Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Riviera Maya

This was our third stay at Casa Dulce and it will NOT be our last. Great location in Playacar Fase 1 with a private pool to cool off in after walking around 5th Avenue (about 10 minute walk) or spending the day at the beach which is less than 2 blocks from the home. Alizee sent an email before our arrival with restaurant suggestions as well as suggestions of things to do. The AC was a definite plus. We would turn it on before bed and the room was nice and cool for sleeping. Highly recommend this Airbnb location in Playa del Carmen

A truly perfect experience from beginning to end. I took my mom and a group of her friends here for a 60th celebration and everyone was so blown away. We felt so safe and comfortable the entire time. All of their suggestions were outstanding. Would absolutely recommend and am planning on coming back!

We had a wonderful week at Mataray Tulum. The place is beautiful and peaceful and having the private beach made all the difference. But importantly, the staff were incredible. So accommodating and friendly, and always offering advice on where to go for dinner or excursions. There was never a tie that we didn't feel taken care of. The accommodation was amazing. The beds were amazingly comfortable, and my husband and son had great fun in the evening playing pool upstairs. The balance of having your own accommodation, but being connected to a hotel if you want food or drinks was a great combo! We will definitely come for another visit.

The very best Airb&b experience to date! Tanya greeted me to a extremely clean place, we'll thought out, safe and private place. I loved the authentic Spanish kitchen and modest bathroom. And how thoughtful of her to provide everything you need to nourish yourself upon arrival and longer. The place is located within walking distance of Super Aki and other stores.Super Aki is a frequent meeting spot for many excursions. I would definitely recommend this spot.

The house is beautiful and just as described. Alex met us in person when we arrived and showed us around. He was responsive throughout our visit when we had questions, and prepared delicious food for the meals we had prearranged, plus a gorgeous fresh ceviche. Alex also connected us with a captain in Punta Allen for a really wonderful half-day outing with crocodile, manatee, sea turtle, and dolphin sightings plus lots of birds, fish, a little snorkeling. The road to Tulum is in better condition than we expected. The seaweed was as noted in the booking, but the nearby beach is an easy trip and beautiful. We had a great, relaxing week. Thank you!

My family was SHOCKED the second we walked in the front door. I’ve seen a lot in my days, but this, IT WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD AMAZING. BEAUTIFUL. RELAXING! Dominga adds so very much to this luxury vacation!!! We loved her!!!! We loved everything!!!!! If you are reading this review… do not look any further. This paradise home was 10++ you will not find anything as or more dreamy than PARADISE. WE WILL BE BACK. EVERYTHING WAS SO EASY AND THE WHOLE VACATION WAS SO ORGANIZED. COMMUNICATION IS PERFECT!! Thank you for allowing our family a dream destination to make memories.

One of a kind snorkeling and bay location. Private Oasis which is very hard to find in Cancun. Located in the middle of everything. Snorkeling equipment provided, meal service also provided and 24 hours security. Hot tub got very HOT!! Was super happy with the place and host. Will be back.

We stayed at Casa Maeva for six nights and absolutely loved it. This was one of the best homes we have ever rented. The house itself was spacious with plenty of room to spread out and the beachfront location was stunning. Our children loved the pool, and we enjoyed grilling and eating outside in the evening under the palapa. The beds and sofa were very comfortable. Daily cleaning service was fantastic. The house manager, Cecilia, was incredibly helpful with everything we needed while we were there. The only downide was that there was a ton of sargassum (seaweed) on the beach while we were there - obviously nothing the owners could do about that. But it does omit an odor and made beach going on the entire eastern coast pretty undesirable. We hopped on the ferry and went over to Cozumel one day to get clear beaches. I highly recommend Casa Maeva, but would advise guests to check sargassum during the time of year they are booking their trip.

The apartment was clean and all was ready for our arrival. Carmen and Arturo were quick to respond to any questions and needs we had. The location is beautiful, safe, and within walking distance to countless activities, shopping, and restaurants. There is also golf cart service available if you don't want to walk. Clarifying note: there is no guest account for Netflix, just a small smart TV and you can log into your own streaming services. For the price we paid, we would definitely consider staying here again if we come back.

This is a great little studio! So clean and roomy. Huge comfortable bed and pillows. Cold ac, great coffee, small fridge and plenty of water. Lovely balcony to sit in the mornings and evenings. Pool was clean and refreshing. It’s very well decorated and on a quiet corner (for Cozumel) but only 3 blocks in any direction for amazing restaurants. Really a perfect place for 1 or 2 people. And now you can use the Eiby app to have a taxi pick you up right at the door. Great stay, will be back.

great place, we liked the furniture, the design and the decorations. We were the only ones at the apartment complex and felt like our own private resort. The pool area was great and we did take advantage of it. The staff was very helpful and explained to us how to use the laundry. Everything was really great. The location is great to explore the cenotes in the area. Likewise, it is close to, both, Tulum and Playa del Carmen. I would certainly recommend this place to friends and family next time they would want to stay in between these two cities. I would certainly recommend to add as a recommendation for dinner the restaurant called "La Buena Vida" (labuenavidarestaurant). If it was recommended to us, please disregard. I liked and appreciate the fact that you were aware of our fun by providing suggestions of what to do. Thank you for that. By the way, we did not have to open the main outside door (black) since it was always open. With nothing else, thank you again, loved it very!!!

Great apartment, lovely building. One elevator was broken which was a bummer and the place was a bit dusty. Overall quite clean, super responsive host, amazing location and beautiful views from the roof. Would stay again.

An excellent apartment for a couple, well located, several supermarkets nearby, close to the highway and close to the stations where they pick you up to go to the Xcaret parks. The whole stay was very good and Victor was always attentive to what was needed.

We had a wonderful stay in this fantastic location. This is an extremely special place, the apartment is fabulously equipped and the terrace is simply superb. Shops and restaurants are nearby and everyone we met was so friendly.

Very nice views, the hotel is very nice and in an excellent location near the quinta. And very good service from everyone!

We had a great time, the place was awesome. Aside from the seaweed that is uncontrollable it was amazing snorkeling out in the bay. We are actually looking to invest in a place similar to this and this gave us a very good appreciation for the location. Definitely on the top of our list..

Chris’s apartment was exactly as described – very clean, well-kept, and beautifully furnished. Communication was excellent; whenever we had a question, we received a quick response. The shared pool was cleaned daily and was almost always quiet and nearly empty. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back

Amazing place to stay - with the most thoughtful touches in the place. We didn’t want to leave!! Walking distance to a huge number of restaurants and cafes, yet the location still felt very peaceful and private. Oscar the host was very responsive, and also helped arrange for a chef to come and cook for us in the accommodation one night which was incredible! A must stay.

Great apartment in a nice condo complex. It’s worth noting that if you’re after beach time to note that Playa del Carmen and that coast gets a lot of seaweed from May thru August apparently, so be prepared for the smell and not using the sea much. The apartment is wonderful, well lit, very spacious and well equipped. The host is very responsive. The pool setup is great, added bonus having same shade over the pool. Staff at the complex are fantastic. Overall we enjoyed our stay here

Absolutely loved my stay! The place was clean, stylish, and just perfect for a relaxing getaway. The private pool was peaceful, refreshing, and perfect for lounging any time of day. One of the best parts was the beautiful view overlooking Playa del Carmen, truly breathtaking, especially at sunset. Great location to get to 5th street and the restaurants. Would definitely come back and highly recommend.

Perfect stay, I have stayed in this building before, and it never disappoints. The place was spotless, check in and check out was very easy. The beds and bedding are very comfortable and the decor is gorgeous.
