Apartment vacation rentals in Madeira Island

The apartment is a solid 8 out of 10! My friends and I had a wonderful 7-night stay here. The apartment is spacious, stylish, and overall very cool. The view deserves a special mention! Every evening we’d relax on the balcony, recapping the day while enjoying the stunning view of Funchal. That scenery is now etched in our memories. The apartment had almost everything we needed, though we did miss having a washing machine - that was a bit of a letdown. Also, there were a few too many artificial flowers for our taste. Having a parking spot was a great bonus, and the neighbourhood felt beautiful and unique. One small suggestion: blackout curtains in the bedrooms would really improve sleep, as it was quite bright in the mornings. It was also a little bit noisy at times due to nearby construction. had empty containers for shampoo and body wash. The location is nice - just a 1-minute walk from the shopping mall, super convenient. Overall, a lovely apartment we enjoyed staying in!

Catia’s place was absolutely beautiful. The views were unreal and the entire condo was beautifully decorated and incredibly clean. We loved our stay and could not recommend Catia’s condo more. ♥️

Very helpful hostess, quiet area away from busy Funchal. Amazing views, spacious apartment, super king size bed. Useful utility area with washing machine and drying area. Good cooking facilities. Enjoyed sitting on the balconies for breakfast and evening meals. Near bus stop and supermarket. We are fit 70yr olds so steep drive and stairs didn’t bother us.

Orlandina is a fantastic host, always quick to respond and providing all the necessary information well in advance. I felt very welcomed, and the apartment offers a stunning view. I never had any trouble finding parking and always felt secure in the area. Additionally, there was no noise from the neighbors. I would highly recommend Orlandina as a host.

One of the best Airbnbs we've ever stayed at! We absolutely loved our stay. This apartment is a dream – incredibly spacious, beautifully decorated with so much love and fully equipped with everything you need. The ocean view is breathtaking, and the location is wonderfully peaceful. Filip and his family live above, but you still have complete privacy with your own entrance. Filip is such a kind and helpful host – we received great tips about the area. His wife Renata surprised us with the most delicious cinnamon rolls we’ve ever tasted! The neighbor was also incredibly friendly and gifted us fresh bananas from his own garden. Renata and Filip went above and beyond to make our stay special – they even provided gifts and baby food for our little one. It’s clear that they put a lot of thought into making their guests feel welcome and comfortable. We can definitely recommend this place. If you have the chance to stay here, don’t hesitate – it’s a true gem!

I highly recommend this accomodation. The flat is very beautiful and in excellent location. Easy to walk to the city center but at the same time so quiet that birds singing were my „alarm” in morning :) there is also a coffe place downstairs so you can have a fresh coffee and bread everyday! Love it!

Super host - very responsive and provided excellent recommendations. Great location to explore on foot and by car. Parking no issue, and easy drive to airport. Apartment was tremendous. Balconies allowed us to have breakfast in the sun outside admiring the views. Walk into town about 15 mins down hill - not too strenuous. Lots of Ubers that were inexpensive, so easy to get about. We had x4 full days in Madeira which were full of activities. Palace Gardens and Levarda walks were excellent. Truly wonderful stay and would highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Marta’s place! It was so charming, clean and comfortable. The view was absolutely magical. We saw so many rainbows. The mountain view was so peaceful and calming. Marta’ s place was pristine, comfortable and well stocked. We highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Sao Vicente. A perfect stay. Marta was very responsive, welcoming and friendly.

Duarte was super kind and responsive. He got us parking and met us late at night when we arrived, and he gave us plenty of local recommendations. Ribiera Brava was a great place to stay, close enough to the city of Funchal and other activities but it’s its own little town with a black sand beach and walkable restaurants.

Such a great stay! Hosts were very responsive and helpful. The place was very clean and larger than expected, which was great! Awesome views of the water from the balcony as well! Would definitely recommend staying here!

We loved our stay at Marie’s place. The flat is exactly as shown in the photos. You feel right at home and have everything you could possibly ask for. The amazing terrace comes with an incredible view over the city and the ocean. The neighbourhood is quiet and super safe. Little bonus: Having to walk up the steep (typical Funchal-)hill to get to the apartment makes for the perfect excuse to indulge in an extra Pastel de Nata. ;)

Filipa was a great host and this is one of the best AirBnb’s we have stayed in. Great location, only a short walk into town and the area is surrounded by cafes, restaurants and a park just over the road. Great space with lots of attention to detail and very clean. We loved Funchal and will definitely be booking this accommodation again when we return. Thank you for such a great stay.

We are glad we booked at this spot! The balcony was wonderful to have and everything was clean. What stood out the most was our very responsive host making sure we got all checked in even while her car was broken down on the side of the road! Despite the emergency, she responded to all our messages promptly and helped us check in. I was extra grateful when I woke up extremely sick from some bad fruit the night before and we were allowed a late check out until I recovered! We even left one of our passports at check out and she made sure the staff kept it safe for us. Very helpful owners, would recommend.

Betty is the top host! She welcomed us with open arms. Very fast to respond, friendly and helpful! We were able to check out in the afternoon and enjoyed our last lunch at home before leaving for the airport. The view of the mountains is breathtaking at day and night time. The apartment is absolutely huge. It was our 3rd visit to Madeira with our elderly mum. She got beautiful bedroom with en suite bathroom and walk in shower. Betty also got an armchair for mum so she could relax on the balcony. We had such a comfortable and great stay! highly recommended!

upon arrival we were very well received by Ana. She explained everything to us and we were even able to arrive a little early at the apartment. She gave us tips for sightseeing, dining, and also told us the nearest supermarket. Ana was at her best!!! The apartment is perfect, there is everything you need even more than we imagined. Thank you for everything! We were able to fully enjoy this beautiful island. And Gabriel spent almost all his evenings in the pool 😄 thank you again from all 3 of us

It was a very nice apartment with a lovely terass and outside kitchen facilities. We were out and about during these days and didn't get to use the BBQ or the jacuzzi, and would recommend to stay here longer than two nights to make use of it all. To be clear, it is part of a family house but you barley notice them living next doors. An easy parking spot is included as well.

I really like it It is necessary to keep in mind only the path that Google Maps gives us but once we know the right way, nothing to point out!

Cristina was a wonderful host, always available with helpful tips and recommendations. The apartment was very clean and tidy, furnished, arranged and equipped in the best of taste. Stunning view, very quiet, even if very near to the expressway, and because of that perfect located to get everywhere easy and quick. Restaurants of all kind available within short driving time. Overall - very advisable!
