Cabin vacation rentals in Locarno District

We had a truly wonderful stay at Ca Pedrot! The cabin is super cozy, we loved the sauna, and the views are fantastic. We loved the little touches like nice bed linens and towels and luxury soaps. There's an extensive range of pots/pans, cooking utensils, etc. The cabin has plenty of privacy. It's also is on a nice snowshoe path, for winter visits. We were particularly impressed by Andy, the host, who was super communicative, got the fire going in the wood stove for us because we were arriving in the evening, gave us pointers for using the cable car and finding the cabin in the dark. True hospitality! Can't wait to go back.

Wir hatten eine wirklich schöne Zeit im Chalet. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Luana war eine sehr gute Gastgeberin. Die hat stets und sehr schnell auf Anfragen reagiert und war sehr entgegenkommend und hilfreich. Vielen herzlichen Dank Luana :)

Exceptional host, exceptional place! We loved our stay in Wild Field Lodge and, as hosts ourselves, greatly appreciated the thoughtful amenities available throughout the property. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids under 5, and so it’s tricky to find accommodations that are actually relaxing, let alone loaded with toys and kid entertainment. This place is serene, fun, well equipped, and beautiful. The host’s communication and generosity were outstanding. You can feel the love invested in this property, and that makes for a very special life experience. Highly recommend!

Wenn man Ruhe braucht, ist es mega. Sehr rustikal und speziell. Uns hat es sehr Spass gemacht. Vielleicht nicht für Jedermann, weil es etwas Eigenverantwortung braucht und man sollte schon ein Naturmensch sein, der sich geschickt anstellt. Traumhafte lage und Wandermöglichkeiten vor der Tür. Sehr gute Preisleistungsverhältnis und der Kontakt mit den Besitzern war immer freundlich, zuvorkommend und interessiert.

Het huisje is prachtig gelegen. 10 minuten met de auto de berg op vanuit Brissago. Uitzicht over het meer is geweldig en grote tuin en fijn terras. Wij waren er met de kerst en het woongedeelte kan alleen verwarmd worden met de open haard. Op koude dagen ben je veel hout aan het stoken dat je zelf moet kopen. Gezellig is het wel! Op de slaapkamers hangen elektrische kachels, maar die hebben wij nauwelijks gebruikt, slaapkamers hebben wij graag koel. Genoeg te beleven vanuit de locatie; mooie hikes dichtbij, wintersport op 1 uur a 1,5 uur rijden in bv Carì, Andermatt of Bosco / Gurin. Wij hebben een heerlijke week gehad met veel zon!

Had a wonderful stay: so so so beautiful, the uniqueness of the house and its view, the surroundings, hiking trails... all very peaceful Will defenitively come back! thank you Aldo for picking me up and bringing me back to brissago with the car ( came with public transport from Lugano) I wanted to walk with my bags and groceries from the village to the house, but Aldo insisted to bring me. Aldo is a super host and does everything to make your stay even more comfortable! Through him i got to know a little bit more about the history of the house as well, which makes it even more special Wow !

It was a dreamlike experience - truly a place I could only dream about. Absolutely private, silent, and secluded - we spent New Year's Eve there and didn’t see a single person around. The views, the silence, the mountains - everything was perfect. The hosts, Joe and Kya, were amazing. Super friendly, helpful, and responsive. They even helped carry our belongings up the mountain before check-in and back to the car on the morning of January 1st (!). Such kind people! I cannot fail to mention the heartwarming welcome pack with food, sweets, wine, and even treats for our dog, which made us feel so welcome. Even though we visited early in the season, we had so much fun sledding, hiking (with our dog everywhere), relaxing in the cozy house, and enjoying the sauna - followed by jumping into the snow afterward. So you have a lot to do :) Highly recommend it to anyone looking to escape the hustle and truly enjoy the mountains!

The place was beautiful and the location completely peaceful and in nature. We were a group of 5 people and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the chalet. We cooked meals there, played boardgames. It was a really nice experience and Eveline was so friendly to correspond with - answering all my questions. The only thing I will say about the place (that shouldn't deter you from booking) is that it is a 30-40 min climb up. So if you are doing the climb with provisions and you have a heavy pack, it can take longer and require quite a good level of fitness. Also, another tip is to try and reach the chalet in the day. We did the climb in the rain, approaching twilight and the chalet was hard to spot (low light). You can opt for a helicopter which is affordable. We plan to come back over summer and use the helicopter for all our heavy stuff!

