Hummingbird Villa is a perfect oasis on the outskirts of La Fortuna. I had the impression that we might be sharing the pool with other properties, but the entire facility is private. It's a stunning location with beautiful landscaping and plenty of outdoor space. Even when it was raining there was plenty of room at the large table under the generous patio roof to stay dry for our whole family. In the mornings we enjoyed birdwatching along the the quiet road. We would absolutely stay here again. Many thanks to Jason for being a kind and considerate host.

wow just wow.. we are absolutely in love with Quitandinha. We had an amazing time, we got to relax and spend time with our relatives that we haven't seen in 25 years so the place made it extra special. Dona Cida and seu Belchior, no words to describe them, we actually became friends and will definitely come back. I highly recommend this airbnb. Phill was very attentive and replied to my questions within minutes. Thank you Quitandinha for the best 6 days of my life.

Amazing piece of paradise if you are looking for an off the beaten path experience where the ocean isnt far & the river is just a boardwalk length's away. We hesitated about booking bc it seems too good to be true but once Luis met us on the dock & we headed deeper into the river amongst mangroves, when we unloaded and were welcomed with a fresh coconut by the keepers of the property, we instantly knew we didnt want to leave. The hammocks beckoned the two 14 y/o boys to settle in while the other 10 y/o was ready to pick her bed upstairs. Bc we were on a different eco resort before this, we werent able to bring ex snacks & drinks but Lia was able to have cold beer on the ready as the closest large grocery store is a boat ride away. We asked for them to cook. Simple delicious local flavors for food and juices. It was perfect. Can't stress how authentic and fun the tours are- we loved the waterfall hike & wished we had time for the mangrove tours. Def line fish & we loved the experience.

Uma das experiências mais legais que tive no airbnb. Quando chegamos encontramos a casa extremamente limpa. Os jogos de cama e banho muito cheirosos. A casa toda tem uma aspecto "casa de vó" o que deixa muito aconchegante. A praia é linda, com o mar calmo e água quente. E o mais legal é que esta bem na sua frente. O Francisco estive ontem line todo o tempo pra nos auxiliar. O caseiro Rafael também muito solícito. E tive o prazer de conhecer a esposa do Francisco que nos recebeu até com mimos. Vale muito a pena a hospedagem!

Our stay in Crochu was unforgettable. The house was beautiful, with the surrounding nature even more stunning. The privacy offered by the Tatou House is tough to beat! Vikki & Linette made the stay very easy. Their suggestions for a rental car were perfect, and necessary. All things about this place made our Honeymoon very special. Thank you Vikki and Victor for creating this piece of paradise.

A week in Pura Vida.  Casa Aracari is a great combination of Tico and modern style and amenities.  Very comfortable, with large windows which makes the living area light and airy, and gives a pleasant view of Vulcan Poas which was puffing steam during our stay.  Our trip was during the rainy season, so things were ... humid (as expected).  There is no air conditioning, but a bit of adjusting of the screened windows and doors gave light breezes through the house, so totally comfortable.  The only issue we ran into was after one particularly strong thunderstorm, the power was out and the electrically powered driveway gate wouldn't open (can happen anywhere, so you just deal with it).  This was quickly and efficiently remedied with a text to Diana.  The Jacuzzi was welcoming on cool evenings after long days of sight seeing.  All in all, our stay was peaceful, pleasant, and this was a great retreat and base from which to explore the Atenas region.    Highly recommended.

BOOK THIS BEFORE SOMEONE ELSE DOES. I’ve had the privilege of staying at 100+ Airbnb’s (and VRBO’s) over the past 20 years. Beth and Manolo were the kindest and most welcoming hosts I’ve ever had. From the first time we reached out to book all the way through checkout, they took pleasure in sharing their place and offering suggestions to make our stay perfect. First, the place: way better than photos. Better view, better accommodations, better everything. Second, the location: perfect. Far enough away from other people to feel the Pura Vida life, yet close (walkable with a sense of adventure) to Santa Elena, restaurants, and a grocery. And third: you simply can’t have better hosts. Beth kindly (not a hint of pushing) suggested we should book 3 nights instead of two. SO glad we did. If you’re considering 2 nights, book 3. If you’re considering booking 3 nights, book 4. It’s a trek to get there from other CR highlights, but I only have 1 gripe — I wish we’d stayed here even longer.

A Fabiana é gentil e comprometida. Sua casa é sensorial. Linda visualmente, num local onde o canto dos pássaros reina. O odor, ao adentrar a casa, é o que mais chama a atenção. Cheiro muito bom de limpeza. Sobre o paladar, Fabiana nos surpreendeu com uma mesa de café. Pegamos um frio gostosa, sensação que não sentimos no RJ. Para nos aquecer, roupas de cama extremamente limpas e macias... Está de parabéns. Retornaremos mais vezes.

