Beautiful Walk to Downtown from European Flat.

We have a wonderful open floor plan with 270 degree views and a roof deck with 360 degree views of the beautiful San Luis Obispo mountains- Terrace Hill, Bishop Beak, Madonna, etc... Guests have access to the roof deck, two outdoor balconies, shared patio next to the elevator, free parking on Bridge street as well as an assigned and guest parking on the Los Osos Street side. I may not get a chance to meet you but I’m available via text, phone or AirBnB messaging during your stay. The house is in San Luis Obispo next door to Terrace Hill. A bike trail leads across the bridge and downtown to Morro Street, where there’s delicious Italian food at Cafe Roma and an organic breakfast and lunch at Sally Loos. You can walk downtown, grab the bus at the train station or hop on the train to Northern and southern CA all within walking distance. Enjoy spectacular sunrises and sunsets from the roof deck. A great quick hike to Terrace Hill on the other side of the bridge.

All about San Luis Obispo

An equal distance from the wildlife haven of Morro Bay and laid-back Pismo Beach, the small city of San Luis Obispo sits midway between Los Angeles and San Francisco in California’s central coast region. As one of the state’s oldest communities, it’s filled with culture and history, featuring a 19th-century city center surrounded by a restored 18th-century mission, and local homes and businesses often have a Spanish architectural influence.

Aside from dreamy views of the Santa Lucia Mountains and coastline, a major draw in San Luis Obispo is its location in the state’s third-largest wine-producing county, and you can pair your local albariño with dinner made with ingredients sourced from the numerous local farmers markets. Vacation homes here are also well positioned for exploring the local art scene — you’ll find pop-up galleries sitting alongside permanent exhibitions — and kayaking, swimming, and hiking are all within easy reach.

What are the top things to do in San Luis Obispo?

Edna Valley

Just a short drive south from San Luis Obispo is Edna Valley, a region known for its cluster of wineries and award-winning pinot noir — you’ll find established brands and under-the-radar producers offering tastings at their vineyards. Visit the Old Edna Townsite for a picnic with wine and cheese or nearby Arroyo Grande Valley to browse the local markets.

San Luis Obispo Museum of Art

Perched on Monterey Street downtown, the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art showcases California artists across three galleries, focusing on contemporary works. Head to SLOMA, as the locals call it, for a taste of local prints, sculptures, and paintings. If you time your visit right, you can join one of the monthly talks that take you through the exhibits.

Montaña de Oro State Park

Ten miles west from the city is Montaña de Oro State Park, a popular spot thanks to its abundance of trails for cyclists and hikers, beautiful peaks, and sandy beach. Nature lovers are also drawn here for the seabirds and otters. Take one of the coastal trails by Spooner’s Cove for views of the ocean and unique rock formations.
