NB: LINEN, TOWELS & TOILETRIES NOT PROVIDED! Snug little mid-terrace property in a tiny village on Hadrian's Wall on the English side of the Solway Firth. Rather shabby but full of character & very cosy. Port Carlisle has a faded splendour - built on the site of a fishing village, for a brief time it was a major port serving Carlisle, with its own canal & later a railway; in the 1850s the Firth silted up so ships could no longer get in. Birdwatchers, walkers, fans of history, dogs will love it!

The house has good kitchen stocked with all the basics, from herbs, condiments and even the odd tin of baked beans, so if you fancy cooking, you can!.