The domes were awesome! They were cozy, especially with the wood burning stove at night. The surrounding mountains were beautiful, especially watching the sunrise through the domes. Juani and Joaquín were very hospitable and friendly. The breakfast that was included wasn’t like your typical hotel breakfast… it was delicious and homemade! The jam and warm bread were so good. I definitely recommend!!

Such a beautiful place in beautiful surroundings. Gilberto and Gretten are wonderful people. Thank you for teaching me how to milk a cow! Book this place!

The listing photos of this home do no justice to the absolute stunning location. Clear views of the arenal volcano from the backyard. We will absolutely be back time and time again. Stunning!!!!

Such an amazing little place that Rick and Ashley created and shared with us. We were able to check in early and check out late, providing us with even more time to enjoy the area and the property. Enjoyed exploring along the river nearby even during the rainy season. Felt very well taken care of, with Rick checking in with us throughout our stay and always responsive. Highly recommend!!

Nossa estadia não poderia ter sido melhor! A cabana é um verdadeiro refúgio, muito bem equipada e acolhedora. Conta com fogão a lenha e lareira, perfeitos para os dias frios e uma quantidade generosa de lenha sempre à disposição, o que tornou nossos momentos por lá ainda mais aconchegantes. A cozinha tem tudo o que a gente precisa para preparar refeições com conforto, e o capricho nos detalhes faz toda a diferença. As camas são extremamente confortáveis, com roupas de cama macias e quentinhas, garantindo noites de sono tranquilas e revigorantes. E o que dizer da paisagem? Um espetáculo à parte! A vista para a natureza é de tirar o fôlego um convite constante ao silêncio, à contemplação e à paz. Recomendamos demais essa experiência! Já estamos com vontade de voltar.

Awesome place with everything you need. Great views. Trail to river is well maintained and clearly marked. Private but close enough to everything you need. Would stay again.

Passei um final de semana maravilhoso no Sítio Sonho Meu! O lugar é simplesmente encantador, cercado pelas montanhas, com uma vista de tirar o fôlego. A casa tem uma arquitetura linda, ambiente muito acolhedor e é ideal para descansar e aproveitar a natureza. O sítio é super bem cuidado, tudo muito limpo e organizado. Um dos momentos mais especiais foi cozinhar com uma vista maravilhosa — uma experiência única e prazerosa! A casa tem todos os utensílios necessários para uma estadia confortável, o que faz toda a diferença. Os grandes destaques do sítio são o lago, os animais, o campo de futebol, a horta, o playground, além das vacas e cavalos que circulam pelos arredores, trazendo ainda mais charme e tranquilidade ao local. É um excelente lugar para quem procura se conectar com a família, curtir a natureza e esquecer da correria da cidade. A anfitriã, Janaína, foi extremamente prestativa e atenciosa. Obrigada!!

We LOVED our stay here! Shamir was extremely communicative and helpful if we needed anything. The house itself is spacious and gorgeous. We were visited by Squirrel, Capuchian, and Howler monkeys. We saw Scarlett macaws fly over several time a day as well as the blue butterfly. We even saw a Jesus lizard. The drive up to the house can be a bit tricky, but even knowing that now we wouldn't hesitate to book here again. We highly recommend this stay!

We loved staying here. The place is very private and peaceful, but close enough to everything if you have a car. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy La Fortuna.

This property is likely one of the best Airbnbs we have stayed at. The property was beautiful and the view was stunning. We especially loved the patios per room, kitchen amenities and the deck with lots of seating outside. If you are ever considering staying in Turrialba, this was worth every penny!

Stunningly beautiful place, and the pool is perfect for escaping the heat. The villa is great, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We had an amazing stay here! The location was easy to find and not too far from the airport. There were definitely lots of local stores and restaurants to visit near by. We recommend Resturante Ross! The views especially early morning were amazing overall we have no complaints. Our favorite part was visiting the farm animals! Oscar was so nice and welcoming.

A casa é impecavel exatamente como as fotos! A Simone que fica responsavel de cuidar da casa e receber os hospedes foi EXTREMAMENTE gentil e solicita mesmo antes do check in. Vale cada centavo contratar os serviços dela! A vista da casa é sensacional, o terreno todo em si uma delicia! Mas acabamos cometendo o erro de seguir o WAZE e acabamos em uma estrada de terra que encurtaria o trecho porem por conta da chuva ficou impossivel passar, pois tem zero iluminação ou sinal de celular! Tem que seguir as instrucoes da casa que a Simone encaminha antes da estadia , as placas indicativas ou GOOGLE MAPS!

Loved staying here! Francisco the grounds keeper is super awesome and friendly as are the owners who we got to meet! The house is super well equipped and we had farm fresh eggs waiting for us! Amazing views, grounds are beautifully maintained and the porch is perfect for viewing the city below!! The chicken coupe is right next door and was fun to watch the chickens! Short drive to town and one hour to Irazú volcano and 30 minutes to the Sanatorium which both were worth going to see! We also had a bonfire which was such a treat! Don’t hesitate staying here!!
