Relaxing, peaceful and private. Like to go off grid and certainly ticked the boxes. Great space for our dog and it was nice to be left alone. Everything you need not to have to keep going to the shops etc.

Pet friendly peace in Herefordshire

SamRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay at Ian and Christine’s self contained outhouse. The place was very easy to find and we were met upon arrival by both of them. They were warm and friendly from the get go. Their dog Danny was playful and adorable. The place had everything we needed and everything was spotlessly clean. It was incredibly quiet there, so we didn’t hear a peep. We went to Hay on Wye for the festivals which was only a 20mins drive and the Oxford street car park only cost £4 for the entire day. I’d highly recommend this place, especially if you’re visiting Hay or any of the surrounding areas.

David and Jacqui were very welcoming and friendly which was so lovely and unexpected. They clearly really enjoy meeting people. David was a great communicator and gave me excellent directions to find the property. It is in a beautiful peaceful location. I'm just sorry I couldn't stay longer to go on some of the local walks. Thank you for your warm welcome

Mill Garden Lodge Romantic Spa break in the Forest

ThomasRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Traceys place is a fantastic cottage to base yourself to explore the Forest of Dean. A short drive to the main visitor centres and several walks available from the door. Lovely little place to come back to after being out exploring for the day, it's perfect for couples. The garden isn't secure, but they do have a ground spike with a long line on (or another cottage with a fenced garden). There is also a meadow field which is great to take your dog up to. Tracey and Dave were lovely hosts with what was probably the most comprehensive recommendations email we have ever had.

Lodge with stunning Mendip view near to Wells

KathrynRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Lyn and David are the most wonderful hosts! David build the home from the ground up and it is very beautiful! We loved how homely it felt, comfortable beds, views that are out of this world and a really peaceful place to be! We can’t thank you both enough for allowing us to share your slice of Mendip Hills beauty!! Lyn left some homemade scones which were to die for! We have to revisit as we didn’t explore all the amazing walks and Wells in more detail , and would not think twice to stay again. PS there is a beautiful little shepherds hut nearby with the same amazing views also built by David (Lyn said because he was bored!) Hopefully David remains bored, we look forward to his next amazing space/s. We highly recommend you visit!

The Blues Hut

HelenRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We loved our stay in the Blues Hut - I echo all the positive reviews on here! The location is beautiful and being able to walk to the fabulous Yew Tree Inn was a treat. The Blues Hut is thoughtfully set out with everything we needed for a relaxing long weekend. I loved opening the door in the morning to the sun spilling through the trees and the birds singing. My daughter loved the bunk bed and the games. I hope we can come back again and explore the area further.

The Pretty Shed, near Bath.

FreyaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is a great place - it's really characterful and cosy. Kirstie was communicative and went above and beyond, allowing me to send a package to The Shed ahead of my arrival. It was a great place to stay for a wedding at the local Priston Mill. I appreciated the ease of the 522 bus to/from Bristol and the tasty fish and chips at The Haynes.

Shepherd's hut for two with magnificent views.

LaurenRating, 5 starstoday
My partner and I stayed in this adorable Shepard's hut in Ledbury for two nights. I've never stayed in a tiny house/cabin, but have always wanted to. I can say that I was not disappointed in the slightest 😊 Helens Shepard's hut was exactly as the pictures show, if not even more beautiful in person! The surroundings were stunning, with lots of wildlife (mainly birds, so bird watchers would be right at home!), very quiet and private 😊 The cabin itself was immaculate with everything you would need for cooking and cleaning up, nothing was missing! Plus Helen was a gem allowing us to check in early and check out later, we definitely appreciated that 😊 and more so, she was very friendly. I would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat if I travel up this way again 👍

The Cabin

MatthewRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Fantastic cabin. Fantastic host. Fantastic location. A brilliant get away for those seeking to “leave it all behind” for a few days. The cabin is as described. In some cases (especially the bathroom) the pictures do not do it justice. The view is even more exquisite in person. I think it’s what most would dream of having as their get away place. Hall was a fantastic host, whose communication was second to none. The access road is a little steep, but it makes for an adventurous start to your get away. We will definitely be returning! Thank you Hal and David.

Beautiful simplicity. We went away for a wedding anniversary treat, looking to explore Bibury and the surrounding area. The location was perfect. The Dovecote was beautiful, the quality of the amminities was excellent.. We met Wendy who was happy to share some local knowledge of the pubs and restaurants nearby. The best was so comfortable and the bathroom was something out of a film set.. we will return for sure.

Minnow Cottage

Me and my husband had a really lovely stay in Jen's cottage. The house is beautiful and comfortable, although it was still a bit chilly early in the mornings despite the sunny days. The village feels like you've stepped out of the modern world for a moment, and everyone is kind and friendly. We enjoyed some great walks and found excellent food both at the Chalford Community Shop and the nearby Lavender Bakehouse. Thanks again, Jen, for allowing us to stay in your amazing place!

The Hut on the Hill - hottub, heating & stable.

ZoeRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Arrived at 3pm check in, the road down there is a bit hectic but fine if you take it easy, my Fiesta managed it just fine. The Hut on the Hill was exactly like the pictures, inviting and cosy, and Mandy and David had gone out of their way to make personal touches such as fresh eggs, fresh bread and beautifully creamy fresh milk. Usually when Ben and I have gone to other locations with hot tubs the towels have been small and limited, but Mandy and David ensured there were large towels, and spare, and sliders too! Plus some beautiful towel dressing gowns. Mandy was very responsive and reassuring when I wanted to ensure we were parked in the right spot. The hot tub was already warm and easy to navigate, and we slept so well in the bed! The dog too enjoyed his freedom which was a major highlight for us. You can order food and wine from the hosts and if we'd stayed longer, we definitely would of. This place was beyond our expectations and would love to come back.

Abbey Dore Pod

BethanyRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Jo was a perfect host. She was very friendly and gave really clear instruction for how to find and enter the pod, what to do in the area, and information regarding the amenities, etc. I was really looking forward to having a peaceful evening away from the city and that's exactly what we got. I went for a beautiful walk with the dog around the Abbey, and we had a really cosy evening reading - so cosy in fact hat in the morning we fell back asleep and barely made it out for 10 (apologies Jo). It was the perfect little getaway.
