House vacation rentals in Madeira

The villa was beautiful - stunning location - and perfectly furnished. Lovely walk to Ponta do Sol village but the walk back is not for the faint hearted - Bolt is available :-) Whilst there were a few teething issues on arrival, Rita was super responsive and helpful in sorting any problems and our stay was great. It was a lovely stay in a stunning villa with amazing views and we would love to come back.

I can't express how beautiful and peaceful this place was. It was worth every penny, you don't have to worry about anything. Everything is so well equipped, so clean, swimming pool with amazing views to Funchal. I come to Madeira every summer and it was at its best. I had my parents first time here and they absolutely loved it too. Maria was very kind and helpful from the time we booked the place. Hopefully to come back soon again.

This was by far the best AirBnB we’ve ever stayed in. Antonio was so helpful from the very beginning (he sent lots of info ahead of our arrival), made sure we could check in in the morning after our early flight and welcomed us personally at his lovely house with pool and all amenities one could look for (specifically in the kitchen and bathrooms, where we found all types of equipment, shampoo, tissues etc). The beds were comfortable, the view was stunning. We were a group of 6 and enjoyed cooking together (particularly barbecuing outdoors), but the house offered many peaceful corners for each of us to relax in, too. We also really appreciated Antonio‘s recommendations for hikes and other things to do on the island. Thanks a lot for everything!!

This place is awesome! Elvio is the best host. Clear instructions and directions (it’s a tricky place to find) but his instructions were perfect. The pool is private and a good home base after lots of hiking. We recommend hiking as early as possible and going back to enjoy the pool later. The restaurant up the mountain from the house is amazing (Calheta Green). And a recommendation from the host. Love this place!

We absolutely LOVED our stay here! The house is extremely clean and matches the pictures perfectly. We even had freshly stocked groceries when we arrived which was a huge plus after 3 long flights. This location is so close to many delicious restaurants and the beach. We absolutely loved the pool and sun bed. 10/10 recommend!!! We already want to plan another trip back 🩷 THANK YOU!

We met Hugo, who is super friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help answer questions regarding the home or recommendations for activities and restaurants in Madeira. The home is as described and as shown in the photos - completely clean and beautifully decorated with everything you need for a holiday in a quiet setting. A great stay that I can only recommend others, too.

The space was beautiful. We loved the decor and the large doors that brought brightness with a view of the beautiful courtyard with the pool. We were hosted very well by a very good host. What a nice touch! Susana also gave us several restaurant recommendations and communication was great. It took 8 minutes to drive to the city center. We found all the essentials to cook well. The accommodation was clean, but I can't ignore the shower. There was mold and, personally, despite the scent that had been added, I found the smell of dampness and mold unpleasant. Everything else was impeccable!

From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed by Fernando. The villa is situated in a beautiful and quiet location, offering amazing views and a lovely pool that's perfect for cooling down. You can really feel the warm hospitality of the host right away. During our stay, we had a small issue with the toaster, and Fernando replaced it immediately — a great example of his attentiveness and care. We had a peaceful and relaxing time, and I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a serene getaway. Please note that the ascent to the house is quite steep, but this is completely normal given the island's topography — and the views are well worth it! Highly recommended. Great host, very quick to respond. Great accommodation, very clean and tidy and so nice to have the pool. Very hilly, nice walk down into town but would recommend getting an uber or bolt back to the apartment. It’s only 5 minutes and €5 for the trip.

Beautiful, newly renovated place. Pleasing and soothing colors. Fabulous view and ocean sound. Excellent water pressure (best shower of the four places we stayed!) and very comfortable bed. Like so much of Portugal, narrow and somewhat steep stairs, but not problematic. Easy walk to market and restaurants. Short drives (20 minutes) to lots of hiking, and about a 35 minute drive to Funchal. We had a great time here, and highly recommend for a couple!

We had an amazing time at this beautiful apartment. Every morning, waking up to the stunning views over Funchal and the ocean was a real treat. The apartment itself is stylishly designed and as someone who appreciates architecture and interior design, this apartement is a great choice.

