Apartment vacation rentals in Madeira

The place was great. The view from the beautiful terrace! Nuno is an extremely kind host. He responds quickly and gave us plenty of recommendations. The departure and arrival at the accommodation was made very simple and pleasant thanks to him. In addition, Ponta do sol is a very convenient place: a supermarket with gas station just down the village, great restaurants and the beach being a beautiful place to see the sunset. I can only recommend this place to stay in Madeira. It's been a real favorite!

This is a beautiful place! The pictures did not do it justice. It was open and spacious, we felt relaxed the minute we stepped in! We traveled with our 3 adult children and we had plenty of space. There were a lot of extra touches-fresh flowers, a cooler to use, swim towels, complimentary cake and wine, and blankets for use out on the patio. The parking was convenient as we rented a car for travel on the island. We took the path to town and wish we would have done this earlier to enjoy the beach. We really enjoyed our stay here, would definitely recommend it to everybody! Marta's gave us great advice on what we could do in the eara. When we had any questions she was quick to respond and give some tips. Great place to stay for your holiday!

The views from the apartment are spectacular. The area is quiet. However, if you are sensitive to noise while sleeping, it is better to sleep with the window closed. So you don't hear the morning traffic, and neither do the dogs and the rooster in the distant neighborhood. Julie is very helpful and always quick to help when you need something. She had brought pastries and Madeira to welcome them. Please note that the terrace is not connected to the apartment. That is, you have to first get out of the house and then onto the terrace. I was able to park the car comfortably on the property. I will miss the view! I can highly recommend the apartment.

Very helpful hostess, quiet area away from busy Funchal. Amazing views, spacious apartment, super king size bed. Useful utility area with washing machine and drying area. Good cooking facilities. Enjoyed sitting on the balconies for breakfast and evening meals. Near bus stop and supermarket. We are fit 70yr olds so steep drive and stairs didn’t bother us.

We had a lovely stay in Funchal and this flat was the perfect base. We had everything we needed and it was very quiet at night. The balcony gave a lovely view of Funchal, especially at night. The walk into the city was easy and getting in and out was by keypad, which seems to be standard in the area. We had an issue one morning with locking up and rang the number given for support. Problem resolved 10 minutes later! We would definitely stay again if back in Madeira. Thank you!!

Amazing stay! The house was fully equipped, clean, and had everything we needed. The views from every side were absolutely stunning. We couldn’t have asked for more — highly recommend :)

It was the most beautiful accommodation I’ve had since using Airbnb. Everything is spotless and clean, you feel like you’re the first person ever to stay there. The apartment has everything you need, and the products are high quality. Someone put a lot of love into this place, and you can really feel it. Highly recommended!

What can I say about this wonderful stay through Claudia and her villa. A favorite with stunning views of Ponta Do Sol. Claudia was very helpful from the beginning to the end of our stay and was also available for information. Always good advice and helpful, I highly recommend Claudia to be able to spend a stay in Madeira. Exceptional location that guarantees a good vacation, being close to all places of interest. I stayed four nights at the flat and very much enjoyed my stay. It is tastefully decorated, well appointed and remarkably quiet! The big floor cushion was a personal favourite to read at the end of the day. I was pleased to find everything I needed (including a few cooking basics like oil and salt, as well as laundry detergent, which is not always the case in some places). Took a few minutes to locate the washing machine. You will find it behind the door in the kitchen. Walking to Sé neighborhood, which I found to have the most interesting (and on a Sunday, open) restaurant options took about 20 minutes at a brisk pace, so a reasonable distance, but I was a bit discouraged at the hike back up the very steep hill at the end of long days, so I opted for the lazy solution of taking (cheap) Uber rides. Parking on the street is easy and so is accessing major roads to go East or West. Overall, a wonderful find that I recommend unreservedly.

We had a fantastic stay at this apartment. The view is truly stunning and the apartment has a beautiful balcony that you can sit and relax on. Apartment is in a good location - close to shops, restaurants and bars plus easy transport routes into Funchal. The rooftop communal pool is an excellent feature and great for a morning swim to start the day. Apartment was clean and had all the amenities that we needed - we appreciated the welcome gifts that were left waiting for us on arrival. Hosts are very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if I was to return to Madeira.

