This special place on the gorgeous river Aume and centre of Aigre- butcher, Carrefour supermarket, epicurie, boulangerie, Thursday market, restaurants and bar- a hive of activity in rural France. Upstairs Bedroom 1 and 2 are large double bedrooms. Bedroom 4 ( with a single and a small double bed) is only accessible through Bedroom 2. These rooms share a bathroom off the upstairs hallway. Bedroom 3 downstairs has ensuite toilet and shower with a desk and a fold out single bed if needed.

Lakeside cabin with space for 1-4 people. This recently restored boathouse will give you a real switch off from the modern world feel, no tv or wifi to complicate things, just birdsong and views across the lake. Sleep up in the bedroom or on the extremely comfortable sofabed if climbing the stairs is not for you. Relax on the terrace, take a siesta in the hammock. Within 1hr of the Dordogne, numerous chateaux at 20 mins as well as some lovely local villages. Come and unwind.

Fantastic place, beautiful setting with direct access to the river and large pool. We had a very happy family holiday and were more than comfortable in the boat house with 2 adults and 2 small children. Great private patio area with loungers and bbq looking down to the river. Lovely hosts. Thanks!

Frédéric is a welcoming host and reachable if needed. The accommodation has a private courtyard, with electric gate overlooking the canal and the greenway so it's quiet, it was clean, tidy... only the towel rails and/or coat racks were torn off but Frédéric was aware of it. The sofa bed is more suitable for children (or for one night) in our opinion. Everything was great. We won't hesitate to come back.

Thanks to Chantal and sister , we enjoyed staying at their place, the accommodation was nice, welcoming, heated and clean. It was also well equipped and felt right at home. Nice view of the Dordogne and located amid vineyards. Unfortunately we were not able to enjoy the garden and terrace maintained because of the weather but they must be pleasant in the warm season. The house is located in a quiet area. I would this property.

What an absolute gem of a place to stay if you are visiting Bergerac. Less than 10 minute walk to the historic centre and 4 minute walk from a Carrefour supermarket. The river is just outside the beautiful private garden. The v91 cycle route ran in either direction just outside the back gate and we used the great bikes provided to cycle this beautiful route. The house itself is superb. Modern and extremely well equipped. A lot of thought has gone into making this a very comfortable place to stay and Jacqueline was a fantastic and responsive host. She even went so far as to collect us from the airport and drop us off at the end of our stay. We loved our stay and cannot praise it highly enough.

We had a lovely week's holiday here. A well planned house, perfect for our adult family group, in a very peaceful location, with a good sized pool and within reach of Bordeaux, the coast (Arcachon and Dune de Pilat are definitely worth a visit) and St Emilion. We had an excellent meal at Entredeuxverres in Cambes and Cabane dans les Vignes (about a 15 min drive) is lovely for a chill evening with wonderful views over the vineyards and river.