A very peaceful and private place to stay in Sao Vicente. Being spacious and having great views makes it a perfect place to rest between activities. Beds are comfortable and closets are fantastic. There was port, fruit, and cake waiting for us, which was a welcoming touch. It is about a 35 min drive to Funchal and closer to an hour to get to and from the airport. Less than hr to elsewhere on the island. Notes: 1) Access: To get to the restaurants and shops is a steep climb with stairs or road, so be prepared to drive down or get some exercise :) 2) Parking and layout: The gated 2-car port is on the roof of the home and is at the end of the street where there is viewpoint parking. It may be a little tight getting in and out if there are cars. You go down 1 floor to get to the bedrooms and one more floor to get to the living room/kitchen and pool. 3) Shopping: There is a grocery with long hours down at the shoreline (10 min walk). Carlos is a very good host. The house is beautiful with all the amenities that make you feel at home and on vacation at the same time. The location is very good to easily reach all activities in the north of the island. A quiet location overlooking the sea with very beautiful sunsets. Looking forward to the next visit to Carlos' place.

The stay was amazing, Jose was very cooperative and helped when we needed things to be fixed or done. He helped us check in very smoothly despite our flight being delayed. He is an amazing host, and the house is incredible.

Carla was a wonderful host! She provided detailed instructions, was responsive to our questions, and the apartment was very well appointed. The kitchen had everything you could need! Enjoying coffee on the deck, overlooking the water, was an unforgettable experience.

Absolutely stunning stay! The views were like something out of a postcard—so picturesque, we almost didn’t want to leave. The house was spotless, and every detail was thought of: towels, blankets, shampoo, even spare wood for the outdoor barbecue. There’s AC in every room (though we didn’t need it), plus a washer, dryer, and plenty of supplies like soap and dishwasher pods. The host was incredibly responsive and attentive at all hours. The garage was a bonus, especially in the rainy weather, giving us extra comfort. The area itself is very peaceful and quiet, yet only a short 7-8 minute drive to cafes, restaurants, and shops. If I ever return to Madeira, this is where I’ll stay—no question.

We had a lovely stay in Madeira at this property. Lovely facilities throughout the place, with the pizza oven, jacuzzi and the hammock (our favourite) all very nice additions to the property which were thoroughly enjoyed during our stay. We opted not to heat the pool but the temperature was fine to swim in anyway! In terms of location the area is very peaceful and scenic however at the cost of activities often being a slightly further drive. We did not find this to be an issue throughout our stay however! Definitely recommend renting a car if staying here!

So most of the things were as described. the bathroom smell was resolved once opened up everything to air out. Parking was a issue a few times but we were gone most of the days driving the island. When we returned we had parking. Our critical thing but not huge was bed frame is a bit squeaky so when I would move wold wake my wife. and with jet lag was a issue not being back to sleep. The tricky thing to get in is key correct orientation. The little dot/bump on the key is to be in the 12 o'clock position, then like a commercial lock turn full rotations to have bolts open. this was a little tricky first time in the dark. other than that we had a fantastically good time here and would highly recommend for those that love the sea air and waves putting you to sleep. one more thing the restaurant nearby does party on Sat nite till 2am hahaha but we knew that as well.

Villa Panorama is an amazing place to relax and to visit Madeira. The photos reflect well, is very comfortable place, views to the ocean are stunning, and equiped with everything you need. For a family of five, as we are, it was perfect experience. Location, while a little far from Funchal, is well connected and great to visit the multiple amazing locations of the island. There are groceries close by, even in Sunday we could find open places at 6 min from the Villa. Especially great are the hosts. Rui and João Carlos are extremely responsive and friendly, and they make everything easy and well organised. We would definitively come back again and we highly recommend Villa Panorama without doubt.

Wonderful base for Madeira; away from the main tourist accommodations so felt like a home away from home. Close enough to walk into Funchal (maybe get the bus back as it’s basically up hill all the way). Sao Martinho was about 30-60mins walk/10 min drive (further towards coast) downhill, so depending on fitness maybe a bit longer as some uphill. Close enough to local eateries and a supermarket. The accommodation had everything we needed. The hosts were lovely, responsive and very helpful! We appreciated them staying in touch whilst we were there via Whats App. We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here for part of our honeymoon.. it was AMAZING! By far our favorite stay. The views are immaculate, the host was helpful, and the washer was a huge plus. The host provided us with lots of recommendations for restaurants and poncha. We hope to come back!
