So happy to return to this wonderful accommodation! Amanda is incredibly thoughtful and great with communication. The area is fantastic - a quiet, private, lovely location - yet within blocks of bustling Bruntsfield and Morningside, with so many great shops and restaurants and an easy bus ride to all parts of Edinburgh. And nothing beats the view of Arthur’s Seat when walking through the nearby Meadows. Looking forward to staying again!

Loved sitting outside on the bench in the evening and watching the sunset. The breakfast bundle was fab and the cake was lovely. A great location to explore Northumberland. Hilltop cottage

RichardRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This place is absolutely amazing! The views out the window are beautiful, and you're treated to all sorts of wildlife around you. We had a lot of baby bunnies running around in the garden which were very cute. The accommodation is exactly as described - it's not mega fancy but it's incredibly cosy and has everything you need for a nice stay away. We walked up Rubers Law nearby which is definitely worth doing - there are amazing views from the top and the woods are quite atmospheric around it. We only met Andy and he was very warm and welcoming and very lovely. I'd really recommend this place if you're looking to get away from everything!

Charming stone Bothy at Loch Lomond

AnnRating, 5 stars1 week ago
First timers in Scotland. Fiona’s Bothy was so quintessentially Scottish and so cozy. It evoked the private remote stone sanctuary we have dreamed of. A patterns of rain on the roof our first night led to beautiful deep sleep for both. There’s a fine farm stand down the A82 so we cooked delicious breakfast before climbing Conic Hill in Balhama - it rained a wee bit at the top - so our visit was perfect! Thank you Fiona. Your hospitality is the best and you’ve given us fine memories for our 35th anniversary.

We had the best time staying in Shep - such quirky accommodation, with everything you could need. The kids especially loved the raised sleeping area and bathroom set up! The views were spectacular, it was so peaceful and we just felt really relaxed. Thoroughly enjoyed BBQing with the Eildon Hills for a view. Chris and family were super welcoming and we really enjoyed exploring the farm. Thanks for having us - we can’t wait to visit again!

Gorgeous cosy cabin with magical river garden

ThomasRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Sharon's charming, wee cabin was such a delight! From the cozy interior complete with everything we might need to the outdoor patio nestled right next to a fast moving river, it was delightful. The first night we sat out on the patio with cocktails and snacks and took in the beauty of the area. Simply stunning! We had rented the cabin for three nights and on the second night my husband, Tom, had a heart event. Sharon quickly called for an ambulance and stayed with us until after the EMT's arrived to take us to a hospital 30 miles away. We were to check out the next day, but she offered for us to stay the next two nights if needed. Then when Tom and I decided to fly back to the states to have the needed heart procedures, she and her husband, Ian, spent an entire afternoon helping us to arrange taxis, air flights and other logistics. They both went far and above what would ever be expected of hosts. Our gratitude for their kindness and hospitality runs deep. Thanks Sharon and Ian!

Restored Pump House - 6 miles from Perth

GailRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The Pumphouse - WOW, this place is amazing. Annette's directions are spot on and I found the place no problem. Massive parking area, easily big enough for 2 large cars. The grounds are idyllic, quiet and wonderful views from the decking area. Sitting area - the sofa and chair are so comfortable. Underfloor heating is great and I didn't need to use the log burner. Kitchen is very well equipped - everything you could need and more. Instructions for everything on QR codes which is really helpful. The bedroom with the ladder is so quirky but what a fantastic use of space. The bed itself and the pillows were great. I slept like a log both nights. Shower room is really nice, powerful shower and plentiful towels. Really liked the bathrobes! The Pumphouse makes a great base for hiking or biking in Perthshire, it's easy to get to being only 5 miles from Perth. Can't rate this place highly enough, I'd give it 10 stars if I could! I'll definitely be back!

A beautiful place for a stop off in St Fillians, I cannot recommend The Bothy enough. It is presented beautifully with all the amenities needed and in such a great spot! If you need a place to stay in this area you should strongly consider here! Pamela, the host, is very responsive, friendly and even went above and beyond with a little treat for my partners birthday. The homemade bread is a lovely touch too! Thank you to Pamela (and Gordon) for the stay and if we are ever back in the area we will be back! X

The swimming lake nearby was so beautiful I proposed to my partner on one of the boats! Katie was a great host and responsive throughout. Soaking in the hot tub was a welcome treat after a long drive from Cornwall. We’ll certainly be back in the future as this place now holds some great memories for us.

The Good Shepherd's Hut, Kyloe (Sea view log fire)

LauraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The Shepherd's Hut is an absolute gem. We loved our stay there. It is peaceful, private, has everything you could possible need and has the added bonus of the most stunning views. We sat and watched the sunset to the west each evening while admiring the sea views to the east. The hut is well kitted out but feels spacious. And we loved having such friendly chickens as neighbours. Already planning our next trip.

The Nest, Garabhan Forest, Loch Lomond

SamRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Idyllic location with great views of the surrounding landscape, loch and animals including deer. The nest was perfectly sized for the two of us and was nice and cosy. We were lucky and had glorious weather so made use of the veranda to sit out and read our books. We cooked every night in the kitchen and it was adequately stocked for what we needed. We would definitely return and were sad to leave. Thanks for a great stay!
