Lake house vacation rentals in Santee

This was such a nice little stay! It was a bit chilly most mornings of our trip, but the enclosed porch was great for coffee and morning conversation. Beds were super comfy too!

Took my wife,daughter, dogs and in laws to visit family over Thanksgiving break, what a great stay! Loved the location on the water, amazing view, comfortable home, great game room upstairs and easy parking. I can't say enough good things about our stay. Kitchen was fully stocked with enough to cook a whole Thanksgiving dinner. We made some great family memories here, thank you! I could write a short book about all the great things this property has but I'll finish here, well worth the money and the hosts were great too. Stay here for a great time!

Me and my family had stayed here before right after the hurricane in October of 2024. Not much has changed since then, which is amazing! Dan and Linda are the sweetest hosts and an amazing couple! We definitely can't wait to stay again and enjoy the water once more.

The owner was incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with, making the entire experience seamless. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a serene and relaxing retreat. My husband and I had a wonderful stay while in town visiting family Thanksgiving weekend. The house is comfy and cozy and the view of the lake is absolutely stellar! Unfortunately it was very chilly outside while we were there, but we enjoyed the view from the comfort of the warm living room and I cooked some delicious food, while taking in the beauty of the lake, from all of the windows in the very well equipped kitchen. We only had one brief hiccup when first arriving and trying to get into the house, but Miller answered my phone call on the first try and was super nice and helped us figure it out very quickly! We loved how quiet and peaceful the area is and enjoyed seeing all of the wildlife! The only thing that could have possibly made our stay better was having access to a washer and dryer, but otherwise it was perfect and we can't wait to come back and stay again! Highly recommend a stay in this beautiful home! 😊

From first reaching out to Kathy about parking for our group, to her reaching back out to check on us day before coming in...Kathy was a very responsive host. Her property was as advertised and was a perfect location for our group of fisherman. Everything we needed for a relaxing 3 day weekend was provided including a bowl of snacks!! We didn't use the boat ramp on property, but that along with the dock was a plus for boaters. Ample parking for 4 bass boats on trailer. With the impending bad weather she was very accommodating for us to possibly check out late if needed. Only thing I will point out is master bath has a senior style walk in tub. A little tight for a big fella like myself. If available on our next trip, won't hesitate to rent this property again. Thank you again Kathy!!

Absolutely amazing stay at Todd’s property. We enjoyed breathtaking views of sunrise over Lake Murray from the front porch and stunning sunsets over Lake Murray from the backyard. The home was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Hope to return!

LaJuana was very friendly and accommodating and her place was a great home base for my family for a Carolina football weekend!

Huge house! Very private. Has a dock and boat launch. Beautiful view of the lake from all levels of the house. Plenty of rooms and common space. Would definitely stay here again!

Had a wonderful stay at this property! House was amazing! Very clean and great views on the lake. Nice screened in porch which was great to hang out on. Kitchen, living room, and bedrooms were all very comfortable. Scott and Lauren were both extremely helpful and checked in with us throughout the stay to make sure we had everything we needed. 5/5 would recommend and would stay again if in the area!

Great cabin by the lake and close to lake access! Clean cabin with all you need for a fishing trip. Great restaurant within 75 yards of the cabin open from breakfast at 7 till 9-10 at night. Great fishing in the area!! Boat parking is a little tight with a 20 ft rig on the back but we made it work by backing in. All in all a great place to stay!!

Place was very nice. Convenient for our bass tournament. Carlos was an excellent host.

Very clean and spacious house with more than reasonable stocked items made us feel at home the minute we stepped in. Inside, tasteful furnitures and decoration gave us a cozy feel as if we are staying at my grandmother’s house. Outside, you can spend all day relaxed with the sounds of nature - water, wind, and birds. I tried kayaking for the first time. Water is calm, nothing else is around me except water. What a soothing experience! And the sunset is breathtaking.

The host was great and the place was as described. We had enough space for everyone to sleep. I wish we had more time to enjoy the water but our schedule did not allow.

Our stay here was fantastic! Elizabeth was very responsive, friendly, and helpful with instructions. The property was peaceful and beautiful with lots of space and seating on the deck and by the fire. The home was clean, comfortable, and had everything needed for amenities. The location is close to town and within driving distance to Columbia and other fun things to do nearby. And being pet friendly was a huge plus! Definitely hope to visit there again soon!

We stayed for the weekend of our daughter’s wedding at Heron Hill Venue. The location was great and the scenery beautiful. The lake house is well equipped, comfortable, and decorated but not cluttered. The deck overlooking the lake was the perfect place to sit in the morning and relax with my hot cup of tea before wedding preparations got crazy. Only wish we’d had more time to enjoy it. Kim was very helpful and responsive. I would come back again even without a wedding to attend. High marks for this lake house retreat!

The house was perfect for our group of three moms and daughters in town for a dance competition. We felt right at home and had a great time. The view of the lake was beautiful! The girls are already hoping they have another dance competition in the area next year so we can stay here again.

Clean, plenty of entertainment, minimal cleaning request for check out. The house is stunning and so is the view of the lake. It is BEAUTIFUL. I would absolutely stay here again.

We enjoyed our week at the lake and found the home well-stocked. We ate most of our meals at home and had everything we needed. The kitchen was nicely appointed, and the appliances were high quality. There is a Publix grocery store 10 minutes away and several local restaurants to enjoy. We used the charcoal grill for several meals and sat outside as much as possible. The whole family enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, and swimming in the lake. A ladder on the dock would make it easier to get out of the lake, but we made due.

It was a great place for our whole family. It checked all the boxes for everyone. Fishing was our #1 box, having the boat dock was wonderful. They didn't have to take the boat in and out of the water everytime they fished. The indoor swimming pool was great for the kids and adults because you didn't have to wait for warm weather. The pool table was fun for all and we could all hang together in the spacious area. The kitchen was large and clean with everything you would need. We all had a great relaxing vacation. Would highly recommend this place! Working with Ingrid was wonderful! She was extremely helpful and was available when we needed her. Would love to check out her other properties.
