Chic and stylish, the apartment has been renovated throughout. The two-bedroom apartment is beautifully decorated with a mix of vintage and modern pieces. It's a cosy space to relax and enjoy as your home from home. The apartment is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There's space for 4 to sleep - two double bedrooms. We provide freshly laundered towels and bedding. The kitchen is well stocked and has all the pots and pans you might need to cook up some haggis and tatties for dinner! There's a table that seats four so plenty of room to dine in. We supply teas and coffee for the cafetière, and cereals and bread for breakfast. The adjoining sitting room is stylishly decorated with artwork from local artists and treasures found in vintage shops in Edinburgh and from our travels in Asia and the Middle East. The sofa is great to snuggle in if you want to relax at "home" after a busy day in the city. There's also TV with Netflix and a good wifi connection. The flat is warm and cosy and has gas central heating throughout for those cold Edinburgh winters! The bathroom comes with sink, toilet, bath and shower, and plenty of hot water. We supply plenty of fluffy towels and toiletries. It's on the third floor and up some stairs, but the apartment is worth it when you get here! The flat is on one level and our baby wanders about the apartment quite happily. Guests access the apartment via a traditional entrance hall and stairwell on Holyrood Road, just minutes from the Royal Mile. We're on the third floor, up some stairs. Lucy will send you lots of information about the apartment and be on hand to answer all your questions. We have ideas for the best restaurants or where to take the kids for a day trip. We have a keybox for your arrival so we’re flexible about your arrival time. The apartment is in the heart of the Old Town in Edinburgh, which is picturesque, charming, and full of beautiful architecture. It’s moments away from the Royal Mile which stretches from Holyrood Palace to Edinburgh Castle. We're about 10 minutes walk from Waverley Train station so you can carry your bags if you're feeling sprightly, or it's a short cab ride away. If you fly to Edinburgh Airport, you can take a cab or tram or bus (airline 100) to the city centre, and it's a short distance away. http://www.edinburghairport.com/transport-links/trams 
 You can take the tram from the airport and get off by Waverley Station and it's a 9-minute walk away. 
 It will take you about an hour door to door to get the airline 100 bus from the airport to the flat, and that includes walking to the flat from Waverley. There's a big multi-storey car park opposite and you can pay £16 to park for 24 hours. We are so close to the centre you can manage without a car while in the city. If you want to go off and explore there is weekend parking for free on side streets just off Holyrood. We provide a high chair, cot and a few toys for the wee one CHECK IN: Check in time is from 2pm but we can usually be flexible depending if we have guests staying with us the night before. Please try to give as much notice as possible with your arrival time and keep us posted on the day of travel with any changes or delays. Thanks! Check out is usually 11am, but if there's no one checking in after you then we can be much more flexible.

Walk along the Royal Mile from an Elegant Apartment

The property dates from 1790 but has been sympathetically upgraded. The wonders of the Edinburgh Festival and Fringe are right on your doorstep, or, if you prefer, close the door and people watch from your bedroom or living room which look straight on to the Royal Mile. You really couldn't get a better position to enjoy the Castle, the Palace, Arthurs Seat or the wonders of the Old Town of Edinburgh. Entire property. I will be in the local area and always on hand if you have a question or an issue. Set in the heart of Old Town, the flat is steps away from the vibrant boutiques, craft shops, pubs, and restaurants that line the area’s quaint streets and alleyways. It’s an ideal stepping off point for visiting many museums and historic sites. This apartment is based on the Royal Mile where tour buses leave on a regular basis as do taxis and local buses. Walking is the name of the game in such a central location! Transport in from the Airport can be by bus or tram and both stops are a 5 minute walk up the hill to the flat.

Steps off the Royal Mile, comfortable 2 bed flat

The apartment is very central and safe, just steps off the Royal Mile within the Old Fishmarket by St Giles cathedral. Just 5 minutes walk to top attractions such as the Museum of Scotland, the National Gallery, Festival theatre and the Castle. Waverley station, the Meadows , George Street and the New Town beyond are easy walks away too. Great for sightseers, old and young and is NOT a party flat. My family use the apartment when working in Edinburgh and so it is more a second home than a hotel.
