Arco da Calheta vacation rentals

We spent 20 days there and everything was perfect from start to finish. Maria and her husband were very helpful, generous with their advice, fruits from their garden and even cake :) We enjoyed the beautiful grounds and the large vegetable garden and the beautiful sunsets. Everything inspires calm and the sweetness of life. Pure happiness :) The location is really perfect: beautiful beaches and hikes within walking distance and the small village of Arco de Calheta nearby is super pretty. We had the pleasure of attending a beautiful and friendly village party! Thank you for everything :)

Communication with the manager Marisela has always worked very well. Very friendly and helpful. The house is beautiful, according to the pictures. High-quality furnishings. Parking spot in front of the house. Easy key handover by key safe. It may be noted in the cold season that the house has no heating (even not the air conditioning). For us, it was just enough warm in the house. The lower floor with table tennis and pool table gave us great joy. Especially the young people loved to spend their evenings here. How nice!

Great place right next to the seaside with what feels like a private patio/pathway on the back. Very spacious with rooms on 3 different levels, all with a lovely seaside view 🌅

I had a wonderful experience at this accommodation. The apartment was cozy, spacious, and beautifully maintained—perfect for a relaxing stay. Everything was clean and comfortable, and I felt right at home. Highly recommended!

The apartment and views are much nicer in real life than in the pictures. Very cozy apartment and the hosts are very likeable. We recommend the place to anyone who wants to have a breathtaking view and picturesque sunsets. In addition, the communication was friendly and we quickly felt at home. Kitchen is well equipped and bathroom as well.

Great views and a lot of privacy is what definitely sets this place apart. A host who not only responds to messages, but also cares about how the stay is and if anything is missing. I recommend!

Perfect little picturesque village, one of the best in Madeira! Very easy to travel around the island if you have a car The villa is really modern, with everything you need The host is really friendly and helpful We loved the welcoming gift and the fact that you could get drinking water in the villa, so no need to buy plastic bottles The bed is comfy too, with awesome huge comforter! The terrace is amazing for breakfast outside! The only tiny drawback is probably the pool It is heated, but still only comfortable to swim in sunny weather, late evening it’s too cold + the distance from our unit to the pool was quite long (up the stairs + all the way round the house)

We stayed 2 nights in Funchal to start our trip in Madeira. Carlos' apartment was the perfect location, situated in the middle of the city scene. We had a couple questions about the city and the bnb during our time, and the host was very detailed and fast to response. We felt as though we could stop by the apartment several times a day between our itinerary's events in Funchal! Would definitely recommend!

Check in was easy and smooth, communication was very good from the host. We really did feel like we could lean on them if we wanted anything. Very nice and helpful. House was generally very clean and we had a great time there. Big dinner tables for family meals both inside and out and a nice little breakfast bar. Pool was well maintained and kept clean. Kitchen is pretty much stocked with everything you'd need. Only downside I would say is that the garage would've been too small for the original car we had hired, thankfully we ended up getting a hatchback rather than an SUV. The tight roads would've also been an issue for inexperienced drivers. Not a deal breaker though, the house was very nice and spacious otherwise.
