Lest die guten Bewertungen, da steht schon alles drin - und es stimmt tatsächlich: Der Turm ist außergewöhnlich und etwas für Menschen, die das Besondere suchen. Die Einrichtung ist geschmackvoll und dem Turm gut angepasst. Es ist ein wunderbares altes Gebäude, bei dem auch mal etwas Farbe von der Wand rieselt - das passiert nun mal bei einem historischen Gebäude und gehört zu seinem ganz eigenen, großartigen Charakter. Wir haben es dort sehr genossen, vor allem den Ausblick von der Turmplattform. Wo sonst sieht man vom Haus die Sonne im Meer aufgehen - und im Meer wieder versinken. Das tut sie besonders schön bei einem Glas Vermentino frizzante. Hoch das Glas auf diesen tollen Turm!

Wonderful place for a family of three. Right next to the beach (literally 2min) and lovely shared gardens to relax in. We felt so fortunate for the location with wonderful views, sunsets and sea and a lovely breeze kept us cool in the night. The place is very simple with minimal amenities and kitchen equipment but we didn’t need much more for our stay even though we cooked simple meals often at the apartment. Bed linen and towels are not included in the fee which is quite unusual but the host arranged for some be hired at an extra fee. We loved our stay on the island and hope to come back!

We can’t speak highly enough about this spot! It was honestly one of the best and most unique places we’ve ever stayed. Jeremy, Catherine‘s husband welcomed us upon check in and gave us the lay of the land and plenty of recommendations. He was so lovely and so helpful. The place was even more beautiful than the picture showed. 20 out of 10 and would absolutely stay here again.

Heerlijk rustig. Alles wat ik nodig had was op de fiets aan te rijden. Wat een mooie bijkomstigheid was is dat het lekker weer was tijdens mijn verblijf. Hierdoor had ik mooi uitzicht. Derk vertelde mij dat er regelmatig reeën naast de watertoren lopen, helaas heb ik deze gemist.

Stay in and next to a lighthouse is quite a unique experience. We enjoyed a lot having Isla Pancha just for us, and also being at 30’ by foot from the center were we could taste the local cuisine. I totally recommend it!

Our stay at the Auberge du Lac was excellent. The beds were comfortable and the showers hot. The dinner and breakfast were both generous and tasty. while the hotel is in the middle of town, the rooms were quiet. I would happily return.

We loved staying at this place! The windmill made us feel like we were living in a fairytale. The property is remarkable in its beauty and creative design, combining stone, wood, and plenty of charm. There is an outside kitchen with a table, an outdoor seating area near the other kitchen, a garden, and an outdoor shower with a millstone for the floor. What a joy it is to take a cool shower as you feel the breeze while hearing the birds and the little lizards that live within the crevices of the stone wall come and go. Take out the hammocks at night to enjoy the stars! Sleeping in the very top bedroom is a unique experience. However, the stairs are very steep, and you should exercise caution (not recommended for sleepwalkers!) Marifer, Jesús, and Ana Griselda

We had such a wonderful stay at the Selkirk/Salmon River Lighthouse! We came to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday and it was even more awesome than we had imagined it’d be. Christian was a great host, super friendly and helpful, communicative and flexible. He was so accommodating with our schedule and did a great job of checking in with us to see if we needed anything throughout our stay. We found the lighthouse clean and cozy and perfect for our needs, and loved the history and essence of the whole place. Christian delighted us with a trip to the birdcage and top of the light which really capped the whole experience. Swimming in Lake Ontario and exploring the beach was a true highlight for us. Kayaking Salmon River was a beautiful and peaceful way to start one of our mornings. (And Annie’s Diner in town serves great biscuits and gravy). Such a bucket list kind of trip, and a real true gem of a place.

Attention, il faut grimper les 4 étages donc un peu de souffle requis, mais c’était prévisible. Les environs sont splendides, typiquement bretons, et les habitants très accueillants. Staying at Steven and John's place was a great experience for my family, a mix of adults and teenagers. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings, secluded and private but close enough to town and all the civilized comforts you need. House was beautiful, well appointed and decorated. So many thoughtful touches to make our stay easy. Well-equipped kitchen (we cooked, and it wasn't missing anything), "honesty bar" for when we forgot drink mixers, games and toys for the teens, operating grill, fireplaces inside and out. Comfy beds and very versatile sleeping options. And we can't say enough about how friendly and responsive and accommodating our hosts were. Highly recommended, and we hope to be back someday.

