House vacation rentals in East Sussex

We really enjoyed our stay. It was a great location and we would have no hesitation in coming back again.

Wow Wow Wow..... Enjoyed a 4night break here last week for mums 65th birthday, brought all the family which ranged from 4 - 70yrs old and we loved it! The house, the bedrooms and the gardens are beautiful! The pool is super, the kids couldn't wait to get in every morning. The older ones enjoyed the tennis courts and pool table. The kitchen was a fantastic size for us all to gather for meals and mini parties, it has everything you could possibly need. Bathrooms are well equipped with shampoo and body wash, towels and hair dryers. The lounge is cosy and there are books and games. We also enjoyed nature walks straight from the garden. Unfortunately, we didn't get round to trying out the local pub, hopefully next time! Thank you to Emma and co for warm greeting and showing us round, with clear instructions and lovely send off. Thank you to Sophie for the recommendations on local activities etc and quick responses. Highly recommend a stay at Spring Farm!

We spent a lovely week at Alison's farm. Beautiful location near charming Ticehurst and Wadhurst (both have good Pubs), incredible views across open countryside and hills from the heated outdoor pool, which our daughter loved. Slides, swings and a trampoline bonus points with kids. Alison was friendly and helpful. The Shed itself is warm and comfortable, kitchen is kitted out for basic meals, and the two ensuite bathrooms are super spacious and have good showers with hot water plus bathtubs. There is so much to do in the area from beautiful walks, tastings at vineyards, to cyclyng in Bedgbury, boating in Bewl Water and seaside beauties Rye and Camber in the vicinity.

Excellent property. Owners were really nice. Can’t wait to go again when the pool is open. Went to a local pub called Coach & horses, excellent food there. We took our dog and owners kindly asked if we kept her on the lead when in garden of property as they have sheep but there’s a massive field with a woodland walk out back so was fine to let off the lead then. Barn is exactly as described. There’s some good little board games there and our kids got a bit obsessed with cluedo. Was expecting to be chilly as it’s a barn but the underfloor heating makes it really warm and cosy. Will definitely come back.

Pekes is a perfect weekend get away. Set in Sussex countryside far from the madding crowd. With facilities on the door: swimming pool and jacuzzi. We stayed at Tudor View which has stunning views and was a comfortable living space for the five of us. Thank you Pekes Team.

This house is absolutely fantastic. Our group of 9 including a teen and two 9-year-olds stayed very comfortably for a week with a typically English mix of weather and the house accommodated us amply. The spaces were all individual, relaxing and full of beautiful furniture and art, we loved the characterful high-ceilinged garden room and the sitting room big enough for all 9 of us to play games. All the first floor bedrooms were large with comfortable beds and generous storage, and the second floor attic with two bedrooms and a relaxing space between was a great little world away. The rambling garden and the tennis court, trampoline, warm pool and table tennis were a real hit with our group. Locally there was something for everyone, highlights including great walks from the house along the river and up onto the spine of the South Downs, and garden visits to High Beeches and Sussex Prairie Gardens. Enzo and Lucy are well deserved superhosts, we would return in a heartbeat.

We had an extremely pleasant time during our stay. While booking I didn’t realize that there was no cooking range at the accomodation . We wanted some eggs for breakfast, Miles was extremely helpful. He made some mouth watering scrambled eggs for us. Thank you Miles for that.. really appreciate it . The surrounding place is extremely peaceful and scenic. A great weekend away, lots of recommendations provided which were extremely helpful. Everything was clean and as described and overall a lovely stay in a very peaceful location. Would definitely recommend! Only worth noting a microwave is not provided which is no problem just something to consider if planning to cook.

My second stay at Sandra’s was as good as the first. Sandra is really quick to respond to any questions and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.

We LOVE Helen’s house - it is in a fabulous location, spotlessly clean, exactly as pictured and so beautiful and comfortable. I would recommend Helen and her beautiful house to everyone. Thanks Helen for the bottle of champagne and chocolate you left for New Years Eve, such a lovely thoughtful gesture.

We had an amazing weekend in Brighton! The place was perfect for our group of 12. Would definitely recommend for a large group it was really comfortable and the hosts were so helpful and very responsive

Really enjoyed our stay. Comfortable, nice and warm, and exactly as listed. A quiet location and dog friendly. Thoughtful host who left a little welcome basket of bits and had good communication. We intend to rebook next time we’re back in Brighton.

What a beautiful place to stay! The attention to detail was amazing and it had all the possible amenities you could need. Diewertje was incredibly responsive and even left a little gift for our 1 year old which was extremely kind. We really enjoyed using the log burner on some cold and windy evenings. The location is also great for exploring the local area. We would not hesitate to stay again!

Tracy and Mark’s place in St Leonards on Sea is absolutely lovely. The house is beautiful, spacious and very comfortable – we all felt right at home straight away. The garden is a real bonus too – a sunny spot perfect for eating or relaxing with a cup of tea or glass of wine. There were loads of interesting books and board games, if only we'd had more time! Our hosts were very kind, helpful and responsive. St Leonards itself is a great spot for a short break. It’s right on the sea, with a really creative and laid-back vibe. There are loads of great places to eat and drink, and plenty of art and interesting shops to explore. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back. Thanks again, Tracy and Mark!

Stayed here for a long weekend during Pride and we had the best time. Property was immaculate, nice bedrooms and we loved sitting in the courtyard garden. Ben was super helpful and the best host - thank you. Will definitely cone back next year!

Lovely welcoming home in a residential area within easy walking distance of everything Brighton has to offer. The house is spacious and very well appointed with all the kitchen equipment you’d need plus lots of games

I use AirBnB all the time and Louise is one of the best hosts I've had the pleasure of communicating with. It was perfect for our short stay near to Gatwick Airport before a flight. Louise recommended much more affordable transport options than we would've found, so staying with her actually saved us money in that regard. The AirBnB is extremely well equipped with utilities and information so that you'd never even need to contact her. But if you still throw a message her way, she's extremely fast to respond and attentive. If I'm ever needing to stay near London again, for whatever reason, this will be my first port of call. Copthorne is a beautiful, tranquil town too.

The place is great - very clean, airy and with all the amenities needed. It is situated a bit further from historical centre (Pantiles), in more residential area with loads of nice (and not touristy) restaurants/coffee shops/pubs to choose from. It is also just right next to the park. Dominic was very responsive and accommodating host. We really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful house which opens up right onto the beach. The outside area is great and the view from the house are amazing. Really nice house inside as well.

Amazing location just behind a sand dune off amber beach. Perfect place to stay with kids, lots of games and activities if it’s raining and the beach for when it’s not! Great and clean facilities - everything you could need for an escape to the seaside!

The house was perfectly located for my family’s vacation; it was very quiet with outstanding views of the sea with great access to cliff walks and local facilities plus the frequent buses into Brighton. Each room was perfectly appointed, and the kitchen was very well equipped. Each bedroom has its own bathroom which was perfect for our family of 7 including three children. It is very spacious and comfortable and everyone enjoyed their stay. Our host, Yvonne, was very responsive both before and during our stay and was gracious, and focused on ensuring our stay was perfect. As a seasoned global traveler, I would unreservedly recommend this property for your family vacation. I rarely, if ever, right reviews but the quality of this property compelled me to do so.
