Start the day with a coffee at one of the outdoor dining areas on the terrace, then bring a book down to a lounge chair by the pool. Prepare lunch on the outdoor grill and enjoy the meal in the shade of the pergola-covered al-fresco dining area. After a day of sightseeing or golf, relax with satellite television and DVD player. For convenience and comfort, there’s air conditioning and Wi-Fi access in both the main house and guest cottage. Caminata’s interiors are eclectic and relaxed. The spacious living room has two seating areas, facing either the garden or fireplace, and a comfortable mix of a velour sofa, wicker wingback chairs and tufted leather ottomans anchored by beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. The traditional vibe is carried through to the dining room, which has floral drapes and vintage-style round-backed chairs, and the eat-in kitchen, which has ladder-back chairs and exposed wood shelving. Each of the villa’s six bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom; five are in the main house and one is in the guest cottage. In the main house, there are two bedrooms with king beds, and two bedrooms with two twin beds. The guest cottage has a bedroom witha king bed as well as its own sitting area, television and kitchenette. Whether you stroll through the garden of over 3,000 plants or simply relax by the pool, there’s plenty to do at the villa itself. But during your stay, don’t miss a visit to the Antognolla golf course, a 2-minute drive away, even if it’s just to have a drink at the clubhouse. The club is situated between Umbertide and Perugia in Umbria, close to Lake Trasimeno and the border with Tuscany.
