What an amazing stay! This cozy guest house was absolutely perfect for our time in the Lake District. We particularly appreciated the quiet surroundings and the lovely details that included a very generous and tasty welcome basket. The suite was well appointed with beautiful linens, a hot shower and a very comfortable bed. Alister was very quick to respond to our messages and all of his recommendations were spot on. We especially loved the Buttermere and Ullswater hikes. The only thing we would have changed was to have booked a longer stay. Thanks, Ali, for a fabulous experience!

This was our second stay in this lovely cottage. It was peaceful, relaxing and spotlessly clean. Hilary had thought of everything to ensure we had an enjoyable time. The welcome pack was one of the best we have ever received. We will be returning.

We had a fantastic stay at the Granary Flat just outside Penrith. The flat was beautifully kept, comfortable, and had everything we needed, with plenty of space to relax and get ready for a nearby wedding. The host was really helpful before our arrival, providing lots of useful local information. The peaceful farm setting made it even more special. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful time! The thoughtful welcome basket (the homemade Victorian sponge cake with raspberries and clotted cream, along with the local bread, butter and milk) made me feel so welcomed. You can tell Daniel really takes great care of the place and its visitors. Our children loved the games. It’s just a five minute drive from Lowther Castle, where we started our walk to Ullswater, and only a minute’s walk to the fantastic George and Dragon pub.