Awesome place, and a very nice luxury house that made our stay and experience just much better! You also have a feeling like you’re on your own private beach plus you can enjoy the jacuzzi with a view to the sea and sunset. Definitely recommend if you are looking for relaxing time and a real rest (vacation). The island is beautiful and lots to see there. You can take a cruise to a different island, visit different beaches on Brac and enjoy great local food. Croatians are very polite and friendly people so if you need help with anything you can count on that. The hosts were great! When we arrived, they walked us through everything and left a gift for us (snacks, drinks, fruit, etc.). The house has everything you need and more including the grill, kayak, bikes, fishing rods. We absolutely loved it here and plan on coming back :)

The place is lovely, very calm and quiet and beautiful views. It's a very clean and well kept place. A lot of nature and a escape from reality. I hope we can go back there as it is completely worth it.

A stay in a lighthouse is exciting by default. But a stay at The Lighthouse Winterton-on-Sea is a true experience! We enjoyed the renovated and excellently kept historical building, the views from the top level, the warmth of the decoration (despite the windy environment) and the great walks in the surrounding area, the dunes, the seals, the doll like villages. Arranmore light house is a beautiful restful place to stay, very cosy. The accommodation is spacious and well maintained. The location is outstanding. Fiona is an excellent host, very responsive. We had one day of heavy rain and one perfect sunny day both of which were very enjoyable giving a range of experience at the lighthouse. We will definitely come back !

Der Wasserturm hat definitiv dazu beigetragen, dass es für uns ein unvergesslicher Urlaub war. Er ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht oder brauchen könnte. Liebevolle Einrichtungs- und Dekodetails tragen dazu bei, dass man sich direkt wohl fühlt. Die Kommunikation verlief stets sehr prompt und es war eine grosse Wertschätzung spürbar. Die persönliche und sehr herzliche Begrüssung haben wir extrem geschätzt. Und es hat uns an gar nichts gefehlt. Es wurden sogar die Tonnen jeweils an die Strasse gestellt und die Umgebung gepflegt, sodass wir nur geniessen und uns um nichts kümmern mussten.

Ugelangt ophold, men ikke et sekund for langt. Den fredede lejlighed var helt perfekt i alle henseender. Vesterhavet og det omkringliggende Hanstholm gjorde sit til, at dette blev en uforglemmelig oplevelse.

Der Leuchtturm ist etwas sehr besonderes: Abgelegen, idyllisch und mit allem Nötigen eingerichtet! Wir konnten unseren Urlaub so wie wir ihn uns vorgestellt haben, genießen (Fischen, Baden, Bootfahren und die einzigartige Privatsphäre) Daniela ist eine super freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieterin, die einem alles einfach erklärt und Fragen sofort umfassend beantwortet. Bsp.: Sie uns zu exzellenten, preiswerten und regionalen Olivenöl/ Wein verholfen oder Insider-Wissen der Insel mit uns geteilt (Konzert in einer speziellen Bucht) Gerne wieder!

This is not a typical Airbnb stay ! So much more. The house was immaculately clean, spacious, and thoughtfully set up with everything we could need. The kitchen was fully equipped, and every room had cozy, comfortable spots that made us want to stay indoors and unwind. But what really sets this place apart is the outdoor space. The spacious yard offers a peaceful retreat with a beautiful peek at the river. There’s even a barbecue grill outside, perfect for enjoying the open air and making the most perfect week-end meals. Nearby shopping spots made it easy to grab all the groceries and essentials we needed for the weekend. This was the ideal location for a rejuvenating weekend escape, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended!

We stayed Derby weekend and this place is the perfect hidden gem for 4-6 people. It’s far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the weekend, but close enough to attend the derby, restaurants, etc. just across the river. The property is literally right on the Ohio River with very nice views, boasts 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and is roomy with nice outdoor spaces!! The host, Brad, is extremely friendly and responsive and wants to ensure their guests have a great experience end to end. I would totally recommend the property for folks looking for a quick get away or the derby!!!! Excellent value for money!!

Amazing lighthouse! Saw Minke whales and dolphins multiple times throughout our stay right outside our door! Absolutely beautiful!
