Lighthouse vacation rentals in Western Europe

Hat alles gepasst. Andriano war jederzeit erreichbar und hat proaktiv nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung sei. Wer so einen schönen alten Turm zu schätzen weiß und sich darauf einlassen kann, kommt auf seine Kosten. Uns hat es gefallen :)

Wonderful place for a family of three. Right next to the beach (literally 2min) and lovely shared gardens to relax in. We felt so fortunate for the location with wonderful views, sunsets and sea and a lovely breeze kept us cool in the night. The place is very simple with minimal amenities and kitchen equipment but we didn’t need much more for our stay even though we cooked simple meals often at the apartment. Bed linen and towels are not included in the fee which is quite unusual but the host arranged for some be hired at an extra fee. We loved our stay on the island and hope to come back!

Heerlijk rustig. Alles wat ik nodig had was op de fiets aan te rijden. Wat een mooie bijkomstigheid was is dat het lekker weer was tijdens mijn verblijf. Hierdoor had ik mooi uitzicht. Derk vertelde mij dat er regelmatig reeën naast de watertoren lopen, helaas heb ik deze gemist.

Our stay at Kathryn and Jeremy’s cottage was unmatched. The location is spectacular, great for bird watching and ship watching and for finding gorgeous rocks and sea shells at the shore. There is also an excellent coffee shop just down the road. The cottage itself is also excellent, with fantastic amenities and a wonderful welcome package. Jeremy went above and beyond to make our visit to Aberdeen special and we will certainly be back :) cannot recommend more highly

One of the best Airbnbs that we could ever think of. Unbelievably beautiful location, modern and well equipped apartment, many cool quirks and overall just exciting. It was even a bit above our budget because we didn’t really plan much forward but it costs every euro! Definitely the stay that I will remember for a very long time and hopefully will have a chance to visit again!

Our stay at the Auberge du Lac was excellent. The beds were comfortable and the showers hot. The dinner and breakfast were both generous and tasty. while the hotel is in the middle of town, the rooms were quiet. I would happily return.

We loved staying at this place! The windmill made us feel like we were living in a fairytale. The property is remarkable in its beauty and creative design, combining stone, wood, and plenty of charm. There is an outside kitchen with a table, an outdoor seating area near the other kitchen, a garden, and an outdoor shower with a millstone for the floor. What a joy it is to take a cool shower as you feel the breeze while hearing the birds and the little lizards that live within the crevices of the stone wall come and go. Take out the hammocks at night to enjoy the stars! Sleeping in the very top bedroom is a unique experience. However, the stairs are very steep, and you should exercise caution (not recommended for sleepwalkers!) Marifer, Jesús, and Ana Griselda

We had such a wonderful stay at the Selkirk/Salmon River Lighthouse! We came to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday and it was even more awesome than we had imagined it’d be. Christian was a great host, super friendly and helpful, communicative and flexible. He was so accommodating with our schedule and did a great job of checking in with us to see if we needed anything throughout our stay. We found the lighthouse clean and cozy and perfect for our needs, and loved the history and essence of the whole place. Christian delighted us with a trip to the birdcage and top of the light which really capped the whole experience. Swimming in Lake Ontario and exploring the beach was a true highlight for us. Kayaking Salmon River was a beautiful and peaceful way to start one of our mornings. (And Annie’s Diner in town serves great biscuits and gravy). Such a bucket list kind of trip, and a real true gem of a place.

Awesome place, and a very nice luxury house that made our stay and experience just much better! You also have a feeling like you’re on your own private beach plus you can enjoy the jacuzzi with a view to the sea and sunset. Definitely recommend if you are looking for relaxing time and a real rest (vacation). The island is beautiful and lots to see there. You can take a cruise to a different island, visit different beaches on Brac and enjoy great local food. Croatians are very polite and friendly people so if you need help with anything you can count on that. The hosts were great! When we arrived, they walked us through everything and left a gift for us (snacks, drinks, fruit, etc.). The house has everything you need and more including the grill, kayak, bikes, fishing rods. We absolutely loved it here and plan on coming back :)

A stay in a lighthouse is exciting by default. But a stay at The Lighthouse Winterton-on-Sea is a true experience! We enjoyed the renovated and excellently kept historical building, the views from the top level, the warmth of the decoration (despite the windy environment) and the great walks in the surrounding area, the dunes, the seals, the doll like villages. Wir wurden von Franziska herzlich empfangen und fühlten uns von Anfang an willkommen. Sie war jederzeit hilfsbereit und schnell erreichbar, wenn wir Fragen hatten. Der Wasserturm liegt wunderschön ruhig und ist ein echter Geheimtipp für alle, die Erholung suchen. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns die tolle Aussicht von oben – man kann weit ins Grüne blicken und einfach die Seele baumeln lassen. Der Turm selbst war sehr sauber, ordentlich und mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen gelungenen Urlaub braucht. Wir hatten einen wirklich wunderschönen Osterurlaub dort – die Kombination aus Ruhe, Natur und dem besonderen Flair des Turms hat unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich gemacht. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Ugelangt ophold, men ikke et sekund for langt. Den fredede lejlighed var helt perfekt i alle henseender. Vesterhavet og det omkringliggende Hanstholm gjorde sit til, at dette blev en uforglemmelig oplevelse.

Der Leuchtturm ist etwas sehr besonderes: Abgelegen, idyllisch und mit allem Nötigen eingerichtet! Wir konnten unseren Urlaub so wie wir ihn uns vorgestellt haben, genießen (Fischen, Baden, Bootfahren und die einzigartige Privatsphäre) Daniela ist eine super freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieterin, die einem alles einfach erklärt und Fragen sofort umfassend beantwortet. Bsp.: Sie uns zu exzellenten, preiswerten und regionalen Olivenöl/ Wein verholfen oder Insider-Wissen der Insel mit uns geteilt (Konzert in einer speziellen Bucht) Gerne wieder!

Super bel emplacement, avec le phare à côté ça donne un côté unique. La communication avec l’hôte se fait bien. L’hôte est à l’écoute et répond rapidement à nos questions. Merci encore !

If you’re debating booking this place, do it!! So beautiful, and Kristy is an amazing host. It had all of the little touches to make a perfect stay, in addition to a hot tub. Peaceful and pristine!

Lugar tranquilo y cómodo. Sin duda regresaría.

We absolutely loved our stay and the hosts were super flexible for our needs. The lot is huge and the wrap around deck is spectacular. On one side you see the river and on the other you see woods and a golf course. For you fisherman out there. This is your place! If you are looking for a half day float. Put in at Mt Union and float to The Lighthouse. There is river access across the road. If you are like us and do a full day float. Put in at Mapleton and float to The Lighthouse. We cannot wait to come back. Lighthouse is a 10 out of 10.

Bradley was a very responsive and attentive host. Everything we needed to know was provided ahead of arrival with plenty of time. The home was beautiful and truly a relaxing setting.
