Vacation rentals with lake access in Madeira Island

Thank you for taking me to your wonderful place! I enjoyed the calm of the place, the surrounding nature, the landscape and obviously the waterfall. Great hikes are nearby for amateurs. The host is also very friendly and even if I don't speak Portuguese we were able to talk in English.

It was an amazing stay. The property is located on a mountain with a fantastic view of the sea. The house is perfectly equipped. The hot tub was perfect, especially for this time of year! Duarte personally welcomed us and always responded immediately to messages, so we had a great arrival. We would recommend it anytime and of course come back! 🤗

Beautiful cottage in the old town. It was super clean and left nothing to be desired. The balcony has sun until 2:00 PM in February and overlooks a mountain. As a welcome there was a huge fruit plate and fresh eggs from their own farm. Thank you! I felt comfortable in the place and house.

We chose to stay at Constantino’s stunning home as our last stop before leaving the beautiful island, and couldn’t have asked for a better base to end our time in Madeira. Constantino provided many local recs and was super responsive. The home was clean with everything we needed. Can’t say enough! Thank you!

Perfect stay! The place was clean and well equipped. The host was very accurate in location and chekin and super attentive. I recommend the place and if possible I will return again.

Amazing is the only way I can describe our stay at this beautiful lodging. Everything was perfect from the 4 en-suite bedrooms, the views, the cleanliness and communication with the hosts . We plan on coming back to Madeira and would definitely book again…

Easy communication and hassle-free check-in/out, great location close to several good restaurants, underground parking nearby, apartment well equipped, in the living area unfortunately relatively dark and no windows to the outside. However, roof terrace is beautiful and with a great view!

We had a great stay here (over the new year period). The apartment is great, was exactly as per the photos, descriptions and our expectations. Previous reviews we had read mention some noise, there is an element of that but for us it was nothing more than you would expect of any apartment centrally located in a bustling European city; probably more so when we were there as there is a fantastic festive atmosphere over the new year period. There are some fantastic restaurants nearby, we loved Akua and went there a few times during our stay and it is located on a street parallel to this apartment. The hosts of this AirBnB were especially thoughtful, probably the best we have ever come across over many years of using AirBnB. Very helpful, full of useful info and very quick to respond about any queries/advice. Recommend!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Smiling Petals. Claudia is an incredibly attentive host and made us feel right at home . The apartment was well appointed and spotless . The view was spectacular. We would highly recommend staying at Smiling Petals and hope to return !

Angela’s place was excellent, we stayed for a month and loved it. It felt like our holiday home and we loved coming back to it. The views from the balcony were stunning, you couldn’t ask for better. Lovely comfy bed and good shower. Cute little kitchenette with everything you needed to cook simple meals. Lots of good restaurants and coffee shops and supermarket nearby. Excellent bus service from the top of the road to Funchal and out to Camara de Lobos, Ribera Brava and beyond. A lovely man on the reception desk who was most helpful too. It was good to know that Angela and Tomos were available if we needed them. All in all a wonderful holiday, thank you.

Fantastic apartment in a great location. Ideal for a couple or someone travelling on their own. Spotlessly clean, easily accessible from a quiet street, in central area of Funchal, with a great view of the marina from both the bedroom and kitchen areas. Very comfortable bed, ample supply of towels and toiletries, as well as a welcome pack of local food on our arrival. Alex & Lucy were extremely helpful, organising airport transfers for us as well as being readily available for any queries we had. Apartment is in an ideal location, close to the marina, bus stops, tourist information kiosks, boats for dolphin & whale watching, tour buses, Funchal Cathedral, cable cars and many very good restaurants. Air conditioning was excellent and very welcome in the 25+degrees of summer sunshine. We would definitely stay here again. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this beautiful apartment. beautiful place. very clean and perfectly furnished. Claudia and her husband were super hosts, very accommodating, helpful and always there for us. A earlier check in was also made possible. couldn't have imagined a better airbnb in madeira.
