Vacation home rentals in Lothian

This is a great little property which suited our needs as a base for our trip to Fife. Easily accessible to the road network with stunning sea views to wake up to. The property was extremely comfortable and offered everything we needed by way of amenity. Would happily book again when next we visit the area.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for our little break away. We all loved the surrounding, so beautiful and picturesque. Had a walk around the gardens to meet the chickens, geese, peacocks and saw the horses, cows and sheep on our walk. Deer was also visible across from the farm in the open part of the forest. The house itself has everything you need and is spacious and comfortable. After busy days of visiting tourist attractions (lots of castles) we enjoyed relaxing in the living room with the log burner fire on and we played games with the kids. Games are provided and we also brought our own favourites, which was great for the rainy evenings. Getting there was easy following sat nav and was well signed the closer you got there. Rebecca was friendly and quick to respond, an excellent host and everyone that we met on the farm was so friendly. Checking in and out was a breeze as well. Would absolutely recommend for long and short stays and we hope to visit again.

We spent a lovely few days at Fiona’s place between Christmas and New Year with family. House was an excellent venue for us to relax and enjoy the surrounding area. Would not hesitate to return or recommend.

The place is so big it could accommodate max 20 people i supposed. Very clean, tidy and so comfortable. The host, Mr Jon, is very kind and friendly. He’s allowed early check-in at 8 in the morning with worthy charges of £60. Overall, the place is highly recommended especially for a large group of people/family.

Wonderful location with many places to visits. Great cabin with lovely hot tub, well equipment and very clean& neighbour are very friendly too. The place of scenery is breathe taking, right next to the lake, hearing the water flow on the night and morning is very relaxing. Diane is a very lovely responsive host & organised, I'd definitely recommend and will be back if heading back this way. Thank you so much, I hope your business grows on, best wishes!

Lovely clean accomodation. Great facilities and as described. Private entrance backed into a wee garden which was nice. The spare bed wasn't made up as there was an assumption my friend and I would share the double so best to ask for this in advance. The lighting is also a little harsh although there are bedside lamps next to the double bed. Thank you for a great stay.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Fieldhead. The house itself is so picturesque and is beautifully situated on the moors. The hosts provided very clear instructions for when we arrived and we settled in straight away. The house was beautifully clean and well appointed with lots of thoughtful touches to make our stay a really relaxing one. We found the recommendations for local pubs and restaurants particularly helpful and enjoyed lots of yummy meals out. The location really is wonderful for walking and we spent some very happy days exploring with our dog. Thank you for making it such a great break, we’d love to come back! For fellow dog owners- we brought our Labrador with us and the set up worked brilliantly. The house is pretty surrounded by livestock, but there’s an enclosed garden at the front of the house so we could let her out without any worries. We found some great walks from the door too.

Our third stay at the Carthouse and it couldn't have been better - the property is immaculate as always - well stocked with everything you could need. Lee was fantastic, made the property cosy for us on arrival and was great for local recommendations and taxi booking! Thank you very much - and see you next year!

Great stay at the Coach House for birthday celebration.

Had a lovely time. The space was cosy, clean and had everything you needed for a refreshing break amongst some wonderful scenery. The personal touches from Robert and Sue make this stay stand out from other bnbs.

My friend and I had a wonderful stay in Maria’s lovely cottage. The location was perfect as we were visiting friends in the area . Maria responded to messages immediately and was very warm and welcoming. Information sheet in the cottage was very helpful and Maria gave local guidance on restaurants etc. She supplied milk, coffee and lots of treats. One of the best hosts I have met.

The Hoolet provided us with the perfect space to have a lovely family Christmas. Squeaky clean throughout. House was cozy and warm. Would love to visit again.

Delightful location with a lovely garden leading to Lade Braes footpath to town. Handy bus stops and bus station nearby. Great base for Fife Coastal path walks. Warm, comfortable, well equipped accommodation.

The accomadation matched all photos and description on listing. We enjoyed staying here, it was very relaxing and well located to explore galloway forest park. The house is easy to find, check in and very spacious and light. It was a good base as well as cosy place to spend an evening. We would stay again.

We had a fabulous time at the Old Barn, the view of the lake from the sofa and the decking area is incredible! We spent hours looking out across the valley. Laura and Ronnie were really welcoming and friendly. Greetings from Bertie the dog was also a bonus. Would definitely recommend. See you next time, Laura and Ronnie!

Peaceful location with beautiful views. Great walks on the doorstep. The lodge is lovingly decorated and there were lovely touches like fresh flowers and a homemade cake. Olly left great instructions and recommendations.
