Waterfront vacation rentals in Alajuela Province

The view over the lake arenal is just phenomenal! The house has a huge garden with some fruits, herbs & vegetables wich we were allowed to eat. We can for sure recommend.

Very nice. I stayed 6 days in this place and I felt very good. There's a bakery, supermarket and other shops nearby. It's a quiet area but you always have to be careful, but in general very good. Fabi is very good, very friendly. I hope to return soon 😃

There are amazing surroundings at this place. We saw parrots in the trees next to the house, toucans and monkeys. The lake is very big and the home is roomy.

Alex is a great host, very kind and thoughtful. Great place to rest and disconnect. It has all the amenities, a very complete apartment and everything in perfect condition. We hope to return!

This is a very special place with such peacefulness all around. There is a river that surrounds the property and I had a wonderful view from my studio room to watch birds and listen to the river. Johanna is a very kind and attentive host with a charming cat who warmly welcomes you! There is a really nice yoga pavilion space and hammocks to relax.

This is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. The atmosphere is peaceful, incredibly relaxing, and the surroundings are absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was fantastic, and having a chat with Paul was truly a blessing. Thank you, Paul and Carole, for such a wonderful experience. I’ll definitely be visiting again!

We had a fantastic stay at Curt’s place! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The food was absolutely amazing—delicious, hearty, and filling every single time. Curt was a wonderful host who took the time to give us a tour of his beautiful property and shared so much knowledge about the local area. His recommendations for restaurants and tourist spots were all spot-on and really enhanced our trip. One of the highlights was the incredible wildlife we got to see—everything from critters to a sloth! It was truly unforgettable. On top of all that, Curt’s team went above and beyond by surprising one of our group members with a birthday cake, made fresh with only a few hours’ notice. Such a thoughtful gesture! We’re so grateful for the experience and would absolutely recommend Curt’s place to anyone looking for an authentic, warm, and memorable stay. Thank you, Curt!

This place is very basic and we just stayed here We had a great stay for a night! The place was super clean and everything worked just as described. We do prefer a bit more comfort in our linens and bedding, but the ones provided were okay. There’s only one bedroom with a queen-size bed and a sofa bed. It would’ve been better if there were two single beds, since the bedroom is large. You could separate or join them based on what your guests prefer. Oh, and there are some stray and neighbor owned dogs that live nearby and sometimes hang out around the property if you’re outside in the back or front. They’re friendly and harmless, but they might not be the best for people who are scared of dogs.

It's a place to enjoy

My dad and I loved staying at Laura’s place. Private, peaceful (but still close to town) and with a beautiful view. Quite a few butterflies on the trail to and around the house. The cleaning service was well timed, and it was great to come back to a clean house halfway through our stay. Would stay here again, just make sure to rent an AWD SUV since the trail is through the forest of Monteverde.

Absolutely stunning home and location! The walk down the stairs down to Rio Celeste was so beautiful! We had the best time being surrounded by nature at The Blue House. The home is super clean and equipped with every single thing you need. We loved walking all the different paths around the property and the garden was stunning! Anisa went above and beyond in making sure we had an incredible stay. We will definitely be making The Blue House a regular stop on all our annual Costa Rican vacations. We will be recommending this house to every person we know!
