Guesthouse vacation rentals in San Joaquin River

This beautiful Oakland Oasis was better than I imagined it would be! This place exceeded my expectations! Coming through the gate the first night, to a path of twinkling lights leading us to our adorable cabin took my breath away! It was the perfect location for peace and quiet right in the middle of Oakland. My only regret is that I didn’t spend more time on the property. We flew in from out of state to visit friends and spent a lot of time out and about. I definitely want to come back to spend more time hanging out in the backyard with the goats and chickens. My 13-year-old loved the backyard, the trampoline and the animals. The location was very walkable and within several blocks of many restaurants and shops. We rented a car and street parking was easily accessible. Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park was only an 8 minute drive away and we spent most mornings walking through the mountains enjoying the beautiful trees and views of San Francisco. Highly recommend this listing!

Anthony & Gina were very prompt as well as thorough with everything. Met me at the driveway, gave me a walkthrough, very detailed instructions with amenities & was very friendly. The bed, omg the bed. I could sleep in it for days. The color scheme between the bed, bathroom & kitchenette was on point. Recommendations for the nearby neighborhood are helpful for anyone staying in the area & is unfamiliar. Sacramento is a 2nd home for me so it was perfect for anyone looking to stay close to a freeway, restaurants, Walmart & grocery store. Highly recommend, planning to come again!!

This was our second time staying at Marty and Jess’s place, and once again, it’s an easy 5 stars! They’re wonderful hosts—kind, responsive, and always making sure we feel completely at home. The apartment is just the right size for my boyfriend and me, cozy and comfortable, and also a peaceful spot to work remotely. We especially love their beautiful garden and the quiet, walkable neighborhood. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Amy's place was wonderful - one of the few places we've ever stayed that was even better in person than in pictures. It was clean, spacious, and very comfortable for the 2 of us. The outdoor space was amazing, plenty of quiet spaces to lounge in the sun and walk around. The area was great as well, quiet but close to downtown, and Amy was a thoughtful and responsive host, we really appreciated her thoughtfulness. The one thing to note is that the Wi-fi could be unreliable - we both worked from the Airbnb, and made it work for the week, but something to note for future visitors. We'd definitely recommend this place and plan to come back next time we visit. Thank you Amy!

We enjoyed our stay at Barbara's charming Backyard Beach House for the third time, and felt at home there. We find it restful to stay in this quiet neighborhood. It's always nice to communicate with Barbara and Ken, as they are readily available if we have questions or requests. We consider this house a gem of a find. Thank you again Barbara and Ken for contributing to our lovely vacation.

Very clean and peaceful home. Equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The horses were beautiful to see from the window every morning. They accepted our pets and home was pet friendly- their dogs do roam the property but pretty much stayed away from the guesthouse. Convenient and safe location! Would definitely stay again. I rented Polina’s place for my daughter and toddler grandson during their visit to the area because my husband and I did not have room for them to stay with us. It was an excellent choice - a lovely well maintained unit on the grounds of Polina and her family’s home in the hills above Walnut Creek. Very peaceful area, yet close to downtown and transportation options. Polina was so kind and helpful, the unit has everything one would need for a short stay in the area. Highly recommended and a good value for the area.

great ADU for a week long work trip! I was a solo traveler and the place was perfect for me. in a really cute neighborhood and felt completely safe the entire time. would definitely book this spot again!

It was a nice private back area with my own private patio, barbecue and out side table! Good spot right in town. 2 blocks away from a lot of bars and restaurants and a mini mart across the street!!

We really enjoyed staying at Yao's place! It's located in a quiet, safe neighborhood while also being conveniently close to many great restaurants and other parts of the South Bay. The space is spacious, superbly clean, and has all the amenities one could ask for. Yao was a friendly and responsive host, and we would definitely stay again!

This is my 3rd or 4th time staying at Pedram's place and every time is perfect. Pedram is super easy to communicate with and responsive. The place is exactly what I want and has excellent appliances and layout.

Very cute place in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful surroundings. I especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen. Robert is a very communicative and kind host and made us feel welcomed.

This was our second stay at Sanay's cabin and we loved it, just like the first stay. Sanay recommends Lunas kitchen and we wholeheartedly underscribe this recommendation. On our last day we found Moonewake coffee roasters nearby and that's really the place to be for Awesome Coffee and bread&pastries.

Sara's place is great. Peaceful neighborhood and close to everything you need. It's very clean and cozy. I used it as a base for my trip to Yosemite. Definitely recommended!

Christina’s place was perfect. Everything was as described in the listing. The views of San Jose were amazing. This is a very good location with security, inside a gated compound. We totally loved our stay here and will recommend Christina’s place to friends. We will definitely be back. Thank you Christina and Chris for hosting us!

Our stay at Kyle’s was lovely and easy! It was a perfect home base for our adventures in the nearby state parks. The chickens are very cute, but if you’re a light sleeper looking for quiet, you may hear them in the morning. The eggs are amazing and such a wonderful addition to a comfortable stay. We had everything we needed and then some! Would definitely stay again during a trip to the Santa Cruz area.

Location was very quiet and peaceful. The room is clean and well organized. The hospitality of host was great. If I have a next chance, I want to stay again.

We had a wonderful, peaceful stay at Jennifer’s! The cottage is located in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Instructions were clear, check in was simple, and the cottage looked just like the photos. There was everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Jennifer and Craig were also very quick to respond whenever we had any questions. There were also many restaurants/shops nearby! We will definitely be staying again in the future!

The space is accurately described. It is very private, a modestly sized one bedroom duplex with everything you need like washer dryer and full kitchen amenities. I liked that it was so close to the beach and restaurants too, we had Tramonti and it was great. If this is available during my next vacation I will definitely try to reserve it again

This is my happy place! I've stayed here multiple times and can't wait to come back. All the best things in the world within reach - ocean, beaches, hiking, biking, great weather, close to restaurants and cafes.
