Bernie and Nicola appreciate your privacy but also are very responsive if you have any questions for them. The accommodations were as advertised and I definitely will be a repeat customer.

We greatly enjoyed our 3 nights stay at John’s B&B. We liked the tasteful decoration, the facilities, the cleanliness and the space which was perfectly adequate for two adults. There is a bedroom on the first floor which was fine for us but access will be a challenge for those with reduced mobility. The beds were very comfortable. The provision of basic breakfast items was most welcome. Anstruther’s harbour is only a 5 minute walk away from where you can start walking the Fife Coastal Path in both directions ie to Pittenweem and to Crail (we did both). John was a most friendly host who provided us with lots of suggestions of what to do and where to go for a meal. I’m sure we will return.

Loved staying here. The host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Place was clean and tidy. 5 stars!!!

Balmuir House Apartment is a gem! Very clean. Very comfortable. Everything we needed to feel right at home for a month. The hosts were friendly, kind, prompt in responses, and just genuinely nice people! It quickly becomes evident when you speak with the hosts how important it is to them that you enjoy staying in Balmuir House. This was a great place from which to explore various areas of Scotland such as: Glen Doll/Corrie Fee, Balmoral Castle, Cairngorms National Park, St. Andrews, Carnoustie, Fraserburgh, and many beaches. Also, easy to catch a train into Edinburgh from the Leuchers Station just across the Tay Bridge from Dundee.

Jennifer’s place was perfect for our stay in Edinburgh for a wedding at Dundas castle. The apartment was very clean and bright, the kitchen had everything we needed, and there was easy access to Edinburgh Castle. There were great restaurants on the water with views of the bridge’s. Jennifer was quick to respond to my questions and our check-in was flexible. I would definitely recommend a stay in this beautiful apartment!

Great little oasis! Just a few minutes walk to the beach as well as shops, restaurants, train, and bus station. Lots of great choices within walking distance. Nice quiet neighbourhood. Accommodation was cosy and clean. And Julie is a very friendly and helpful host available as needed!

Aileens place is brilliant, exactly as described. She was so helpful during my stay. Would recommend to anyone.

Lindsey was a thoughtful host and provided clear information before checking in. We really liked the digital accommodation manual, which provided everything we could need to know and local area recommendations. The accommodation was very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. There is also a lovely garden space to sit in. The location is ideal as it’s situated within a few minutes walking distance to Dunbar High Street and the Harbour. Would recommend to anyone visiting Dunbar!

Really loved my stay at Abigail's place. Made to feel very welcome with the lovely basket of goodies and could have sat at the beautiful picture window looking into the garden all day! Abigail super helpful and accommodating with checking-in and checking-out also. Thank you for helping to make my stay in Glasgow so comfortable 🙂

We really enjoyed our stay. The Airbnb was really clean and cozy. The apartment instructions were very helpful, and the host was very responsive. We would fully recommend!

When we arrived Scott was there to point out a few recommendations for local food shops/takeaways which were brilliant. He also pointed out how to work the hot tub.Both Jennifer and Scott were extremely friendly and down to earth, the view is amazing and the amazing weather certainly helped this.I would definitely think about going back at some point, thanks again for a lovely stay.

Lovely accommodation! Duncan is a fantastic host, very welcoming and clear communication. Checking in with us throughout our stay, offering to pick us up if we got caught in the rain. The accommodation is beautiful and the attention to detail is lovely. The view and the surroundings are beautiful. Easy to walk to if you’re coming by train. I’ve stayed in many hotels and Airbnbs and I have to say this stands out, a true gem.

I’ve stayed in many Airbnb’s over the years and Peter’s place may be my all-time favorite. Beautiful property, very comfortable home, and the hospitality was unlike anything I’ve experienced before. Very grateful to have found this gem, and would highly recommend. Just make sure to follow Peter’s directions rather than Apple Maps, or you may drive past it.

Lovely little place very handy for concerts etc at Murrayfield. The apartment is spacious and well maintained, very clean and comfortable - exactly what you need for a couple of nights. Janet is a lovely hostess. Very friendly and welcoming upon arrival. She was really helpful with directions to the stadium and recommendations for the area - the Brass Monkey pub is great. She added little extras in the room like bread and butter and jam if you like a bit of toast for breakfast it’s perfect. Plenty tea and coffee and milk in the fridge too. She also allows you to use her kitchen if you do want to cook anything - we didn’t use it but thought it was a very kind gesture given it’s her private home.

Wonderful!Great communication and easy to follow instructions.Check in was extremely easy and we were welcomed with very thoughtful touches in the fridge- thankyou. The location was perfect for our trips to Troon,Ayr and the ferry to the Isle of Arran. The house was immaculate,light and airy and very comfortable.We had a super stay.

The weather was perfect and gave Prestwick an advantage, but it has a great vibe and stands out from other seaside towns nearby. The beach is on the doorstep and Angela’s place is so spacious. Lovely.

Loved it here! It was peaceful, warm and comfortable. Host was really helpful, and friendly,giving us ideas for walks. The Hayloft had lovely little extras, flowers on the table, yummy shortbread and even a touch of whiskey! A really well thought out book was there to give us the run down of walks, hikes, the village other things around. Aberfoyle is a beautiful little village, with all you might need or want. We wanted to stay longer!

We absolutely loved our 3 night stay in this oldie worldie, unusual, full of character, spotless, home from home. Wonderfully squidgy couches to sink into, extremely comfortable beds, probably one of the best equipped kitchens we have had the privilege of using in all of the Airbnb's we have stayed in. One of the first things I look for when searching for a place to stay is the size of the beds then the cleanliness, then the reviews in general - Corrie didn't disappoint. Fabulously comfortable king size beds, snowy white linen (yes I am fussy) The home gave you a cuddle! A wonderfully peaceful place to unwind, chill out and relax. Andy was a through gentleman who was amusing, informative with great ideas of where to go what to do. He was always there but totally unobtrusive. Would I recommend Corrie? A positive 101%. If we are ever in the area again this will be first on the list of our bookings. Thank you Andy for a great stay.

what can I say. This is an absolute gem. such a peaceful quite retreat. the photos don't do any justice the wildlife running around the grounds was lovely and Rebecca was so responsive to my needs even though she was on holiday. Would definitely stay again A+

Lucy and Henry are exemplary hosts, who go above and beyond to make sure that you are comfortable, well fed, (home-made bread was a special touch), and have everything that you might need. The bedrooms were of a very high standard, the huge range of tea/coffee/hot chocolate, plus truffles and biccy treats all added to the great sense of care. I cannot recommend this "Place to Be" strongly enough. Go for the hospitality, the luxurious bedroom touches, the views from the windows, the calm environment, the amazing local walks, the sea air, and go home feeling that you actually do not want to leave. I would also mention, and strongly recommend, booking a massage with Lucy. She is a very experienced and knowledgable therapist, who mended my own aches and pains with her incredible abilities. A Place To Be is a very special place, go and discover it yourself!
