Beautiful and super comfortable house for a family stay, with canal front and very manicured garden in a quiet and very beautiful village. 30 minutes drive to Amsterdam. Bike tours can also be made from De Rijp. Easy communication with the host, always available. Three handmade cats keep you company during your stay :)

Jaap prepared us superbly for the very charming house with garden, chickens and a pig (in the stable). My triplets (10 years) had a lot of fun. The location is very exciting: quiet, rural in a street village but only 30 minutes by train from the nearest train station from the center of Amsterdam. The valuable, historic house has currently been modernized to a high standard and generously expanded. It is high quality and fully furnished. Many thanks to the family for this unforgettable holiday.

We stayed there for 3 nights, it was great. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We had many options, such as canoeing, to explore the surrounding area or just relax in the hot tub. The kids had a lot of fun. By car you could also easily go everywhere, such as Zaandam or Amsterdam. We would come again.

A family getaway with five people was planned. The house is scenic, the village and beach are also easily accessible on foot, the path through a nature reserve is magical. The house exactly matches the descriptions, is spacious and bright – even in bad weather, if you can't use the enclosed garden with sun and shade spots, you are welcome to stay here. Those who feel like cooking will get their money's worth in the spacious, well-equipped kitchen. We had a very nice and pleasant stay, thank the hostess for making this great accommodation possible at such short notice and would be happy to come back.

Dear Twisk family, we had a very nice holiday in your great house. The house is very spacious and super furnished. Almost every room has its own bathroom :-) Especially our children had a lot of fun with the two cats. Also that we had fresh eggs from our own chickens every morning was very special. Justus & Heleen's house is absolutely fantastic, the photos don't do it justice as it is larger and better equipped than described. Extremely comfortable and for us ideally situated being only 10 minutes drive from the Medemblik Regatta Center where we were sailing. The area is peaceful, and local supermarkets excellent as well as a local restaurant serving good food. We will be back soon!

Lovely holiday homes! We had a great time. Amazing facilities. Loved the hot tub, multiple bathrooms, and sauna. Ordered e-bikes which were delivered to the premises on the next day. Excellent service! Great location to explore the island. We’d definitely come back. Beautiful, modern furnishing—the pictures don’t do it justice. We felt right at home. Thanks for everything!

A beautiful house in a stunning location!

Frank is an outstanding host. He provided fantastic and detailed information upfront. The check-in was smooth, and we were provided with local snacks, and Frank set us up with breakfast for our first morning in Amsterdam. This made it very comfortable after a long trip. Whenever we had a question, Frank replied within minutes. We all had a great and relaxing stay. Our kids often asked us if we could stay inside the house rather than going on day trips. That's how much they enjoyed the place and the cute little garden where they could play with water (you have to watch out for tiny kids that can't swim though). In short, it was fun, and we had a good time.

The place was very clean, spacious and well equipped. Mark was a great host who also responded to messages/questions within a very short time. The supermarket within walking distance and the short distances to the sea and to Alkmaar/Amsterdam rounded off the stay. Thank you!

You could arrive, unpack suitcases and relax and enjoy and feel at home. It's all as the others described it: great amenities, very clean (everything smelled so great and fresh👍) furnishings well maintained and on top the use of jacuzzi, fitness and sauna. Very friendly welcome and communication before and during our stay went smoothly. A beautiful house, lovely (made!) beds, good clean sauna, nice hot tub and cozy kitchen. Everything available for a wonderful stay. View from the house and the garden is wide and beautiful. Unexpectedly beautiful surroundings. In short; completely satisfied!

Absolutely recommended! Very nice house with everything you need and beautiful furnishings with attention to detail. The highlight is the bathtub with total privacy. Perfect for a nice getaway for two. Many nearby destinations - whether to the beach or to various cities such as Harlem, Zaandam or Alkmaar. An all-round successful overall package.
