered by a vis-a-vis the neighborhood! The view of the vegetation from the hill across the street is nice! Also, the fact that the listing is upstairs has the advantage of not having too many insects in the house!

In terms of value for money, it seems pretty good to me. A small but comfortable apartment to spend the night in a quiet area and close to the tourist part of the port.

Kristian was a great host, he met us at the property and helped us to use the washing machine and suggested activities. It’s worth noting that there is some traffic noise, in the double bedroom because it’s close to the road but we slept fine using ear plugs. It’s a handy stopover for taking the ferry.

There are amazing surroundings at this place. We saw parrots in the trees next to the house, toucans and monkeys. The lake is very big and the home is roomy.

Casa Cielo is a special place. I was looking for something more unique than the rinse and repeat new Airbnb builds closer to La Fortuna. The huge windows overlooking the private lake was serene. Curt is an incredible host who truly embraces the concept of "hosting". The food was spectacular - way above and beyond. Extremely generous high-effort home cooking from Vielca (sp?). We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner each day we were there and had no desire to go to restaurants. They even did laundry for us! I'd definitely return and recommend to anyone looking for a unique place to stay.

A place full of opportunities to explore. The home is very well equipped and extremely comfortable. Vigdis has been extremely attentive. I wish they had the chance to meet Don Alberto on the island, a gentleman, also eating beachfront at Evelyn and Keila's restaurant. The ceviche is delicious.

This place is very basic and we just stayed here We had a great stay for a night! The place was super clean and everything worked just as described. We do prefer a bit more comfort in our linens and bedding, but the ones provided were okay. There’s only one bedroom with a queen-size bed and a sofa bed. It would’ve been better if there were two single beds, since the bedroom is large. You could separate or join them based on what your guests prefer. Oh, and there are some stray and neighbor owned dogs that live nearby and sometimes hang out around the property if you’re outside in the back or front. They’re friendly and harmless, but they might not be the best for people who are scared of dogs.

The property is as it appears in the photos. It's a very nice, spacious and comfortable property. The beach is a few steps away and is very quiet.

Fantastic accommodation with a fantastic view of Arenal volcano directly opposite. We thoroughly enjoyed listening to the birds on the balcony whilst sipping a morning coffee. It was such a luxury to have the river right on our doorstep and all to ourselves! A hidden gem just a 2 minute drive away from the hustle and bussle, we would highly recommend and stay again!

A very unique location overlooking the ocean and countryside. We had a very private feel, and nearby beaches were not busy at all. Close to the macaw sanctuary and we say a few wild macaw fly over us. The pool was 10/10.

The sunsets alone were worth every penny!! We raced back to the house every night just to watch the colors change. The house itself is quaint, clean, organized and quite perfect! It’s small but they have what is needed to hang your clothes as there is not a lot of room to leave open luggage. Our family ran and played on the quiet beach. I think we saw 5 people total.. great hard packed sand for morning and evening walks. There was a spot that was very dirty (glass, plastic, etc) from high tide that you would want to wear shoes to walk through. Giovanni was thorough in communications and quick to respond! His directions were very much appreciated. We knew there weren’t a ton of amenities nearby. But it’s no joke, when you leave the house pack what you need as it’s not near activities and has very limited eating. Not an issue for most - just a heads up!

Awesome place with beautiful views. Restaurant downstairs has excellent food and drinks.