Beautiful location and staying in a simple rustico. We had a wonderful time and the host was very responsive. Only downsides: Some problems with the access to the place due to a car barrier not opening but and a complicated explanation of how to het to the place instead of a google maps location.

Ein grosses Dankeschön an Fabiana. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im traumhaft schönen und heimeliges Rustico sehr genossen. Es war alles sehr sauber, wunderschöne Aussicht. Alles war perfekt.

Bei Erica haben wir uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Sie hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und uns alles gezeigt. Die Wohnung ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und es ist alles da, was man braucht. Auch Öl, Salz, Pfeffer, etc. Obwohl die Unterkunft mitten in Maggia liegt, ist es wirklich ruhig und wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Ein schönes Highlight war für uns auch der Aussenbereich mit Sitzplatz an der Sonne! 🌞

Trotz des schlechten Wetters konnten wir unsere Ferien in vollen Zügen geniessen – dank des wunderbar eingerichteten und heimeligen Rusticos. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, sodass wir gerne selbst gekocht haben. Die beiden einfach zu bedienenden Öfen sorgten stets für wohlige Wärme, und der Hotpot im Garten war ein echtes Highlight an regnerischen Tagen. Die Umgebung lädt zu tollen Wanderungen ein, aber auch direkt ums Haus gibt es viel zu entdecken. Unser Sohn liebte die grosse Schaukel am Baum vor dem Haus, während wir die sonnigen Momente auf der schönen Terrasse auskosteten. Das Rustico bietet alles, was man braucht, und ist ein perfekter Rückzugsort, um abzuschalten und die Ruhe und Natur zu geniessen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Das Häuslein ist wirklich entzückend und Sarah eine ganz tolle Gastgeberin. Die Treppe in den Spitzgiebel ist nichts für Kinder und behinderte Menschen. Ganz toll ist der Schwedenofen im Wohnraum. Die Küchenutensilien sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber für 2 Personen ausreichend vorhanden.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in der Unterkunft. Auf unsere Fragen und Anliegen hat Noemi schnell und zugewandt reagiert. Vor allem die Erklärung per Video zur Nutzung des Pelletofens war sehr hilfreich. Da es ein kühler, regenreicher Tag war, war es sehr schön, etwas heizen zu können. Die Unterkunft ist auch gut für Leute, die wie wir mit dem Postbus anreisen. Es gibt im nächsten Dorf ein kleines Geschäft, was alles hat, was man in den Ferien benötigt. Und die Natur, die Ruhe sind wunderbar.

Das Haus und die Umgebung sind wirklich schön – sehr ruhig gelegen in einem kleinen, charmanten Dörfchen. Die Einrichtung ist geschmackvoll und gemütlich. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern war schnell, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders gefallen hat uns der tolle Holzofen zum Heizen. Der Wohnbereich ist für zwei Erwachsene und zwei Kleinkinder etwas knapp bemessen. Insgesamt hatten wir einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt.

Wer die Ruhe mag, die vielfältige Natur, die artenreichen Mischwälder, die Tessiner Dörfchen mit ihren traditionellen Häusern aus Granitstein - wer all dies mag, findet in dem Rustico von Regina ein Paradies. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Es war ein traumhaft ruhiger und schöner Aufenthalt in malerischer Umgebung. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Casa di montagna immersa nella natura con vista mozzafiato che, da sola, vale il prezzo richiesto per il soggiorno. L’abitazione è spaziosa (noi eravamo in 5 adulti) e ha tutto l’occorrente per un soggiorno tranquillo e piacevole. I due camini a legna disponibili sono più che sufficienti per scaldare gli spazi in breve tempo e regalano un’atmosfera senza tempo. Mario é un host straordinario: reattivo, gentilissimo e disponibile. Le indicazioni e le istruzioni che ci ha fornito sulle diverse strade per raggiungere l’abitazione sono state chiare, reali e utili. In breve: consiglio a tutti di soggiornare nella casa di Mario, non ne resterete delusi!!

Heel fijn huis, prachtig uitzicht en hele mooie omgeving. Zeer fijne en communicatieve eigenaren. Ze hielpen ons heel goed en waren betrokken toen zich een persoonlijke situatie voordeed. We komen zeker terug.