Super host - very responsive and provided excellent recommendations. Great location to explore on foot and by car. Parking no issue, and easy drive to airport. Apartment was tremendous. Balconies allowed us to have breakfast in the sun outside admiring the views. Walk into town about 15 mins down hill - not too strenuous. Lots of Ubers that were inexpensive, so easy to get about. We had x4 full days in Madeira which were full of activities. Palace Gardens and Levarda walks were excellent. Truly wonderful stay and would highly recommend.

Absolutely lovely stay at Carmina’s apartment. It was exactly as described and had such beautiful views and everything we needed. It was right by a big grocery store so that was very useful. There are nice local restaurants and beaches. The terrace is so lovely and spacious and we would definitely come again! Carmina was very helpful if we needed anything! Thank you!

What a lovely place! 😍 We were warmly welcomed by Gabriel who was always there for us. Communication with Janine was always good. All our questions were answered very quickly. The accommodation was perfectly fine, nothing to criticize. The cats on the premises were very sweet and we were always warmly welcomed by them. 🙂 Gabriel, Janine, thank you! Fantastic bnb, wonderfully spacious and equipped with every comfort. Nice wide bed, sunny terrace, fully equipped kitchen. Cozy decor. And absolutely perfect with the parking space in the garage. The bnb was close to the sea and the center of Funchal. We will definitely come back to Madeira and will stay here again.

We are glad we booked at this spot! The balcony was wonderful to have and everything was clean. What stood out the most was our very responsive host making sure we got all checked in even while her car was broken down on the side of the road! Despite the emergency, she responded to all our messages promptly and helped us check in. I was extra grateful when I woke up extremely sick from some bad fruit the night before and we were allowed a late check out until I recovered! We even left one of our passports at check out and she made sure the staff kept it safe for us. Very helpful owners, would recommend.

Betty is the top host! She welcomed us with open arms. Very fast to respond, friendly and helpful! We were able to check out in the afternoon and enjoyed our last lunch at home before leaving for the airport. The view of the mountains is breathtaking at day and night time. The apartment is absolutely huge. It was our 3rd visit to Madeira with our elderly mum. She got beautiful bedroom with en suite bathroom and walk in shower. Betty also got an armchair for mum so she could relax on the balcony. We had such a comfortable and great stay! highly recommended!

upon arrival we were very well received by Ana. She explained everything to us and we were even able to arrive a little early at the apartment. She gave us tips for sightseeing, dining, and also told us the nearest supermarket. Ana was at her best!!! The apartment is perfect, there is everything you need even more than we imagined. Thank you for everything! We were able to fully enjoy this beautiful island. And Gabriel spent almost all his evenings in the pool 😄 thank you again from all 3 of us

Great place! We loved the location, the flat had everything we needed, and the host was very kind. Perfect starting point for trips along the coast. We'd love to come back and stay longer next time :)

Excellent accommodation, swimming pool with stunning views, the jacuzzi is a must after a day of hiking. The hosts are also lovely and very friendly

Nice apartment to stay for a long holiday with beautiful views of Praira Formosa. Infinity pool, ample space, well equipped kitchen and washing machine. Free parking in the apartment's garage. The location was perfect being just outside of Funchal with easy access to ER 101. The apartment sits up on the hill with a short walk to the promenade; you can walk either towards Camara de Lobos or Funchal. Lots of restaurants on the promenade and on Estrada Monumental. There is a supermarket (Continente) just 2-3 blocks down the street from the apartment. The local host met us at the apartment to show us around. The apartment was clean and comfortable coming home after a day of hiking (purchase trail tickets 3E on Simplifica for all the PR# trails). A car is a must if you are going to hike and see Maderia. No Jacuzzi and gym is old and poorly equipped.

If I could, I would give to this accomodation and Patricia way more stars :) The flat is perfect. Great location, ocean view, everything was clean, nice and neat. Also those little, but big, details - dimmable light, extra fluffy blanket (not going to spoil more:) Watching stars while in jacuzzi.. Just awesome :) And Patricia is amazing host. Always quick answer, helpful, proactive, friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much and I will definitely book this place again, if we ever come back :)
