Vacation rentals with lake access in San Diego

This place was an absolute dream. Deborah (Sunni) and her husband were quite possibly the best hosts me and my girlfriend could ever have. I communicated with Deborah prior to our booking about some dishes and things to surprise my girlfriend, and everything went as planned. The place itself, both the interior and exterior, look better than what you see in the pictures, and the backyard is a literal dreamworld, ripe with beautiful flora, fruits, and vegetables. We really appreciated the great conversations we had with Deborah and her husband, as they were kindred spirits who shared the same love and appreciation for this world and nature that we do. Deborah and her husband are chill, and never were imposing, and they made us feel at home. Thank you both for such a memorable experience. We hope to see you both again soon!!!

What an absolute GEM! We enjoyed everything about this little slice of heaven. Description and pictures are accurate! Although it’s even more beautiful in person. The views are unmatched! We enjoyed watching sunrises and sunsets. The fire bowl kept us cozy on cool evenings. Lots of cool birds to listen to and watch. Such a perfect place to relax, unwind and connect with nature. Close enough to Vineyards/restaurants/grocery. Would recommend Stone Brewery and Highland Valley Winery. We hope to visit this magical place again :)

Eldein is the perfect host, welcoming, friendly, easy to talk to, available to ask any questions or get any extra supplies. It felt like we were staying with a friend. His hospitality and generosity was truly heart-warming. One of us got sick during our stay and he went out of his way to help make us feel comfortable. This was our first time staying in Carlsbad and it’s a great location to explore the area all the way to San Diego. So many great places to visit and dine at in the area. His place was a great home away from home for our visit. Eldein’s place is located on a beautiful street, it feels safe and peaceful while being close to all the area’s attractions.

Joe and Dee Dee were friendly, proactive and communicative hosts. The casita was replete with high end finishes, tastefully decorated and had all the amenities that we could want. It is well located within Carlsbad and we would recommend this to anyone planning a visit to the area.

This was one of my favorite Airbnbs and was a magical experience curated by Etoile who was such a kind, thoughtful, and accommodating host. Her property is lovely with trees, plants, and flowers throughout and the cottage is a very welcoming and peaceful place. We sincerely appreciated the warm decorations and numerous little details she put into it to make it comfortable and unique. Taking a private outdoor shower in the sun with a view of Hodges Lake was amazing and I highly recommend her home cooked breakfast in the morning, we loved the omelette, French toast, and delicious smoothies while getting a visit from some hummingbirds, bunnies, and their sweet dog Cooper! If you get a chance to check out the healing yurt as well the massage, sound bath, and breath work were all wonderful and the best end to an incredible refreshing weekend getaway in Escondido. Thank you so much again Etoile we truly enjoyed our time with you and look forward to staying there again sometime!

The place was perfect for our family which included a 22 month old. The hosts thought of everything one could need! Used the stroller everyday to walk to the beach boardwalk just down the walkway and to Bay boardwalk just across the street. Super clean, comfortable and one of the top AirBnBs we’ve stayed in. Highly recommend!!

We had a great stay! It was close to the beach and easy to walk to restaurants and coffee shops. Bradley was very responsive and helpful!

Great place! We stayed there for a college visit to SDSU and found that the location was excellent. It was pretty convenient to everywhere - beach, little Italy, airport, old town. The area is quiet and comfortable - walking distance to a grocery store and good restaurants just minutes away. The house is clean and spacious with plenty of room for everybody and everything you need. Our host was quick to respond, friendly, and accommodating. Love San Diego! Hoping my daughter commits to SDSU - would definitely stay here again.
